Chapter 453 The Wrath of the Empire

The shipyard that the Red Pirates spent nearly ten years building in New Badab is dying in flames.

The giant platform structures suffered irreparable damage, gradually overturning and disintegrating, pulsing like a white dwarf star that suddenly appeared in orbit, a pulsing ball of multicolored light.

The shock waves it emitted made nearby star forts tremble.

In fact, the shell of the star fort has suffered serious collateral damage. Although the void shield is still operating, some areas have been overloaded. The structural debris and burning ship fragments thrown out by the explosion penetrated them and then hit the star.

On the fort shell.

What's even worse is the fleet parked in orbit, many of which were either destroyed by implosion or paralyzed.

The wreckage and debris were then captured by the gravity of New Badab and fell from orbit to the ground.

The entire orbital space is in chaos.

The electromagnetic shock destroyed the communication network, and what few remaining channels and communications were filled with frantic ship-to-ship exchanges: questions, inquiries, requests, emphasis.

What happened? What happened? What happened!

But they got no response, no information, and no data.

The mechanical priest in charge of the communication center had his throat cut, his speech machine torn to pieces, and his brain scrambled.

As for who did it, no one knows.

The only facts are those recorded through the portholes with the naked eye and with cameras.

But some smart pirates have realized that this is by no means an accident.

This is an attack, and it can only be an attack, because no accident can have such a huge impact.

New Badab has a strict gate, an extremely cautious inspection and re-inspection system, and an excellent multi-layered security system. Behind a disaster of this magnitude there must be the support of some powerful force—premeditated and full of hostility.

This was not an accident, this was an attack.

In the unfiltered and complex communication signals, the words "empire" and "fleet" have begun to appear.

About thirty seconds after the impact caused by the Tyrant's Claw, the ships moored at the high-rise anchorage began to urgently start their engines and weapon systems.

Some of them attempted to power the void shields, and even prepared to escape from their designated berths and shift positions.

Afterwards, a small predator ship suddenly exploded.

A giant steel beast began to hunt in the chaos. To the Red Pirates, the name of that giant battleship was the Malevolent Divine Power, but it has been renamed the Unbound Soul.

Now it fights for the Emperor.

After destroying several small predator ships, it poured all its large light spear weapons on the Carnage-class cruiser Blackblood, turning the warship that had no time to open its void shield into a ball of metal fragments, which was gradually expanded.

Fireballs sprayed in all directions.

Then it starts selecting the next target.

The battle barge Mother of Tears following the Unbound Soul also opened fire, as did the battleship Star Wolf, and other battleships.

The sudden strike fleet is like a wolf rushing into a flock of sheep, killing the enemy and throwing them into chaos.

Many mortal pirate captains have witnessed the Unbound Soul's ruthless hunt on the berth line. Everyone knows what the huge warship is doing. It is destroying all ships in its path, just like a man

Execution of a row of unarmed prisoners.

This is not a predatory attack.

The pirates know this, they have done something similar, when attacking a spaceport, all but the captured ships are destroyed so that they cannot be reactivated and used

.

But now, this disaster has befallen them.

Captain Helmerser of the strike cruiser Bloodsurge was yelling at his men, demanding reports on power, weapons, shields, data - or anything.

However, the Bloodsurge was parked coldly at the berth, and its engine was almost shut down. Even with the help of the Four Gods, it would take them fifty minutes to get the warship into combat readiness.

Its energy reactor is at minimum power, providing energy for loading, unloading, repairs and inspections, and its engines, weapons or shields are completely shut down.

"Motivation! I need motivation!"

As an Astartes, Helmuther became angry, and no one wanted to stand in front of him.

"Power is increasing, sir!"

Only his first mate answered him.

"It's not fast enough at all! Activate the power immediately, and it doesn't matter if it's overloaded!"

"The engine room says we can't get the power up to—"

"Tell those bastards in the engine room that I need power! Not excuses!"

But there was no time.

The Imperial strike fleet is rapidly approaching, causing as much damage as possible, destroying all warships...

Helmerser stopped his thoughts. He forced his mind to stay clear for a moment, realizing that he was overwhelmed by panic and extreme pressure - everyone was like this.

The bridge around him was in chaos. A clear mind was his only hope that he could salvage something, anything, from the situation.

The enemy fleet is approaching, that's the point.

When this attack came, all the warships were on standby, because of this they were helpless to fight back.

This opportunity was seized so well, it was as if the enemy knew what they were doing at any time.

So and so, there is only one explanation.

Insider!

"Don't let me find that bastard!"

Any curses are lost at this time. The empire's fleet is releasing waves of merciless bombardments. The warships decorated with churches and aquila emblems are flashing with colorful and violent fury, and each broadside salvo will be activated.

Brake the gravity system to resist the huge recoil force.

And each of their broadside salvos will kill several defenseless ships, turning them into a ball of flames and metal in the blink of an eye.

At this time, the most powerful Unbound Soul gradually approached the Blood Abuse.

"Where's the motivation? It's not ready yet?"

The first mate shook his head in despair, and Helmerser was also in despair.

A few seconds later, the Unbound Soul trembled and released another terrifying volley of light spears. The unprotected middle section of the Bloodsurge was hit by a large amount of firepower and was immediately torn apart.

The destruction of the Blood Torture made Hell Eyes tremble, because the distance between them was actually very close.

Under the strong impact, the remaining technicians in the Star Fortress screamed in fear.

Although their vision was blurred, they were shocked, and they were disconnected from the system, they were still able to detect the huge object hitting the star fort shell, as well as the radiation tide and gravity disturbance caused by its terrifying kinetic energy.

The destroyed Bloodsurge occupies the chaotic sky, bright spiderweb-like high-voltage currents cling to its surface, and large amounts of electromagnetic pulses are destroying the star fort's already overwhelmed internal systems.

"Damn it!"

Amidst the curses, Adnus's scimitar came out of its sheath in an instant when he came to the central control hall, and the sharp blade easily cut through the thick cable.

In an instant, sparks flew, and the technicians who had fallen into epilepsy were finally freed from pain.

This is a difficult and correct decision. Although it will cut off the external communication of the entire star fort, it can also protect its internal systems from being interfered with.

Then, Adnus of the ‘Blood Forest’ gave the order.

"Seal all decks and cabins, and everyone will enter the anti-jump gang combat state! Prepare to make a subspace jump!"
