0182 Chapter 4 The End of the Ordinary (Section 53)

The dark golden hazy light door disappeared behind him, and what appeared in front of Anbis' eyes was a grotto full of primitive feeling.

Extending from the hemispherical dome to the ground, there are all mysterious and mysterious patterns, faintly exuding a dark brilliance of indescribable colors.

The dome is like a big man lying upside down on a table. It looks like it is surrounded by natural and uncarved rocks, but there are images on the rocks that would never appear naturally.

It was a series of interlaced straight lines that divided the entire cave wall into countless uniform equilateral triangles.

The entire space gave people an extremely damp, dark, and depressing feeling. Even though Anbis was standing where he was, he felt as if he was standing in the palm of God, at the mercy of others.

The apparently towering dome made him feel as if an endless ocean was pressing down on his back. Just breathing in made him feel a little bit of hardship and fear.

The moment he stepped into this space, Anbis felt his feet get wet. Only then did he notice that the entire dome was immersed in ankle-deep water.

He was sure that he had never been to this stone hall, but he always felt that what he saw must be familiar. It seemed that the answer was right on his lips, but he couldn't call it out for a while.

Looking around, in the middle of the empty natural grotto, the only obvious man-made object is an altar. That thing is about knee-high, and on it stands a chest-high table like a pulpit in a church or an old-fashioned podium in a school.

The high table was made of the same stone and was integrated with the altar below. The tabletop had no edges. When Anbis glanced over, his pupils suddenly shrank.

On the stone table, he saw something he had never seen before, but yet thought about it day and night.

That was the last third of the fragments of [Antique Zero] that he had been searching for but had never found a way to obtain.

Then, Anbis finally realized and remembered where this place was.

In his mobile phone, in the folder specially set up for the purpose of investigating [Antique Zero], there are still photos of this place - a place where he mobilized the entire family's strength and dug deep but never found any clues.

Secret Sanctuary.

It turns out that the answer that I have been searching for has been buried in the family's forbidden area?!

"You seem...familiar with this place?"

The sudden sound from behind almost pressed against the back of Anbis's neck, causing him to startle. His whole body tensed up and he took a big step forward while turning around to look back.

Appearing behind him was a stalwart figure wearing a sterling silver mask with a sad face. That pitiful tone, combined with the five big and three thick figures, looked completely eccentric.

But that's nothing. What really made Anbis nervous was that he had just looked around the entire towering stone hall after stepping into the portal.

Not only behind him, Anbis could be sure that there was no one in any corner of the hall.

If this person has been avoiding his sight and always walking in the direction behind him, that is impossible. Because the ground under his feet is not the ground of the platform, but is covered with water.

If someone walks in the water, no matter how secretly it is done, it is impossible not to make a sound at all, not to mention the ripples that will inevitably appear in the water.

You know, after being transformed by the [Water of Eternal Life], Anbis's hearing is quite sharp.

"What is your relationship...with the apostolic organization?"

Thinking of the origin of the photo in his hand and looking at the slightly familiar silver mask, Anbis narrowed his eyes. He enjoyed the comfort of killing mortals, but he didn't want to really challenge an opponent who didn't know the details.

In the final analysis, he is a careerist and a businessman. He has never achieved any results in combat training, and he is simply unable to appreciate the joy of fighting against strong men.

"Hey... time has really passed for so long that you have all forgotten... who is your real master?" The strong man in black robe wearing a sad mask sighed:

"I am one of the middle-level leaders of the apostolic organization. I am mainly responsible for receiving divine revelations and coordinating and planning the outline of believers' actions on earth.

But these are not important. What is important is that on the last day before the end, you came here."

"So we are enemies?" Anbis retreated slowly and calmly, reaching for the pistol in the gun pocket under his arm. Facing an unknown opponent, he still instinctively chose to use civilized weapons:

"Is this the apostle's final conspiracy? In order to avenge the Scarry family's encirclement and suppression, they spent all their money to unknowingly tamper with our forbidden areas.

Once a major crisis occurs and Scarry needs to rely on the buried power, he will be teleported to you, thus missing the opportunity to fight.

No...could it be that this entire war, the behemoth that surrendered to the pinnacle of world power in half a day, was in desperate danger, was originally planned by you in secret?"

"Hey... you still don't understand," the sad-faced apostle sighed again, but still said without any haste: "Scary and the apostle have never been enemies. We are both servants of the gods.

Scarry's participation in the war to exterminate the apostles was the tacit approval of the gods; Scarry's current desperate situation is also the will of our Lord.

We have never touched Scary's secret forbidden area, and we don't have the ability to do so.

The secrets buried deep underground in Scarry Castle originally lead to this place, the place closest to the glory of God on this planet - the Great Temple of the Oracle!"

Looking through the eye holes of the mask, he looked at Anbis' guarded and insane gaze, and he sighed deeply for the last time:

"What you choose to believe is your own business. I have fulfilled all my obligations. I am just a mortal and have no power.

If you always care about my existence, then it's okay to kill me. I won't resist, and I don't have the ability to resist. But before that, there is one last thing to tell you.

As a poor person who cannot listen to the teachings of the gods, I think there is only one reason for you to come here, which is to find the power of your family's ancient inheritance and solve the dilemma on earth.

Go, everything you ask for is on the altar. The key to the complete doomsday is the [Antique Zero] in your mouth, and the changes in your prayers will be heard by the gods.

They will definitely give you the strength you desire."

"Do you have anything else to tell me?" Anbis took out his pistol and pointed it at the sad-faced apostle's forehead, which was not covered by the mask, no longer concealing it.

The latter's eyes were full of smiles and he slowly shook his head.

boom!

Brains splattered everywhere, and Anbis immediately pulled the trigger.

Regardless of whether what this weirdo said is true or false, Anbis never intended to recite the ancestral forbidden spell in front of strangers. Scarry is the representative of the gods on earth? So what?

What does Anbis have to do with him?
