Chapter 14 What did you eat?

When I woke up, I found myself in a strange environment.

The room was dark, with only the moonlight streaming in through the window.

Is it night? Have I been unconscious for so long?

I sat up, my eyes wandering around, and I heard a young voice shouting: "Mom, you wake up!"

I was startled, my body trembled with fright, and I followed the sound tremblingly.

I saw a child of three or four years old, with a cannon on his head and a bellyband, standing not far from the bed, blinking at me with a harmless look on his face.

The way he was dressed was so weird that I subconsciously felt that he was not human!

What was he going to call me just now? Mother?!

I shivered, suppressed my fear, and asked, "Who is your mother! Who are you? Where is Han Jiuchen?"

The child looked at me with a puzzled look on his face, "Mom, don't you recognize me?"

"Stop yelling, where are you? Who are you?!" My voice became louder, almost screaming.

"It's really annoying, mother doesn't recognize me anymore," the child pouted and shook his head, "I'm Dong'er, dad said, there is no Han Jiuchen here."

"Your father is again..."

I wanted to continue asking questions, but was interrupted by a man's voice.

"Baby, don't you miss your mother? Come back to your mother's arms quickly!"

My eyes widened with horror on my face: Who is talking? The voice was clearly in this room, but there was no one in the room except me and this doll!

Who is speaking?! Is he a human or a ghost?!

I screamed in surprise, showing an overly frightened reaction, and subconsciously wanted to escape from the room.

However, before I could stand up, the child seemed to have seen through my intention. He immediately moved to the door and blocked the way out.

Then he yelled and read a string of things I couldn't understand. I felt like I had been stabbed and couldn't move.

"You, what do you want to do?" I was so scared that my whole body froze and I held my breath.

He chuckled and screamed like a mother.

I remained sitting on the bed and could only watch him.

"Baby, hurry up and get into mother's arms." The voice just now urged.

The doll hummed twice, as if in response, and then walked towards me swayingly.

"Mom, I'm coming~"

My whole body was shaking with fear, and I felt as if I was in an ice cellar.

I know it's not that the surrounding temperature has dropped, but that I'm afraid.

Immediately afterwards, the thing that frightened me the most happened——

As the child got closer, his body gradually shrank, from a three- or four-year-old child to a crawling baby, and finally turned into a luminous bead that flew into my belly...

"Ahhhh--" I let out a scream, and then lost consciousness again...

When I opened my eyes again, what I saw was a white ceiling.

I sat up suddenly and looked around. This was the school's infirmary.

It was getting dark outside the window, and I slept for at least five hours.

The school doctor is not here, and neither is Han Jiuchen.

So... was I dreaming just now?

Where is Han Jiuchen? Did he send me here?

The door of the infirmary was pushed open from the outside.

"Are you awake?" came a rather familiar voice.

I looked over and saw Senior Brother Zhong walking in with takeaway food.

Senior Brother Zhong's full name is Zhong Jingyuan. He is currently in the first year of graduate school. He has long legs and good looks. It is said that his family background is quite prosperous.

When he was a sophomore, he started a supernatural club at school and became the honorary president after he was promoted to graduate school.

He and I had no contact at all. Two months ago, their supernatural club signed a cooperation agreement with a live broadcast platform and needed something to decorate the live broadcast room.

He didn't know where he knew that I often took over the work of Gu Ting's family, so he asked me to help him get some equipment, and he got to know me after going back and forth.

I don't know what's wrong with him. Within a few days of knowing him, he started chasing me.

I know how much I weigh, and I don't think this sudden show of kindness could be true love at all.

Maybe he was just making a bet with his friends and classmates? Isn’t this often written in some novels?

So I never responded to him.

"Um...Senior Brother Zhong, did you send me here?" I asked

"Well, you witnessed He Jin committing suicide and fainting in the Fourth Religion." Zhong Jingyuan said, handing me the takeout box, "I guess you haven't eaten yet, so I bought you porridge."

"Thank you, I can't eat it now." I refused his kindness.

Firstly, I don’t want to have more to do with him, and secondly, I really have no appetite.

"Senior Brother Zhong, have you seen my friend? He went downstairs with the Fourth Teaching with me." I asked.

Not seeing Han Jiuchen made me feel a little uneasy.

"Which friend?" Zhong Jingyuan looked a little confused, "I was behind you when you fell, and I didn't see anyone around you."

No one?! My heart trembled uncontrollably.

What's going on? Did Han Jiuchen use some means to prevent others from seeing him?

So could he be in this room?

Thinking of this, I subconsciously looked around.

"Qing Zheng, actually I came to see you specifically today. I want to ask you for help with something."

"Huh?" My mind was still on Han Jiuchen, so I responded casually.

"You should have heard that our Supernatural Club has cooperated with Kuaiyin Platform," Zhong Jingyuan said. "Recently we have produced a supernatural live broadcast program dedicated to exploring haunted places. We are still short of a female host. Are you interested?

