Chapter 109: Dragon Fishing

Green mountains surround green water, white waves pour from the sky like waterfalls, and huge roars can be heard in the distance.

An artificial embankment made of reinforced concrete stretches across the end of the Yangtze River, like a majestic city gate of an ancient frontier fortress. It starts from Baidi City in the west and ends at Nanjinguan Pass in the east.

This is a water conservancy project that is unimaginable in the world. The 200-million-ton dam blocks the torrent rushing upstream like a natural chasm. It can only open the gate to release water at the appropriate time, and nothing can force its way through.

On a bright sunny day, the sun spreads its light to the earth, and there are winding shadows swimming under the vast green water.

A row of green bamboo rafts were swaying towards this side, with only three people sitting on the boat.

An old man, a middle-aged man, and a young girl.

The three of them are all dressed in ancient costumes. The men wear long robes with wide sleeves and have an aloof demeanor. The old man even wears a square scarf on his head, just like an elegant scholar who has retired from the world.

The girl wears a sleeveless shirt and skirt, with a long shawl draped over her shoulders, and various patterns drawn with gold and silver powder. She looks classical and beautiful.

A middle-aged man stood at the stern of the boat, holding a bamboo pole in his hand. He just touched it gently in the water, and the blue waves made circles, and the bamboo raft floated a few meters towards the center of the lake like an arrow from the string.

The old man sat in the middle of the bamboo raft, playing the simple seven-stringed guqin alone.

Integrate the sounds of nature.

The girl squatted on the bow of the boat, carefully fanning the fire in the charcoal stove with a cattail leaf fan, and the fragrance of tea came out. She was making tea.

In this peaceful, long-lasting and vast world, everything becomes so harmonious and approachable.

"It would be great if Xiaoyuan is here this year. He is always restless. Maybe he can catch a few carp!"

The bright-colored girl in a gauze dress stood up and stretched out her bare hands to wipe the sweat from her forehead.

"Girl Fuling, don't mention that bastard. If he were to be here, he would have to burn my bamboo rafts and use them to grill fish. Just a few years ago, this kid broke a snuff bottle when he went to my place. That was in the Qing Dynasty.

Treasures from the palace."

The man holding the bamboo raft behind him immediately laughed heartily when he heard it.

"Hmph! You're still the head of the Zhou family, you're stingy."

The classically beautiful girl supported her waist and defended her younger brother.

"Haha, little girl Fuling, if I just mention it in front of you, do you think I'm being stingy?"

The middle-aged man laughed and asked again. It was hard to imagine that Zhou Gu, the serious and upright chairman of Yunchen Company in the outside world, was acting like a village man in the mountains at this moment.

"If you keep making noise, you will scare away my fish."

The old man held down the wooden guqin with both hands and spoke with a smile.

"Uncle, you didn't even put down the fishing line, how could the fish come?"

Li Fuling looked at Li Chengqian, who was dressed as an old Confucian scholar in a kerchief, and looked curiously.

Zhou Gu's face suddenly darkened, and he immediately shouted to stop the girl.

"Poria girl, you are talking nonsense."

The girl wisely stopped talking, but her big eyes as bright as a clear stream were still looking at the old man curiously.

"No fish dares to approach the emperor, long live the king only fishes for dragons."

Li Chengqian, who was sitting on his knees next to him, did not answer, but slowly slapped his thighs with his palms and recited two lines of poetry by Xie Jin, the most talented man in the Ming Dynasty, to please Zhu Yuanzhang.

"Long live the king only fishes for dragons, well written, well written."

The old man thought about this poem carefully. It was originally a poem about Xie Jin who had a great harvest when he was competing with Zhu Yuanzhang in a fishing competition. He was afraid that Zhu Yuanzhang would be angry after losing the game, so he had an idea. Now it seems to have a different meaning.

"Zhou Gu, look over there."

Li Chengqian pondered for a moment, then pointed his finger in one direction. Across the mountain ranges, one could vaguely see the hint of vermilion and bright yellow hidden in the lush greenery.

This city is called Baidi.

"good."

After receiving the order, the man simply rolled up the sleeves of his long shirt, and using only a long green pole, he easily changed direction and went down the green water.

A deep water flows out of the steep peaks on both sides. When you are in it, you only feel the majesty of the world and the insignificance of yourself.

At the entrance of Qutang Gorge, there is Chijia Mountain to the north of the river, and the north of the river is called Baiyan Mountain. Du Fu wrote a poem about the majesty of these two mountains, which is "the red armor and white salt both pierce the sky, and the mountains are connected to the top of the mountain."

The Chibai Mountains stand across the river. They are as strong as a gate, so they are named Kuimen. Since ancient times, Kuimen has been an important pass into Shu in ancient times. It is a battleground for military strategists and can be called the hero of the world.

Every time in troubled times, separatist forces would occupy Kuimen, and from then on they would seal Shu as a land of self-sufficiency. When Gongsun Shu started his career in the Western Han Dynasty, controlling Kuimen was a crucial step.

