Chapter 997: A terrible thing in the pit

Thor moved in the darkness and heat, feeling the surrounding temperature rise again, and it was obvious that his route was right. After trying all his might, he finally sneaked into this hidden area.

A few months ago, just after he entered the area occupied by the Black Legion and entered a huge underground cave called Kora Deep Pit, he found that the Black Legion had already arrived first and was carrying out some secret activities here, and they even built a temple underground.

He did not inform Soshiyang of this news at the first time. On the one hand, it was for safety reasons. After all, he was already at the core of the enemy-occupied area. On the other hand, he also planned to figure out what the other party was doing first. What exactly did Abaddon want to do in the enemy a thousand meters underground?

Suddenly, in his dim vision, he saw a corpse on a flatbed car.

It was a corpse in armor and was dismembered. The green of the Dark Angel was almost covered by a bloody luster. Thor could only identify it by the marks on the dead. This was a soldier of the Dark Angel's Crow Wings.

But the body part of the corpse is not complete, because the head is gone, and there is only a silent servant by his side.

Thor knew that the word-bearers would dismember their enemies or sacrifice slaves to their gods, but their sacrifices were often purposeful.

Soon, Thor saw several warriors wearing black armor walking into the temple and retreated deeper into the darkness.

One of them is the Chaos Lord with a unique conical horn helmet, surrounded by spikes, black mist and blood, and beside him is a twisted thing wearing a skull helmet and a scepter. Thor felt that he was a bit like the Dark Apostle of the Word Bearer.

“Pack it.”

As soon as the Chaos Space Marine came in, she gave orders to the servants.

As if out of some instinctive understanding, the servant bowed briefly, then put the body of the Dark Angel into a steel coffin, then lifted him onto his shoulders, and left the room under the guidance of Chaos Space Marine.

Thor wandered behind them, exploring if there were other people in the shadows. For a short while, he guessed that he had been discovered, but no one turned around.

While keeping a certain distance from the enemy, Thor is taken to a path with statues lined by both sides, most of which are twisted and weird.

Thor watched intently as he watched the coffin holders pray in front of a group of explosion-proof doors-the exact action was unseen, but their reverence was obvious, and then continued into a dim room in the distance.

He walked into the room as a hidden cloak.

But when he went further, he suddenly realized that it was an anatomical chamber.

A surgical table occupies the center of the room, surrounded by rounds of seats, and although no one sits, any ritual or experiments performed here are secretly performed.

The guy who resembles the Dark Apostle of the Word Bear put on a robe with black edges and greets his assistants to walk forward.

The fallen creatures, hunched and dressed in robes, sneaked to the bedside.

As they lifted the scattered parts of the Dark Angel's corpse and placed them on it, the scorching radiation gently penetrated the silence.

Many years ago, maybe Thor would be angry, but now he only felt a little cold, as if his blood had been drained and turned into ice and another layer of soil covered him.

The dark apostle walked forward and approached the table. The servants retreated respectfully, and then he picked up one arm to look at it.

"No head?"

he asked, lowering that hand and turning to his companion.

"The wizard will take it away."

Chaos Lord's simple answer.

"I understand that now our omniscient War Commander is mainly to please an Etheric resident so that it can give us some more benefits."

The Dark Apostle almost had a tone of contempt.

"You speak inappropriately, you'd better remember who you are serving now."

"Yes."

The Dark Apostle turned his rebuttal into a roar.

"Your loyalty is well known, and your ambition is well known."

The Chaos Lord tried to refute, but was rudely interrupted.

"Don't talk nonsense, I need to concentrate, you are testing my patience."

The Chaos Lord was impatient with his long speech, but he did not continue to argue, but instead snorted coldly and retreated into the shadow to let the other party work.

Thor kept staring at him with disgust, but he was curious about the obvious differences among the Black Army team.

"The warrior's hand."

The Dark Apostle said, stroking the palm of the body with his armored fingers, continuing his morbid examination.

“Very strong, but I need more.”

Then he pointed to the body of the dark angel in front of him.

"Open it."

One of the assistants took out a laser cutting machine from under the slab and cut it from the front from the breastplate.

The gilded decoration fell off the ceramic and dropped on the floor with a slam, and everyone ignored it.

When the assistant holding the knife retreated, the Dark Apostle inserted his finger into the incision, hummed hard, and opened the chest of the corpse.

The complex structure of the Astart organ was exposed, and almost everyone could recognize the back of the bone plate that merged into Astart's ribs.

The Dark Apostle reached into the bloody darkness and pulled out an organ.

It looks like an oval kidney, or maybe a phage, and the dark apostle looked at it coldly, put down his organs and took out a handful of internal organs from it.

He threw them onto the slabs and stood for a long time, staring at the pulled organs and the gushing blood.

"The Dark Angels are still coming to pursue their own secrets."

The Dark Apostle hissed, and Thor saw his intention in this move.

Then the warlock passed through the bloody miasma with a finger.

"They believe there are their rebellious brothers here, and the general can take advantage of this."

"Where is the Astral Knight?"

The Chaos Lord asked in the darkness, and Thor finally knew the guy's name.

The corpse-discernist, he had heard of such people, which is a very rare genre branch within the word-bearer. They were able to perform dark divination rituals with corpses, and were very precise.

"I don't know, unless you can get a body of a Knight of the Astrology."

The corpse-discernist stared at the open chest of the dark angel.

"The blood vessel on the third lung, where it means that they are not completely in line with the friendly forces, and he is even a person who does not know his fate until he dies."

The voice of the corpse detector was filled with malice.

Then, the Chaos Lord in the shadow spoke again.

"Take that other body in."

Soon, the servants dragged another cold body, and Thor saw it clearly that it was a mortal.

He was about forty years old, a man, naked, with obvious muscle profiles on his body and many calluses on his hands. He was obviously a manual laborer.

The corpse detector looked at it, then picked up the knife from the side.

"Hey, you have to be careful. This is the last ethnic group of those cavemen. If this is not clear, then we will lose all the clues."

Hearing this sentence, the corpse detector was stunned for a while.

"The last one?"

"Nonsense, most of the cave dwellers were slaughtered by the imperial colonists, and only a small number of them were mixed into the social group of the colonists. But they had worked hard to dig them out. The ancient records clearly state that they were the last group of people who knew the entrance to the underground network."

Hearing this, Thor frowned.

How could the Black Legion know that there is an entrance to the Internet underground? Who told them?

"I got it, I'll be careful."

As he said that, the corpse detector cut open the body of the deceased and began to flip through the complicated internal organs.