"

"Ah?" I was stunned for a moment and didn't quite hear what he said. "Sorry, I was distracted just now."

"It's okay," Zhong Jingyuan smiled and said what he just said again.

"I heard that your internship unit hasn't been decided yet?" Zhong Jingyuan extended an olive branch to me, "Come to our show, I can help you find it."

"Why...why did you come to me?" After what happened to Gu Ting, I became wary of other people.

"You often take over work from your best friend's house, so you must be quite courageous." Zhong Jingyuan smiled, "Besides... the one who is near the water first gets the moon first."

"I'm actually quite afraid of ghosts...haha." I laughed twice, feeling a little embarrassed.

I really haven't finalized the internship yet.

If it were before signing the soul contract, I might have agreed without hesitation, but now...

I didn't know what to do if I went to a haunted place. If I provoked something again, I might get in trouble with other people on the show.

Zhong Jingyuan saw that I was hesitant and said, "Don't worry, the program is just for some effect."

"Ah? It's fake!"

"Of course, where in the world does this ghost come from?" Zhong Jingyuan said with a smile.

I secretly muttered in my heart: That’s because you haven’t encountered it yet.

"Senior Brother Zhong, can you give me some time to think about it?"

Although it is false, I am still not completely reassured. I want to discuss it with Han Jiuchen or Su Xiao.

"Of course, I need you to appear on camera after all." Zhong Jingyuan thought I didn't want to show my face, "How about three days?"

"Okay, I'll give you an answer in three days."

There is nothing wrong with my body. After our chat, I plan to leave the infirmary.

"Qing Zheng, wait a minute," Zhong Jingyuan called me, took his chin and tapped the medicine bag on the bedside table, "The school doctor has prescribed some calming medicine for you."

He handed me a glass of water and said, "Calculate the time. If you take some now, it will be effective when you fall asleep at night."

I saw that the paper on which the medicine was packaged was indeed from the infirmary.

I opened it and took a look. It was small black particles similar to Gardenia Golden Flower Pills.

Thinking of the doll I dreamed about earlier, I felt that I really needed to take some soothing medicine.

I followed the doctor's instructions, poured half of it into my mouth, took the boiled water from Zhong Jingyuan and drank it.

"Thank you, senior brother," I thanked you again, "Then... I'll go first, bye."

"be careful on the road."

When we came out of the infirmary, it was already getting late.

I returned to the Fourth Religion, retrieved my car, and drove back to Yu'an Huating.

On the way, I was about to call Han Jiuchen when his call came in.

I asked him why he ran away suddenly today, but he didn't answer. He just said we would talk about it when we meet.

His voice sounded extremely tired, and I didn't dare to say anything while driving, so I hung up the phone after a few words.

About half an hour later, I returned to Yu'an Huating.

The door was open, and the heavy curtains in the living room were drawn tightly.

I walked inside and called Han Jiuchen's name in a low voice, but no one responded to me.

I walked around the sofa and saw Han Jiuchen lying on the ground unconscious.

I was shocked, rushed to his side, summoned up all my strength to lift him up and put him on my lap.

"Han Jiuchen! Wake up!" I slapped his face, hoping to wake him up.

But his eyes were closed tightly, showing no sign of waking up.

I was so anxious that I even forgot that I had tried every means to escape from him not long ago.

Now I'm afraid that he won't wake up, and I feel extremely uncomfortable.

What happened while I was in coma?

"Bang——"

There was a sound of the door closing behind me.

The sudden sound made me shiver, and I subconsciously straightened my neck and looked towards the door.

Han Jiuchen was dressed in white and stood behind the door in the form of a soul.

Is this...the soul leaving the body?

I remembered that when he was in Guhun Dao, his spirit and body were also separated.

"Come here." He said weakly.

I put down his body, stood up and walked towards him.

When I got closer to him, I realized that he was completely different from his normal appearance. At this moment, his face was blue, his eyes were red, and he looked like a scary ghost.

I had never seen him like this before. I was so frightened that I almost fainted and unconsciously wanted to step back.

He didn't give me a chance.

He grabbed my wrist, pulled me into his arms, and kissed me on the mouth.

"Well--"

I was horrified to find that this was not a kiss, he...he was sucking my manhood!

This feeling was different from any time he sucked my Yang Qi. Instead, it was like the feeling when the female ghost in my house sucked my Yang Qi on the night of the soul contract.

I immediately felt a chill running down my spine. I was so scared that I immediately wanted to push him away.

But before my hands touched him, he shook me off and said angrily: "What did you eat?"

His force was so strong that he threw me to the ground. If it weren't for the sofa blocking me, I wouldn't have known where I would have been thrown.

My head hit the sofa, feeling painful and confused. Before I could digest the meaning of his words, he rushed over like a gust of wind, reached out and clasped my neck, his face was so gloomy that I could squeeze out water.

"What did you eat?" he asked again.