A row of bamboo rafts is floating in this magnificent mountain and river. It does not have the defense of a steel ferry, nor the comfort of a luxury yacht, but it surprisingly fits the scenery here.

There are a few more dynamic people in the static landscape painting, which makes it more poetic and painterly.

The old man wearing a square scarf continued to sit on the bamboo raft and play the guqin, and the boat passed through the mountains and rivers on both sides of the bank. The girl squatted down and carefully fanned the charcoal fire in the vermilion pottery stove.

I don't know how long it took, and I don't know where they were in Kuimen. The blue waves in front of them began to overturn, and there were faint rocks on both sides of the bank shaking and rolling down, splashing snow-white water.

They seemed to be in an unspeakable crisis.

"Uncle, is this what you are looking for?"

Li Fuling stood up and looked at the vast green lake with floating algae and aquatic plants in the distance. She was the first to ask, somewhat uncomfortably.

"Master, it seems like a big guy is here."

The middle-aged man who had been laughing suddenly became serious. He just twisted his hands on the emerald green bamboo pole, and the crisp crackling sound of the bamboo joints came out, and the bamboo pieces exploded and scattered like falling flowers and butterflies.

Then it floated on the lake, revealing a red cherry silver gun inside, with a slight cold glow from the gun blade.

His temperament also instantly changed from a simple and honest mountain villager to an ancient general who had experienced hundreds of battles, with a resolute face.

"Today, I will take you to meet the dragon."

The old man spoke with a slight smile, without showing any panic, as if he had expected it.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! The invisible majesty forced the fish, shrimps, turtles and other creatures at the bottom of the lake to flee in panic. It seems that what Xie Jin said makes sense.

Under such a ferocious dragon's power, no fish can get close at all, let alone catch it ashore?

I don’t know how long it took, but the fish and shrimps had long since disappeared under the Kuimen Lake where Li Chengqian and his party were, and everything fell into deathly silence in this atmosphere.

As a mixed race, Li Fuling had already noticed that the pure-blood dragon was approaching. It was a huge beast that frightened even an A-level bloodline like her.

Slender black shadows began to move in the green water, and the eyelids opened and closed to reveal huge golden pupils, revealing a cold, violent and ferocious look.

"over there!"

The girl stood on the bow of the boat and took the lead in shouting something. Zhou Gu looked over after hearing the words.

A dark back began to surface, with sharp barbs as jagged as rocks, and a huge long tail swinging rapidly, generating a huge kinetic energy no less than that of a turbine engine.

The ferocious mouth is half floating on the water, revealing yellow and sharp teeth that are one meter long. They contain violent corrosive neurotoxins, which are absolutely fatal.

Golden eyes like copper bells stared at them motionless, bloodthirsty and cold, as if they could swallow this group of people whole as long as they showed the slightest sign of abnormality.

"Good guy, is this Dragon King Norton?"

Zhou Gu looked at this behemoth, which was fifteen meters long and fifty tons in weight, and asked in surprise.

But anyone can hear the relaxation in his tone.

“You’ll know if you try it yourself.”

Li Chengqian didn't intend to tell him the answer.

Zhou Gu smiled when he heard this, and then struck the bamboo raft with his silver spear, and a single piece of green bamboo separated from the raft body and floated out.

The man's toes rested a little on the bamboo raft, and then he landed firmly on the green bamboo, floating down the river, heading straight towards the dark and slender dragon shadow.

If foreigners saw this Qinggong, they would probably exclaim that it is impossible, absolutely impossible.

Li Fuling looked at the figure walking away with a spear, worry in his eyes.

"Uncle, can Uncle Zhou beat that big guy?"

"Of course, it can't be."

The old man calmly sat on the boat playing the piano and smiled softly.

"ah?"

Li Fuling thought she heard wrongly. Why go ahead if you can't win? You should seize the opportunity and run away.

"Girl, make some tea."

Li Chengqian continued to give instructions.

The girl had no choice but to suppress the doubts in her mind and stare at the scene ahead while fanning the stove.

The man wearing a light gray robe is holding a red cherry silver gun in his right hand, revealing half of his bronze and powerful wrist, with smooth and distinct muscle curves. He is obviously a good man.

This gun should also have a name, called Plum Blossom Snow.

The monster half hidden under the water stared at the visitor, the furious look in its golden eyes getting stronger and stronger.

Finally, it raised its head and let out a long roar, revealing half of its slender, ferocious and bony black body. Its giant tail swung at high speed like a propeller, and its two long yellow tusks slashed at the man like a machete.

The battle started with this dragon roar.

The man standing firmly on a piece of green bamboo swung the spear in his hand, with the tip of the spear making an arc and touching his fangs.

The majestic and surging impact immediately knocked the man standing on the green bamboo away, but his posture was still elegant when he fell.

