Chapter 857 Greas goal

After dealing with the enemies in front of him, Soshyan turned around and strode towards Talos.

The Prophet's trouble was not resolved. The Destroyer, who was kneeling on the ground, launched a fatal blow and slammed two phase blades into Talos' shoulders, trying to overwhelm him with brute force.

But the two sharp blades were held by Talos and Soshyan at the same time. Then the two of them used their strength together, and the sturdy Destroyer was directly torn into two pieces.

Before falling, the Destroyer's head was thrown back, and the chirping sound from the built-in generator almost deafened the two of them.

The cry echoed in the hall, becoming even more deafening.

Soshyan noticed something strange at the edge of his consciousness and couldn't help frowning - this scream was not only the vent of the alien's anger, but also a summons.

Soon, the echo finally faded away, and was replaced by a new sound - the sound of sharp claws scratching on the iron stone.

The ground beneath Talos' feet began to shake, and he quickly stepped aside to avoid the sharp claws that suddenly emerged from the ground.

"What is it again!"

Then he staggered, raised his melta gun and fired until all the bullets were gone.

A large number of Skinners kept pouring out of the dust and smoke and rushed towards the two men.

Soshyan also raised his plasma and fired at the new enemy, but soon his weapon stopped roaring, and the two could only use melee weapons to defend themselves.

Compared to other undead units, the Skinners are obviously not that afraid of Soshyan's gray marrow power. It seems that the new owner of this tomb has found some kind of solution——

"That does not work!"

As Talos spoke, he used the undead phase blade he picked up to backhand a Skinner.

"Either get out or move forward!"

The situation before them was already very clear: whether they stayed here or pushed forward, they would soon be overwhelmed by the enemy.

But Soshyan didn't want to give up just like that. He always had a feeling that as long as he found that thing, everything would be solved.

"Then go forward!"

After saying that, Soshyan wielded the Holy Flame Sword and opened his bow from left to right, constantly crushing the alien head.

Soon, they walked back and forth and came to another exit of the hall.

Although the auspicious device in the armor was already warning him of the presence of enemies in the corridor in front of him, Soshyan still plunged in, but in fact their situation was worse than a few minutes ago.

Sure enough, as soon as they entered the passage, the Skinners attacked them one after another, just like before.

But the two fought side by side, repelling the enemy's attacks time and time again, and the aliens could not even get close to them.

The power of Soshyan's Gray Marrow is still effective against the Skinner.

Only once did a guy rush to close combat range, but he was quickly chopped down to the ground by Soshyan's two swords.

Finally, the momentum of the attack weakened, and in the end there was only the sound of the two breathing and the sound of metallic liquid dripping.

Thick smoke enveloped the alien corpse, and an ominous silence surrounded it.

Soshyan counted the time in his head vigilantly. Finally, he hummed with satisfaction and put down the sword in his hand.

"They retreated, probably planning their next move."

"Didn't you say that you have killed the undead lord?"

"They've been controlled by another guy."

Soshyan said, checking the ammunition of the plasma pistol and found that it could not fire a single shot.

"And I always feel like there's something wandering around the edges of my consciousness."

"Then we'd better make good use of the little time we've got."

Talos said, lifting the machine slave head hanging on his waist.

"It's not possible to walk blindly like this. There must be a more accurate map. I guess it should be there."

The prophet deftly pulled out several energy cables from the armor and connected them to the hidden sockets of the bleeding head.

Immediately, the machine slave's mouth opened, and the sudden energy peak made its eyes widen.

The machine slave spat out a large piece of meaningless code, followed by a hollow, mechanical voice.

"Warning, warning, the No. 3 exploration area has been lost. Warning, the J5 security center has been lost. Warning, the No. 11 transportation line has been lost. Warning, report the current situation to Sage Dimar Kaman, warning -"

It then issued a long list of warnings, listing a long list of failed counterattacks and defensive actions.

Talos used the armored operating system to search the machine slave's memory bank, peeling off its code layer by layer, and found that the machine slave was preparing to report to a sage in person before being buried under the rubble.

Then, he looked at Soshyan.

"This is the messenger of the Mechanicus Sage named Dimar Kaman. He sent this guy out to receive the report. I'm not sure if he is on this planet."

"Do you think this guy can lead us to him?"

Soshyan asked, inserting the sword in his hand into the ground.

Talos did not speak, but continued to search the machine slave's memory bank, recording the map information in its mind.

This machine slave has recorded the map of the entire Mechanicus exploration area, and has the highest authority of the identity code, secret key, and system operation authority.

The prophet blinked and looked at Soshyan.

"You guessed it right, there is a mysterious area down here. The Mechanicus' target should be there. They seemed to have discovered something extraordinary, so they were sneaking around, but they still didn't touch it."

Soshyan frowned.

"How far is it?"

"According to the messenger's records, the nearest tunnel is about five hundred meters away. It is still closed. It seems that not even the Necrons have discovered it."

Talos said and frowned.

"In other words, the undead hadn't been found when it last scanned."

Then he pulled the wire out of his head, and the eyes on his head immediately dimmed.

If the power is kept flowing through it, its delicate parts may be burned out by the armor's high-voltage energy, and they won't be able to use it later.

"Was that before or after it was buried?"

Soshyan asked, but Talos just shrugged.

"Probably before being buried."

With that said, he hung the machine slave's head back on his waist, and Soshyan looked at the time. The timer showed that it had been three hours since they entered the underground.

Sifting the information from the machine slave's head took a little longer than he expected.

"Then act quickly, otherwise things will change if you wait too long."

Soshyan pulled out the sword from the geography, and the two of them headed towards the mysterious area designated by the Mechanicus again, crossing the alien corpses scattered everywhere.

They marched slowly and carefully, always alert to the enemy lurking not far away.

Along the way, Talos could also feel aliens watching them from the darkness around them.

He realized that Soshyan was right, the enemy was indeed observing them, and he could now feel the feeling at the edge of his consciousness.

The prophet kept scanning the surrounding darkness, but found nothing.

Of course, this does not prove that there is nothing around, it only shows that the enemy is very good at hiding.
