025 two thousand

It was almost noon, and the smell of vegetables was everywhere on the street.

The merchants in Xiao Panjiayuan put the wok at the entrance of the store and just stir-fried. The aroma was fragrant and a little more smokey than the last time I came here.

There were inevitably people soliciting money along the way, but Li Manjun refused. Many sharp-eyed people noticed her walking towards Wanjia Pawnshop and followed her quietly.

The merchants who buy things on this street may sell a lot of fake goods to deceive people, but their eyes are very sharp. The material of Li Manjun's denim backpack is very thin, and you can vaguely see the outline of the items inside.

That's not like an ordinary daily necessities.

Many dealers in that business also come to them to trade or sell the genuine goods they have.

Li Manjun was walking when he suddenly found someone touching his backpack. He was suddenly startled and turned around to stare, "What are you doing!"

Last time, Zhao Yong, an adult man, was with her, and no one dared to touch her along the way.

Looking at the tall and thin man in front of him, as well as several men standing on the street, smiling maliciously, Li Manjun once again realized deeply that this was not 2022, thirty years later, when social security was excellent.

Moreover, she didn't even have a mobile phone, let alone call the police immediately.

The tall and thin man did not leave even after being scolded by her, but stood aside and looked at her. Li Manjun glanced at him coldly, put his backpack in front of him, and walked quickly towards Wanjia Pawnshop.

Seeing her like this, those people seemed to be sure of something and followed her not far away.

Li Manjun could only be on guard, as there was nothing he could do against them for the time being.

Wan Rongming was still wearing a white old man's shirt, sitting lazily in the store with a cattail leaf fan, and reading a newspaper in his other hand.

"Boss!" Li Manjun almost rushed in. Wan Rongming was startled by her. Robbery?

I hurriedly looked outside and saw that it was a strange girl, and I was relieved.

But then he spotted the men standing outside the store, glanced at Li Manjun's pretending to be calm, and became convinced.

"What are you guys doing sneaking around!" Wan Rongming stood up, held a cattail leaf fan and came outside the store. When he saw the tall and thin man, he couldn't help but frown, "Why are you guys here again!"

"What are you doing? Want to rob? There is a police box on the street in broad daylight. How dare you try!"

The tall and thin man was laughing and joking, as if he was very familiar with Wan Rongming, "Uncle Wan, what are you talking about? We are all good people. Don't wrongly accuse good people."

Wan Rongming got annoyed when he saw what he was talking about, so he waved his cattail leaf fan to chase people away, "Guanggungu, how dare you try to grab one of the customers who came into my shop?!"

"Hey, Uncle Wan, why are you beating people? We didn't do anything..."

"Get out!" Wan Rongming roared angrily, and the people immediately dispersed, looking back three times and looking into the store to see Li Manjun.

Unfortunately, he was hiding in the store and could not be seen.

Li Manjun listened to the commotion outside and then rushed back to Wan Rongming, who smiled gratefully and said, "Uncle Wan, thank you."

Wan Rongming raised his eyebrows, "Have I seen you before?"

As he asked, without waiting for an answer, Li Manjun suddenly slapped the cattail leaf fan and suddenly realized, "I remember, you were here with a tall guy two days ago, right?"

"Why didn't you ask him to come with you today? This place is in chaos. You, a little girl, just got lucky and ran into my store. If you change the place, you won't be able to leave smoothly today, and you will have to take away all the money you have.

Leave them all behind before leaving."

Forced buying and selling are the specialty of those merchants, who specialize in picking weak victims, and single girls are the targets of their ruthless slaughter.

Li Manjun also felt that she had been careless today. The thinking she had developed in the past had such a profound impact that she had forgotten what her country was like thirty years ago.

Seeing her annoyed look, Wan Rongming thought that the young man was still too naive, so he walked to the door and lowered the rolling shutter.

As soon as the light in the room dimmed, Li Manjun's heart went off. She couldn't have such bad eyesight. She must have made a mistake!

Is this the real wolf's den?

Wan Rongming closed the store door, walked to the wall and turned on the light switch. The room suddenly lit up, and Li Manjun saw Wan Rongming's sneering look.

"You're so brave? Then I feel like my business today is going to go south."

"Bring it here." He pointed to the small dining table by the wall, motioned for her to put the things on it, turned around and walked indoors, getting a magnifying glass.

Li Manjun was surprised that what he thought was a disguise was so insignificant in front of professionals.

"I'm not sure, but I checked and found that the temple over there did exist a long time ago."

Li Manjun took the vaccination first and then took out the ball wrapped in a torn sheet from his backpack.

Wan Rongming clicked his tongue, not sure whether it was disgust or something else. He waited until Li Manjun took out the bowl completely before he touched it.

I don't know where the thin rubber glove appeared from, I put it on my left hand, and holding a magnifying glass in my right hand, I picked up the black iron bowl and looked at it.

Sometimes he frowned, sometimes raised his eyebrows, and occasionally sighed. Li Manjun stood aside, his heart racing.

If this bowl was just a big iron bowl, she would have no choice but to try her luck at the bank.

As for borrowing money from Zhao Yong, who might have some savings, Li Manjun never even thought about it.

Wan Rongming watched for ten full minutes, and Li Manjun didn't dare to ask, for fear of losing his momentum first. Although, maybe, maybe the other party didn't care about this at all.

"It's a real object." Wan Rongming put the bowl down gently with satisfaction and turned to look at Li Manjun, smiling like an old fox. "But it's not a rare object. If you want to sell it, I can take it."

"If you want to consider it, please give me twenty yuan for the appraisal fee."

There was no hesitation, and even the ecstasy lasted less than half a second. Li Manjun immediately said: "Sell!"

"It seems you are short of money." He asked tentatively: "Do you have other goods waiting to be turned over?"

Li Manjun didn't answer, but asked him how much he would pay.

As expected, Wan Rongming lived up to what he said before, and compared himself to Li Manjun.

"Twenty thousand?" Li Manjun asked boldly. Wan Rongming's hand holding the magnifying glass shook violently, "What are you thinking! Two thousand!"

Li Manjun was really afraid that he would say two hundred, but when he heard it was two thousand, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Sell it." The other party was sincere and she didn't raise the price.

I really don't know how to mention it because it's like a mountain across the street. It would be bad if I offend someone.

She even pointed out that she would do the next business with him.

"Cash?" Wan Rongming asked.

Li Manjun nodded. She didn't even have her own bankbook yet. She would have to apply for one soon. She had brought her ID card.

Wan Rongming looked at her deeply, then turned around and went behind the high counter. After a while, he came out with a small wad of cash.

They were all neat and brand-new blue bills with serial numbers. They seemed to have the smell of a bank's money counting machine, freshly baked.