"Haha, so happy!"

After experiencing this, the man initially estimated the power of this monster. He swiped his spear on the water surface and took advantage of the momentum to rush forward again. The golden pupils in his eyes began to shine brightly.

The Yanling·Gonggong field unfolds, and the surrounding waters can be controlled by the releaser to a certain extent. In the same way, one can walk on water or avoid water and dive.

This is the authority that belongs to the king of the ocean and water. It is named after the water god Gonggong in ancient mythology. It is the best magic medium to control and manipulate the water element.

Four clear water-shaped dragons rose from the turquoise lake, with transparent and pure water flowing in their ten-meter-long bodies. They opened their majestic dragon heads and bit into the dark and slender monster in the center.

The man had already jumped into the air, gripped the silver spear in his hand like a javelin, integrated his momentum and the tip of the spear into one, and headed straight for the "dragon".

The monster swung its long tail violently, opened its upper jaw and rushed towards the dragon formed by the lake water. The strong bite force caused the mighty dragon to be scattered again in an instant, splashing large waves and then rejoined the lake.

.

But the huge impact brought by the four water dragons still existed, which made the dark dragon-shaped monster feel a little dazed.

The man in mid-air was in the best position to throw the spear, with its body as white as snow and its cherry blossoms as red as plum blossoms.

All the muscles and arms in his body were tense at this moment. This was already like a strike from a god. It was beyond the scope of human strength.

As fast as a stream of light, the sharp edges gathered at the tip of the gun continued to tear the air around him, and even the harsh sonic boom could not catch up with the speed of the gun body.

This is also an alchemical weapon that is tough enough and once killed a resurrected dragon species.

It is equivalent to a grand duke-level existence in the human world.

But it's a pity that the monster on the opposite side reacted very quickly. It immediately opened its ferocious mouth and slammed its withered yellow sharp teeth and the spear into one place.

"Ding!"

A small buzzing sound slowly spread from its mouth, and the momentum of this shot even caused ripples in the water around the monster.

Mei Huaxue spun in the air and flew back. Zhou Gu stretched out his hand, grabbed the fallen spear, turned around and ran away.

"Can't beat it, can't beat it."

The man returned from treading water and kept shouting, as if he had won the battle.

The girl who was fanning the cattail fan immediately stood up and looked at the black spine-shaped creature swimming quickly in front of her, her pupils began to flow with gold.

It opens its mouth at this moment, and its fine, yellow fangs can dig through rocks and coral reefs, and can devour all living creatures within the Yangtze River.

It is the overlord of this Kuimen realm, a creature at the top of the ecological chain.

But now, it has been provoked by a mere human being, and cracks have begun to spread on its proud teeth.

Therefore, it has become furious and wants to tear the humble reptiles in front of it into pieces and chew them into its belly with the bones and blood.

"Back off."

The old man plucked the strings slightly and scolded.

His voice was not loud, but it was very penetrating and echoed in the waters.

The pitch-black monster, covered with fine scales, covered with bone spurs, and with huge golden eyes, actually stopped its rapid forward movement and looked at the tiny insect in front of it in amazement.

"Oseiurusius..."

The old man spit out strange, ancient, majestic and solemn dragon language one after another. This is the pure dragon language of the era when the Black King and the White King were both in power, and it is the most ancient and sacred.

The monster that has lived by the Kuimen River for thousands of years could not help but lower its ferocious head, and its figure was half submerged in the water. Its golden eyes revealed the submission and worship of a weakling.

It is willing to accept the proposal of the old man in front of it and choose to negotiate.

Many dragon slayers believe that dragons are cunning, greedy, violent, powerful, and proud guys. This is indeed their character trait.

But they are also open to negotiation, provided they see enough bargaining chips.

Li Chengqian continued to sit on the bamboo raft and continued to speak dragon language. The giant creature opposite also opened its mouth and roared in response.

One person and one dragon started talking at the boundary of Kuimen between two mountains and one river.

Li Fuling delivered boiled tea to the old man, which was originally prepared to quench his thirst during negotiations.

It wasn't until the sunlight had shifted for three moments that Li Chengqian waved his hand, and the dark and slender monster dived back into the water and disappeared without a trace.

"Uncle, what did you talk about?"

The girl asked curiously next to her.

"nothing."

The old man waved his hands without revealing his words.

Li Fuling had no choice but to give up.

"By the way, uncle, isn't our Li's orthodoxy a dragon-slaying organization? That big guy just now is completely on the must-kill list!"

The girl seemed to suddenly remember this matter.

"Who told you that Orthodoxy is just a dragon-slaying organization? We exist because of more important things."

The old man took a sip of tea with a smile, looking increasingly enigmatic.

"Zhou Gu, return."

Li Chengqian waved gently, and the man responded.

Immediately, a spear was inserted into the bamboo raft to make a mast, but no movement was seen from him. The current around him easily pushed the bamboo raft forward in the specified direction.
