Chapter 342 Demon Prince

"Back off! Back off!"

Realizing that the flames were getting out of control, Soshyan immediately led the team back toward the entrance.

At this time, some strange shapes emerged from the flames. They had a cone-shaped headless body, and there were two long arms that seemed to be tied up. They looked slow and clumsy.

Then their sharp razor-like teeth and the irritating gas that changes colors and smells of sulfur that they constantly emit from their bodies make people very uneasy.

When they want to move, they do so through the recoil of impact, leaping high into the sky in a disturbing, paranormal, gravity-defying manner.

Seems a little ridiculous?

But the next second, they suddenly rushed forward at an unexpected speed, spraying colorful flames from their arms.

These flames are not bound by the laws of nature like ordinary fires. These flames sometimes appear in a pattern that shines with multiple colors, burning the metal and flesh in front of them to ashes. Sometimes they burn anything that touches them.

Frozen into ice cubes.

Soshyan even saw them spraying a stream of iridescent sweet liquid in the direction of the Space Marines.

"Don't get hit by this gas."

Thor reminded loudly.

"Sometimes they can dissociate any living body and leave only armor, and sometimes they have the opposite effect. You don't want to fight naked, do you?"

As if they heard his words, the demons couldn't help but laugh loudly and clapped and cheered.

"This is a fire demon. Like the fear demon, it's not good at close combat. It's up to you."

"Understood."

Seeing the demonic fire approaching, Soshiyang rushed forward and stunned the soul drinkers.

But something even stranger happened.

When encountering Soshiyang, the raging fire wave rolled back as if it were a natural enemy.

The fire demons screamed in fear and fled in all directions under Soshiyang's attack, like a group of naughty children driven away by angry adults.

When Soshyan drove away the fire demon, a large number of enemies poured out from the other side of the gate, the passage they came from.

Dozens of Horrors, the same pink and blue creatures they had just fought, swooped wildly at the Soul Drinkers.

Their screams contained anger and frustration, while other aliens circled the deck above, swooping and pulling like sharks.

"Destroy them!"

Thor ordered, firing his bolter.

The Space Marines began firing volleys of bolters, heavy bolters, rockets, and melta, all of which were used to tear apart the large number of Horrors gathered around the entrance.

While maintaining the blazing fire rain, some people turned their weapons to the top of the ceiling, and the small demons hovering above swooped down with piercing screams. Their barbs and serrated tails were swinging around like manta rays.

The same body rises and falls as it dives.

The Space Marines shot them down one by one with precise bursts of fire.

The cabin was filled with an ominous whirlpool of escaping energy, and the Soul Drinkers let their rage dance with it, causing the warp energy to roll back up like floating clouds.

Through the fog, Thor saw something strange squirming, condensing from the floating debris, like a sudden burst of flame from the embers.

This thing is larger than any daemon here, towering over the Space Marines.

"careful!"

Red lightning bursts out of the mist and penetrates a tactical team.

In the violent energy, the power armor was lifted off, the flesh was torn apart, and their smoldering remains were blown into the air, and then hit the wall heavily.

In just half a breath, four Soul Drinkers were killed.

What emerged from the surrounding vortex looked like a huge, nightmarish, humanoid bird.

It was at least 4 meters tall. It stood upright like a human. Its body covered in blue armor was supported by eagle-like legs. Its sharp claws scraped the metal floor, leaving a string of sparks as it moved.

A robe made of flames covered its body, and the strange wind from nowhere made the robe rustle.

Its arms were slender and powerful, holding a ball of flame that seemed solidified but was constantly changing colors in its claw-like hands.

A pair of huge wings extended from the monster's back, with shining feathers densely covered on them, and the wings were so long that they could almost cover the entire cabin in its shadow.

On the huge torso, a huge head is connected to an overly long neck.

Its face resembles that of a grotesque vulture, with a thick golden crown in the style of the Thousand Sons, dotted with slender feathers of multiple colors, and red and blue flames burning around its head.

As for the eyes, Thor felt a little regretful the moment he met those evil eyes.

Its eye waves are bottomless, like the black sky among the stars, or the deepest cave. Thor can see his own figure reflected on the dark sphere, like a small human being and the vast universe.

In comparison, an insignificant speck of dust surrounds an incomparable being.

"It turned out to be the Demon Prince——"

Unlike the Great Demon who was born as a fragment of the power of the Four Gods, the origin of the Demon Prince appears to be more corrupt.

Daemon Princes are former human champions raised as Daemons by the Chaos Gods. They trade their humanity for supernatural powers and immortal life

To attract the attention of the Chaos God they serve, Chaos Warriors must perform great and terrible deeds in pursuit of their ambitions.

They sacrificed enemies and allies alike, risking death by enemies or gods alike, and those few who managed to avoid death and becoming Chaos Spawn were forever changed.

Demon princes come in a variety of shapes, most of them thick and stout, with many derivatives such as horns and wings.

What is more noteworthy is the supernatural power they use, some of which are related to the Chaos God to whom they belong.

They have maintained a fierce ambition and ruthless cunning in the past, which helped them win the ultimate reward.

In the 41st Millennium, most Daemon Princes are descended from Chaos Space Marines, and these warriors have the ability and motivation to kill an entire world of humanity.

But the oldest demon prince was already raised by the Chaos Gods in the barbaric era before humans left ancient Terra.

A Daemon Prince rules over his Chaos mortal followers, and is often granted the right to rule over their own daemon worlds.

Even so, it is not uncommon for them to completely break away from the physical universe and join a demon army to become the right-hand man or even the commander of the Chaos Demon. However, because of their pre-human ancestry, real demons generally think that the demon prince is an "inferior product".

This belief is rarely proven, as many demon princes have "slain" powerful demons before joining the ranks of these immortals.

However, different gods have different requirements for their champions.
