Chapter 204: Seeing Off

Jijiu looked at Abbot Jueming in front of the Buddhist temple with a puzzled expression. Could it be that there is really some treasure that the thief is interested in?

"Young master... you go to the hall behind the poor monk. There is a scripture next to the incense burner. You can get it." Abbot Jueming said with tears on his face.

Jijiu nodded, raised his foot and stomped on the fat man's left calf. There was a click, and the fat man howled like a pig.

The purpose of quitting drinking is to prevent the fat man from escaping. Although he can't run very far, he can just stomp if he wants to. It's that simple.

Bypassing Abbot Jueming, he quit drinking and walked into the dark Buddhist temple. With his current ninth-level extraordinary strength, he could see clearly even in the darkest place.

Walking to the Buddha statue, it is a very simple Buddha statue, just painted with a layer of gold powder.

There was a large copper incense burner on the table in front of the Buddha statue. Next to the incense burner was a pile of Buddhist scriptures. Jiji picked up the Buddhist scriptures and walked out of the hall.

"Where are you going?" Qingjiu walked out of the hall and saw the fat man dragging his useless leg outside the temple.

The fat man paused, looked back at Jijiu and swallowed subconsciously.

"Abbott, the scriptures are here." Jijiu placed the scriptures in Abbot Jueming's arms.

Abbot Jueming tapped the scriptures with his bare wrist and said: "Since the establishment of Guangyuan Temple, the temple members have been diligent and dedicated to the Buddha and practiced Buddhism. They have never broken the Eight Precepts. The poor monks have even converted to Buddhism.

For more than ten years, I never thought that such a disaster would happen in this year."

"What's even more ridiculous is that this disaster actually came from my mouth. Look at this Buddhist treasure. Buddhist treasures can be exchanged for money!!!"

Abbot Jueming trembled and roared.

"You are lying! How can the treasure we have been searching for for a year be this scripture!" The fat man also roared.

"To you, these scriptures are worthless, but to Buddhism, these scriptures are worth! Even! City! Priceless! Treasure!"

Abbot Jueming roared with a ferocious face, his eyes widened.

"Impossible! Impossible! Impossible!" The fat man slowly fell to the ground while supporting Buddha.

"What's impossible? In such a small temple, how many times have you looked up and down? If there were treasures, wouldn't you have found them long ago?" Abbot Jueming said with a sigh.

The people who stopped drinking and stood aside were filled with emotion. So many people died just because someone said something about treasure. I don’t know whether I should say that these people have ridiculous ideas, or should I say that Guangyuan Temple deserves this disaster?

"Little Master, I haven't asked for your Dharma name yet?" Abbot Xingxing calmed down and turned to look at Jijiu and asked.

"Master gave me the Dharma title to give me the title of Jijiu." Jijiu said respectfully.

"Quit drinking? It seems you really love drinking... Do you have any alcohol on you?" Abbot Jueming suddenly asked.

Jijiu nodded and took out the wine gourd. Just as he was about to hand it to Abbot Jueming, he remembered that he had no hands.

"Just open it and let me have a taste." Abbot Jueming said with a smile and shook his head.

Qingjiu was startled, but he didn't say much. He opened the stopper of the gourd and a smell of wine wafted out.

"Although I have never drunk wine, I know this must be good wine." Abbot Jueming sniffed and said.

"Abbott, would you like a sip?" Jijiu asked.

Abbot Jueming nodded, then raised his head and opened his mouth.

Jijiu slowly poured some into his mouth.

Abbot Jueming swallowed the wine in his mouth and endured the spicy stimulation brought by the wine.

"So this is what the wine tastes like," Abbot Jueming said.

"Would you like another bite?" Qingjiu asked.

Abbot Jueming smiled and shook his head and said: "This sip has already broken the precepts. Just taste the wine."

Jijiu pressed the gourd stopper back after hearing this, and then he looked at the courtyard. Except for the fat man who was leaning on the door and was leaning on the door, everyone else was still unconscious.

"Quit drinking... I have one more thing to ask of you, this poor monk." Abbot Jueming suddenly said.

"Please tell me!" Zhijiu bowed and said.

"These scriptures are the long-lost treasures of Buddhism. Some people once said that there are peerless Buddhist teachings hidden in them. The poor monk does not know martial arts, but it is said that if you learn the Buddhist teachings in them, you can go straight to the Mahayana. You are destined to them. The poor monk will now hand them over to you.

You." Abbot Jueming said, tapping the scripture in his arms.

Jijiu carefully picked up the Buddhist scriptures. The scriptures that were so light just now felt heavy in his hands.

"You have a lot of cultivation and a big mind. If I leave this sutra to you, this poor monk will feel at ease."

Jijiu nodded, walked directly opposite Abbot Jueming, held the scripture in both hands and bowed respectfully to him.

"Quit drinking. Don't bother me with this poor monk. I have one last thing to ask for." Abbot Jueming said after bowing to the monk in an upright manner.

"Abbott, please speak!" Jijiu said as he put the scriptures away.

"I don't know how far you can go, but I hope you can give me a ride."

"Where are you going?" Qingjiu asked.

"Naturally go to Western Paradise and ask the Buddha how the poor monk is doing during this calamity!"

"What! Are you going to..." Qingjiu exclaimed.

"The poor monk is already a cripple. The bones of his disciples are in the backyard, and these beasts are also in front of me. I built this temple with my own hands. Now that you are leaving with me, your revenge has been avenged, and you have no regrets..." Jueming

The abbot said relievedly.

"Don't be mentally burdened, you are just helping a poor monk." Seeing the embarrassment on Ji Qing's face, Abbot Jueming said with a smile.

Jijiu looked at Abbot Jueming who looked calm, hesitated for a moment and nodded.

"I have thanked you, poor monk." Abbot Jueming bowed his head slightly and said thanks.

Jijiu turned around and looked at the fat man at the door. At this time, the fat man had come to his senses and was looking at him with a horrified look on his face.

"Don't kill me! Don't kill me!" The fat man begged bitterly.

But how could quitting drinking give him a chance? He jumped directly in front of him, grabbed and flicked the fat man with one hand, and threw the fat man into the courtyard.

"Jiejiu sends my regards to Abbot Jueming!" Jijiu saluted Abbot Jueming, who was sitting cross-legged at the door of the hall with his hands clasped together.

After a long time, he jumped straight into the sky.

Then the loud sound of the Dharma trumpet sounded, and the six-character mantra resounded throughout the heaven and earth, followed by the huge swastika and the image of the suffering-saving Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva standing on a huge lotus.

Seeing the huge Dharma image reaching into the sky, Abbot Jueming's eyes turned red unconsciously.

"Amitabha..." Abbot Jueming whispered the Buddha's name and then calmly closed his eyes.

"Quit drinking to see me off!" As the voice of quitting drinking fell, a huge jade purification bottle fell from the sky.

"No...!!!" The fat man shouted in horror, but this did not change anything. The bottom of the Jade Purifying Vase continued to enlarge in his eyes.

"Boom!"

After an explosion, the jade bottle fell to the ground, and the ground shook.

Jijiu was in the air, looking at the jade purification bottle below, and his heart couldn't calm down for a long time.

"Have a nice trip, Abbot Jueming..." Jiejiu whispered and waved his hand to disperse all the images.

Guangyuan Temple has disappeared, along with it the hillside below the temple.
