Chapter 65: Ren's Tactics

The carriage temporarily stopped on the side of the road, and Renn led the team to the vicinity of the Goblin Outpost.

Seen from a distance, there are several rather simple conical sheds standing next to the road. They are made of tree branches and covered with weeds. It seems that goblins can also build simple shelters.

There were several fires near the small shed, with racks set up above them. There were animal meat being roasted on the racks, and there were skins and offal from the animals nearby.

There are goblins holding bone sticks, wooden sticks, stones, and bone darts, and they are divided into three teams to patrol back and forth. The rest are guarding the barbecue by the fire. Are they considered chefs?

"How to fight?" Ren asked in a low voice.

Billy turned to him and said: "Mr. Ren, leave this small matter to us, just watch it here! Taylor, you are a magician, say hello to them first. Then leave it to me!"

Taylor nodded calmly, held up his magic wand and softly chanted a spell to summon the wind element.

Then he pointed at the Goblin outpost and recited a new spell, releasing a compressed fireball. The wind element injected magic power into the fireball, causing it to increase several times in an instant before throwing it out suddenly.

"Huh——!" The fireball drew a beautiful parabola and landed on the Goblin Outpost, causing a violent explosion.

Unfortunately, most of the goblins were on patrol and did not stand close together. Only five were killed. The remaining goblins were instantly vigilant and screamed strangely as they rushed out to look for the source of the attack.

"You disgusting green-skinned brats, come here to die!" Billy rushed forward with a big sword in his hand, not caring about the goblins at all, just like chopping melons and vegetables.

After all, he is a third-level warrior. Basically, he can kill instantly with one sword.

Charles, Dennis and Stalker David simply stood behind and watched the show with Ren.

After Taylor threw the fireball, he also watched from behind.

Billy went on a rampage alone, and each goblin died under his sword.

Although Renn did not join the battle, he saw system messages constantly appearing. Every time a goblin was killed, he would receive 30 experience points. It was really fun to form a team, and he could gain experience while sitting in the back.

Soon after, all the goblins at the outpost were killed. Billy's sword and armor were dripping with blood, and he strode back to Renn: "Sir Renn, what do you think? These disgusting green-skinned brats are not at all.

opponent!"

Ren looked at Billy carefully: "Are you injured?"

"It's not a big deal!" Billy didn't care about the bruises on his body. "As a soldier, this little injury is nothing."

Although goblins are the lowest level of monsters, Billy's level three strength is enough to crush them. It is normal for him to suffer minor injuries when facing more than twenty people at the same time. At least his life will not be in danger.

Ren handed Billy a piece of barbecue: "Recover first!"

"Thank you, Mr. Ren!" Billy took the barbecue and gnawed directly beside it.

As the captain, Ren stepped forward to collect the loot, groping the goblin corpses and obtaining their ears, then inspecting the outpost and taking away their roasted meat and animal skins.

Returning to the team, Billy, who had eaten barbecue, had almost recovered from his injuries. He stood up and said to him: "Sir Ren, let's move on and eliminate the Goblin tribe in one go!"

"Wait a minute!" Ren waved his hand for him to sit down, looked around at everyone and said, "This is how you all deal with goblins?"

"Is there any problem? Sir Ren!" Billy said doubtfully.

"Mr. Taylor!" Renn looked at the magician, "The trick you just used was a fire group attack magic, right?"

"It is indeed fire magic. What does group attack mean?" Taylor heard this word for the first time and couldn't understand it.

"It means that this magic can damage many enemies at the same time! I call this group attack magic, or group attack for short!" Renn habitually used game terms. Of course, people from other worlds would not understand, so he explained briefly.

Taylor suddenly realized, nodded and said: "My bursting fireball is indeed a group attack magic! The wind element injects magic power to make it do more damage!"

"The damage is indeed good, but I found a problem!" Renn told him, "Your bursting fireball requires a period of time to recite a spell. If you want to cause maximum damage to the enemy, you need them to be close enough and cannot be scattered. When you recite the incantation,

It’s difficult to grasp. You can’t recite the incantation and accurately calculate the time they gather at the same time. If you can do it, you won’t just kill five goblins in the explosion!”

"If they gather together, it won't be a problem to blow them all up!" Taylor still has this confidence, "But the goblins are not that cooperative. I can't shout to them and ask them to gather together and be my target!"

"Magicians' spells are very powerful, but this is their limitation!" Billy laughed, "It's better to break through head-on like me, it's simple and easy! Of course, in the face of large battlefields, magic is more lethal!"

"I just observed it and felt that everyone is very good in terms of strength! But it's not efficient to fight like this." Ren said, "I have an idea, or a tactic, that can make it more efficient and make it easier to deal with goblins. Everyone

Are you interested in listening?"

The five adventurers looked at each other and thought to themselves: We are all experienced adventurers and know more than you. We are just dealing with goblins and we need your guidance?

But they all came after Ren, and they couldn't make him unhappy.

I finally joined this temporary team, and only by gaining his trust can I have a chance to become a regular member.

They didn't want to miss such a good opportunity, so they pretended to be very interested and nodded one after another.

Renn said to them: "If you want to achieve higher efficiency, the most important thing is cooperation! Everyone has the strength. Once cooperation is formed, the battle will become easier!"

"How should we cooperate?" Billy asked.

Ren smiled and replied: "First of all, David, you are responsible for investigation and bringing back intelligence. The location distribution of the goblins is very important. Based on your intelligence, we can formulate lure tactics!"

"Seduction tactic?" The team members all looked at him.

"Yes! The so-called luring tactic is that Mr. Billy tries to lure the goblins out according to their position, let them chase behind him, and gather them into piles by moving around! Gather the scattered goblins without facing each other head-on.

, keep a certain distance. Mr. Taylor prepares in advance and sees the opportunity to throw explosive fireballs, which can instantly destroy most of the goblins. Three archers, Charles and Dennis, and I set up an ambush to deal with those who were not killed, Mr. Billy.

Then, by cooperating with David in harvesting, we can eliminate them all in the shortest time and reduce the possibility of melee injuries!"

This set is actually the monster grouping tactics commonly used in the game to clear dungeons, with warriors pulling monsters, mages blocking slots to throw magic, and remote professional assistance. Multiple mages were supposed to group monsters together, but only Taylor was recruited, so we had to make do!
