Chapter Thirty-ninth: College Visit

When he returned to his residence, Dorian went straight into the kitchen to cook. There were too many people testing today. They just wasted a whole day there and were already starving.

In the pavilion, the two of them drank wine and ate meat, enjoying themselves very much.

"Quit drinking. Now you are in the spotlight. The entire imperial capital will know that there is a genius like you." Daolin picked up the wine gourd and took a sip of wine.

"I already knew this was going to happen, so I didn't take it seriously. As I said before, I'll go wherever you go." Jingjiu picked up a piece of charcoal-grilled ribs and stuffed it into his mouth.

"Dang, Dang, Dang!" A knock on the door suddenly sounded, and the two men stopped moving at the same time.

"I guess I'm here to find you," Dorian said with a smile.

Jijiu nodded and seemed unwilling to pay attention.

"Dang, Dang, Dang!" The knocking on the door continued.

Dolin looked at Jijiu, and Jijiu nodded helplessly. Dolin smiled and stood up to open the door.

The courtyard door opened, and there were three people standing outside. The one who knocked on the door was today's host, and the other two were old men with white hair.

"Excuse me, does the little alcoholic master live here?" the host asked politely.

Dolin nodded, stepped aside and motioned for the three of them to come in.

"This courtyard is really nice and unique." After the three of them came in, they saw Jijiu drinking and eating meat in the pavilion. They were startled. However, the host was clever and quickly praised Daolin and his family's small courtyard.

"Sit down, you three. Have you eaten? Do you want to have some too?" Daolin asked as he led the three of them into the pavilion.

"Don't bother, we've already eaten." The host replied politely, looking at Dowling with a meaningful look.

Daolin smiled and shook his head. He said that he still wanted to practice and then turned around and returned to the room. There were only three "guests" left in the pavilion and Jijiu, who ignored them.

"This is Duanmu Jinglong, the dean of the Imperial Capital Shenwu Academy, and this is the vice dean Dao Qingyun. My name is Song Haotian, and I am the deacon of the academy." After seeing Daolin leave, the three of them sat down, and the host took the lead in introducing them.

"Oh, what are you doing here?" Qingjiu stuffed a piece of ribs into his mouth and mumbled.

"Let me tell you, I heard from Haotian that you went to take the entrance test today. I am very interested in your cultivation strength and have come to invite you to join our Imperial Capital Divine Martial Academy." Dean Duanmu Jinglong said.

"I said, I want to accompany my friend. I will go wherever he goes." Qingjiu replied, spitting out the clean bones on the table.

"That one just now?" Duanmu Jinglong asked, pointing to the room on the second floor.

Jijiu nodded and said nothing.

"What's his name?" Duanmu Jinglong looked at Song Haotian and asked.

"It seems to be called Daolin." Song Haotian recalled it and said.

"Daolin?" Duanmu Jinglong looked at Dao Qingyun aside.

Dao Qingyun also frowned when he heard this. He began to recall in his mind whether any of his descendants were named Daolin. After all, there were too few people named Dao.

"There is no such person in our family." After a long time, Dao Qingyun spoke.

Duanmu Jinglong nodded, looked at Jijiu again and asked: "May I ask where the young master learned from?"

"It's a small temple, the master is an old monk." Jijiu picked up the wine gourd and took a sip and replied.

Duanmu Jinglong frowned. To be honest, he was very dissatisfied with Qian Ji's current attitude. After all, he was the head of the hospital, with a very high status and status. Now that he came to the door in person, the other party was so cold and indifferent.

.

"Then are you willing to join our college?" Duanmu Jinglong calmed down and asked.

"Thank you for the invitation. I still say the same thing, I will go wherever my friends go." Jingjiu put down his chopsticks and replied solemnly.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the pavilion was a little awkward. The four people looked at each other and they didn't know how to speak.

Just when the atmosphere was getting colder, the door to the second floor opened. Dolin leaned on the railing and said, "It's getting late. Isn't there a second test tomorrow? You should stop drinking and rest early."

After quitting drinking, he stood up, clasped his hands in front of the three 'guests', and recited a Buddha's name.

Seeing that the host's family had issued an eviction order, the three of them stood up and walked out of the pavilion helplessly.

"Then we won't disturb you and say goodbye." After Duanmu Jinglong said that, he turned and walked towards the courtyard door. Song Haotian followed him with an awkward smile.

Only Dao Qingyun did not move, his eyes were always looking at Daolin on the second floor.

"Who are you, Dao Wuji?" Dao Qingyun said in a calm tone.

"He is my father, who are you?" Daolin replied doubtfully, because he left just now and did not hear Song Haotian's introduction.

"Nothing!" Dao Qingyun said casually and left.

Dolin looked at Jijiu in the yard with a blank look on his face, as if he wanted to get some news from him.

After quitting drinking, he closed the courtyard door and returned to the courtyard. Dolin had already gone downstairs to clean up the mess.

Quit drinking and accompany Dorian to clean the pots and pans.

"The person who asked you just now is also named Dao, and his name is Qingyun." Jijiu suddenly said.

"Really?" Dowling paused, then continued to clean.

"Is he a relative of yours?" Jijiu asked.

"My grandfather's name is Dao Qingtian, and his name is Dao Qingyun, what do you think." Daolin replied with an unattractive smile.

"Then he is the second grandpa you mentioned, right?" Qingjiu said as he put the washed dishes into the cupboard.

"Yes, but I don't know him, or I should have seen him when I was born, but I was too young to remember him at that time." Dorian shook the water on his hand and said.

"Then do you want to go back?" Qingjiu asked.

"How is it possible to go back? I left there when I was a child. They used my mother to force my father away. My mother is still missing for unknown reasons. They only have a deep hatred for me. We can never be a family. This imperial capital Shenwu

It seems that we can't enter the academy." Dolin said angrily, and finally looked at Jijiu with a bitter smile.

"If you don't want to go, don't go. At worst, we can go to another college. Okay, don't be sad. I will help with your aunt's affairs. If we work together, we will definitely find her." Jiujiu comforted her heart-warmingly.

Dolin looked at Jijiu with sharp eyes. He really had nothing good to say about this friend he had made for the first time in his life.

"Thank you. I, Dolin, won't waste any more words. I will take care of your food for the rest of your life." Dolin put his arm around the abstinent alcoholic's shoulders and said.

They each returned to their rooms. Daolin closed the door and leaned against it. His mind recalled the look in Dao Qingyun's eyes when he left. He was so ruthless. Is this still his blood relative?

Maybe what my father said was right. They no longer belong here, and they should not dream of returning here. They are people from two different worlds, and their relationship has been completely severed since the death of great-great-grandfather.

"No matter what, you will have to give an explanation sooner or later about my mother's affairs!" Dolin took a deep breath and said viciously in his heart.
