Chapter 656: Welcoming the air and dust

Under the gray sky, the yellow-brown earth is filled with dust.

Under the sunlight, a large army stood in line, with a corridor emptying in the middle, and rows of fully armed soldiers stood attentively for each other. Various flags and flags danced in the wind, tanks and armored personnel carriers raised their gun barrels to pay tribute, and the sound of the trumpet of the Titan Legion echoed in the morning breeze.

The drums came without stopping, and the Titans of the Iron Skull Legion formed a tall background, illuminated by the rising sun.

Above head, the sky became more gloomy, and the sound of wind mixed with volcanic ash formed a lizard-like roar. The roar of war drums almost flooded the noise of the nest city ten kilometers away.

The planet Governor Hermann von Strab was wearing golden armor, with ostrich feather rings adorned around his head. Several servants held the ten-meter-long peacock tail feather cloak behind him. The golden paint carefully applied to his face by the makeup artist solidified into a mask as thin as a cicada's wings.

He held a ritual weapon in each of his hands. The countless jewelry inlaid on the scepter and the stinger blade reflected the dim sunlight, and various medals and patterns covered his entire upper body.

The guards surrounded him, their swords unsheathed, maintaining a stiff and ritual defensive posture. A huge mastiff lies in the dust at the foot of the governor, licking its fur, staring at the hot earth without interest with his drooping eyes.

This beast is one of the countless extinct species in Guterra. It was traced back by Martian sages with the help of DNA samples and is extremely precious.

The captain of Titans wearing bronze armor and red robe and silver helmet, Kurtz Mannheim, stood solemnly on the right hand of the Governor of the Planet, holding a ritual sword. Beside him was General Aiko Harold, the supreme commander of the Nundu Volganus, and the former commander of the Hamigidon Steel Corps. The rubies and emeralds on his platinum armor shone brightly, and the mechanical prosthetic eyes shone faintly green behind the white plastic steel mask.

Behind him, a soldier personally held the flag of the Hamigidon Steel Corps. The four-meter-high flagpole was embedded with diamonds at the tail, and the top was a pure gold eagle.

On the left of Hermann von Straub stood the director of the Hamigidon Star Hall. The innate dwarf wore a grey robe and a titanium headband. He had a huge influence in the upper planet and had a place on the power ladder.

The planet's Mechanic Bishop stood on a floating disc half a meter away from the ground. The edge of his robe was cut into gears and was carried by several blind servants.

The closest to him is the representative of the planet's legal battle psy, Ms. Shiat Sanford - who was wearing a red burqa, and there were thirteen psyches standing around her.

Hundreds of servants held up the white canopy that was stirred by the wind above the officers' heads to block the falling ashes.

Then, a silver-gray painted and a white painted thunder eagle descended from the blue sky, whizzing past the heads of the crowd, and landed at the end of the queue in the hiss of a counter-thruster.

The war drums and horns all stopped. Apart from the light sound of the canopy being blown by the wind and the hustle and bustle that the nest cannot stop, there was silence.

As the hatch of the two thunder eagles opened at the same time, two figures appeared in front of everyone, and walked along the queue towards the commanders who had been waiting for a long time. Ten Terminators followed each of them, holding high the flag of the battle group.

Then, Hermann von Strab nodded, and suddenly, the huge army saluted like a single person, and all kinds of flags were tilted down to show their respect.

The two tall figures gradually approached, crossed the sand between the queue, and nodded respectfully to the soldiers who bowed on both sides from time to time.

One was wearing a gray Terminator armor with silver edges, he was twice as taller than the tallest soldier in the team, while the other was wearing white ritual armor.

The crowd was silent in shock, and the Astartes spent almost eight minutes walking along the entire queue to the planet’s Governor.

In this eternal long time, except for Astarte, only the wind-blown flags and the slowly drifting clouds in the sky made any movement.

Ten meters away from the Governor of the Planet and other commanders, Astart's team stopped, and then the man wearing the Terminator took the lead in unloading his helmet, revealing a noble and powerful face. His skin was light white, his hair was pitch black, and his eyes were as bright as the blue sky.

Afterwards, the white-armored warrior also untied his helmet, revealing his scarred face and quiet eyes.

"Dear two commanders of the battle."

The Governor lowered his head and said:

"You represent the will of the beloved and holy emperor, and I welcome you with great honor on behalf of the people of Amydodon, and may we work together to defeat the powerful enemies."

He then asked the guards to take his weapon, one of them took off the golden gloves from the governor's right hand, and the servants also let go of the peacock tail feather cloak and let it float in the air with the breeze.

"I am the leader of the Knights' Team of Stars, Soshiyan Alexey."

"I am the commander of the White Temple Battle Team, Randall Blancad."

The two shook hands with the Governor (finger) one after another, and then Soshiyang whispered:

"We are here to annihilate the great enemy of the empire. This is our eternal oath, for the emperor."

"For the Emperor!!"

Everyone praised it together.

After that, there was a grand welcoming dinner, not only the officer class, but almost all the upper class people of Amijidon attended, and Soshiyan had to replace the Terminator on his body for this.

Until late at night on the Amydodon subcontinent, the crowds participating in the grand welcome ceremony had gradually dispersed, and the Governor of the Planet arranged for people to lead Space Marines such as Soshyan and other senior officers to his military room for detailed talks.

The military intelligence room is very large, with more than 400 square meters. There is a huge long table in the middle and rows of shiny mahogany chairs on both sides. The officers have been waiting for more than half an hour, including the command layer of the two battle groups.

"Please do this."

Suddenly, the laughing voice of the planet Governor Hermann von Strab came from the door, and everyone immediately stood up.

Outside the door, Hermann, who had already put on a marshal's dress, led two commanders Soshyan and Randall into the military intelligence room.

"Everyone, the two commanders of the battle just finished the banquet. I originally wanted them to have a rest, but they must talk to everyone."

After saying that, he raised his hand with a smile.

"Please."

The two were at the closest position to the left of the Governor, but as he walked over, Randall suddenly laughed:

"Amy Girdon is already on the front line, and we have to act according to the front line's concept of time."

Hermann von Strab's expression froze for a few seconds when he heard this, but immediately returned to his original state.

"Yes, yes, everyone, just sit down."

After everyone sat down, Hermann was the first to speak naturally. He was still smiling, but his voice became colder.
