Chapter 103 Spending the night in the cave

After walking in for about a quarter of an hour, there were a lot of mushrooms, some of which had just sprouted. Su Yan's eyes lit up and she said happily: "You can pick up a lot here."

"You just pick it up on the ground, I'll go over there."

Qin An glanced at her, and then walked to a loose and hairy place on the ground, which was a bit slippery and would sway easily.

Before the two of them had finished picking up, it became dark. Qin An was worried about snakes at night and refused to let Su Yan pick up. "Go back to the cave."

Su Yan gasped slightly, "Okay, I'll pick it up again tomorrow morning."

The woman's tone was a little joyful, and the corners of Qin An's mouth raised, "Okay, we'll pick it up again tomorrow."

cave

Qin An lit a fire and then prepared a sleeping place for Su Yan. "I won't go far at night. I'll be nearby. If anything happens, just call out."

After living in the cave for many days, Su Yan was not afraid and signaled him not to worry, "Brother Qin, go ahead and be careful."

"Come back and rest in the middle of the night."

"good."

Qin An took the torch and bow and arrows and left. After Su Yan took a look through the fence, she took the earthen bowl and came out to simmer rice. The man was tired from hunting, but he still had something to eat when he came back.

After the rice was simmering, she yawned and lay down to sleep. The forest here was a little quiet, and even the smallest sounds could be heard.

She subconsciously missed Qin An. Every time she got up at night, the man next to her would always get out of bed and light a candle.

At midnight, the footsteps were getting closer and closer. Su Yan opened her eyes. It was dark outside. She whispered: "Brother Qin?"

"It's me." Qin An's deep voice.

Su Yan quickly stood up and opened the fence. The man came back with a chill, followed by the sound of heavy objects falling to the ground.

After a while, Qin An took out the fire folder, and the cave suddenly lit up. He grabbed the pine hair on the side and started the fire in a few strokes.

Only then did Su Yan see the thick-wristed snake on the ground, "Can snake meat also be sold?"

"Well, let's make wine in the wine shop." Qin An was afraid that she would be scared, so he grabbed a few handfuls of pine hair and put them on it.

He said in a low voice: "Not asleep? Scared?"

"I fell asleep and heard your footsteps."

Su Yan took out the earthen pot and touched the edge. It was still warm, and then went to get the bowl.

"Let's have some food for now. I'll make more food when I get home tomorrow."

Looking at the full bowl of white rice, Qin An felt warm. He took the chopsticks and started eating. Su Yan quickly went to bring him some water, "Slow down, don't choke."

After finishing the meal in a few mouthfuls, Qin An put down the bowl and chopsticks and looked at the woman. She was obviously sleepy, but she still waited for him. She said softly: "It's late at night, go to sleep."

Su Yan thought about the place where he didn't sleep, "Let's sleep together. We can sleep if we squeeze each other. It's uncomfortable to sleep sitting up."

"No need for you, just sleep."

Qin An had been running around all day and was covered in sweat. She would definitely not like sleeping next to her.

Su Yan stretched out her hand to pull him and yawned, "Brother Qin, we have been sleeping together for a long time, don't be embarrassed."

"Go to sleep quickly, we have to go to town to sell prey at dawn."

"I'm sweating and I smell bad." Qin An said seriously.

Hearing this, Su Yan laughed and said, "What's the point?"

Qin An still didn't agree, and finally said: "I'll go out and wash myself, and I'll be back soon." After saying that, he went out carrying the water jar.

In the blink of an eye, the rough man was no longer visible. Su Yan felt helpless and then pulled the sheets off the floor.

After a while, Qin An came back wearing single clothes with some water stains on his face.

He looked at the lying woman, locked the fence, and lay next to her. Neither of them spoke for a while.

Su Yan was just about to fall asleep when suddenly a big hand hugged her in his arms, and her whole body felt as warm as a stove.

She stiffened instinctively. Although the two of them slept on the same bed, Qin An rarely slept with her in his arms.

The man's deep voice sounded in the cave, "Just hold me if you are cold."

The fire in the cave gradually extinguished, probably because of Qin An's presence. Su Yan felt at ease and fell asleep after a while.

With the soft fragrance in her arms, Qin An had no evil intentions, but he was reluctant to sleep. She slept with him in the cave without any objection.

The sky outside was slightly bright, and there was movement in the cave.

Qin An went out to pick up a lot of mushrooms and came back. After packing the prey, he woke Su Yan up and said, "We're going down the mountain. Don't go to the town later. Sleep more at home."

Su Yan combed her hair and said, "I've slept enough, but you didn't sleep for a while."

The two of them walked down the mountain in the morning mist. The ground was a little moist. After taking a few steps, Qin An bent down slightly and held Su Yan in his arms, "Hold tight."

This man had the same strength anytime and anywhere, or he treated her like a child. Su Yan was a little helpless, but she still hugged his neck.

What a person like Qin An needs is not that people care about him, but that he needs to rely on him, so that he can feel at ease.

She doesn't really like to rely on others, but she always has to learn to be flexible.

As soon as the two of them arrived at the door, they met Goudan's mother carrying tofu. She glanced at the two of them and said, "You went up the mountain. No wonder you weren't there several times when I looked for you yesterday. I'm giving you this tofu, so hurry up and eat it."

Otherwise it will be sour."

Su Yan reached out and took it, "Okay." After saying that, she entered the yard.

Xiao Bai and Xiao Huang happily ran around her, and Su Yan shouted twice, "Get out of the way, I'll prepare delicious food for you later."

"Brother Qin, you go feed the chickens and get a bucket of crabs. I'll make some pancakes soon." After that, he went to the kitchen.

She found an earthen bowl, grabbed the flour, poured the tofu into it, crushed it into pieces, and then beat four or five eggs and put them in it.

The flour was still a little dry, so she added some water.

As soon as the kneading was done, Qin An came in and sat at the door of the stove to light the fire without saying anything.

Su Yan put the pork in the pot and baked the pancakes quickly. In a short while, she baked ten pancakes and lost two pancakes to feed the dogs.

She put the rest in a bowl and put it in a basket, intending to eat it on the road. It was already a little late to reach town.

In the town, time is passing.

The two of them took the crabs to the restaurant first, and the shopkeeper weighed them in front of them. They weighed thirteen kilograms, and they paid more than one hundred and sixty yuan.

After that, the two of them went to the wine shop. The uncle of the wine shop, Qin An, took a big snake with a thick arm and his eyes lit up, "Little brother, you can do it. You can catch such a big snake."

People who bought drinks came to watch the fun and chatted with each other.

"What a thick snake."

"This wine is really good."

"How much silver does it cost?"

"It's only about ten taels of silver at least. The last time my house was sold, it wasn't that big. It cost ten taels of silver. It was bought by an old man."

Now the uncle of the wine shop was not happy. Before he could even discuss the price, these people gave him a higher price and said, "If you don't want to buy wine, get out. We won't even be able to stand in the shop."

Then he said to the strong man in front of him: "This snake is big, but it is not as valuable alive as it is dead. Look at it like this, how about ten taels of silver?"

Obviously trying to lower the price, Su Yan interjected: "Then we still won't sell it. Someone on the road offered thirteen taels of silver and we didn't even sell it."

Qin An said "Hmm" and bent down to pick up the dead snake back into his basket. Seeing them about to leave, the uncle quickly stopped him: "Oh, tell me, I can add two taels of silver at most. Fifteen taels, you can sell it to me."

Give me money."
