Chapter 426: Rebirth

In the early morning, Princess Yiyang woke up from her sleep, she still felt very tired.

Her sleep was very poor. She would wake up at the slightest movement and look around alertly.

Living in Yeting for the past few years, she was always on tenterhooks. She was afraid of being bullied by eunuchs and maids, afraid of starving and freezing, and even more afraid that one day a eunuch would give their sisters death with white silk or poisonous wine.

She and Princess Xuancheng lived in this kind of life for three full years.

Princess Yiyang, who had just woken up, had a bit of confusion in her eyes. Looking at the unfamiliar environment around her, Yiyang was startled and couldn't help but curl up her legs, and then her thoughts gradually returned to normal.

This is the British government palace, not Yeting. She and her sister have been rescued.

They are now Li Qinzai's disciples, and from now on they are no longer always surrounded by the threat of death.

Staring at the unfamiliar furnishings in the room, Princess Yiyang's eyes were slightly red.

Unless you experience it yourself, you cannot understand the feeling of being pulled back when you are about to fall off the cliff.

Back at Zongzheng Temple, the poisonous wine from Li Yifu was almost on the lips of their sisters. It was Li Qinzai who led his men to break in and pull them back from the gate of hell.

The sun rises, it is new day after day, and today is the beginning of their new life.

Beside the couch, Princess Xuancheng was still sleeping, and Yiyang looked at her quietly.

Xuancheng's brows were furrowed. Even in her sleep, she still hugged her chest tightly with her hands. She had maintained this defensive sleeping position for many years.

Birdsong can be heard outside the window, and the sky is already bright.

Yiyang gently pushed Xuancheng awake.

Xuancheng opened his sleepy eyes, and his reaction was the same as Yiyang's. He was first frightened by the unfamiliar environment, and then smiled reassuringly after reacting.

"Get dressed and freshen up. It's time for us to say hello to your husband." Yiyang said softly.

Xuancheng nodded sensibly, and the two sisters dressed and groomed in silence.

After dressing up, the two princesses walked out of the room.

The palace was still quiet, with only a few servants cleaning the courtyard.

The two sisters walked hand in hand to the small courtyard where Li Qinzai and his wife lived. Seeing that the courtyard was quiet and the bedroom door was closed, the sisters hesitated for a while. They didn't know whether to go up and knock on the door or wait for Li Qinzai to wake up before saying hello.

Both of them had no idea, and they were too unfamiliar with the British government to dare to wander around. After some discussion, they decided to wait quietly for Mr. Li to wake up.

They waited for half the morning, and until three o'clock in the morning, Li Qinzai's bedroom did not open the door. Yiyang couldn't help but wonder whether there was anyone in this bedroom.

In this era, both monarchs and ministers, as well as powerful people, generally had good living habits. Even the bad guys would go to bed early and get up early to do bad things. The two princesses had never seen anyone who didn't get up until midnight.

The more the sisters waited, the more uneasy they became. Under the long-term threat of death, they were used to thinking about the worst in everything. The more Yiyang thought about it, the more he felt that Mr. Li sleeping in the bedroom would not encounter any accidents, otherwise how could he sleep like this?

hour.

So Yiyang hesitated for a moment, gritted his teeth, and mustered up the courage to go and knock on the door.

After knocking a few times, there was no movement in the room, so Yiyang continued to knock without giving up.

After knocking for a while, Li Qinzai suddenly shouted loudly from the bedroom: "What a curse! What bastard is so full that he can't get along with me so early in the morning!"

"Just stand outside and wait, see if I prick you or not!"

Yiyang and Xuancheng suddenly turned pale with fear. Yiyang looked down at his hands with a regretful look on his face, while Xuancheng hugged her arm tightly and shivered.

"Sister, are we in trouble?... Sir, he is so irritable." Xuancheng asked in horror.

Yiyang was also frightened, but he still tried to maintain his composure in front of his sister: "Mo, don't be afraid, even if sir beats us, at least he won't kill us..."

After a rustling in the room, a disheveled Li Qinzai opened the door with a bang and stared at the two sisters outside the door with red eyes.

Yiyang and Xuancheng screamed in fright and hugged each other.

Li Qinzai, who was very angry when he saw them outside the door, was stunned for a moment, and his angry expression finally subsided.

"Did you knock on the door just now?"

Yiyang mustered up his courage, blocked his sister behind him, and puffed up his chest: "Sir, please forgive me. It was my disciple who offended me. I don't know that I'm still awake..."

Li Qinzai looked her over, and his tone was still not too kind: "Why are you knocking on the door?"

"I would like to say hello to you, sir." Yiyang said in a low voice, and then added: "I have learned the rules in palace school, and I must say hello to you every day."

"No need!" Li Qinzai blurted out without thinking, and then softened his tone and said: "My disciples, all red tape can be discarded. From now on, don't disturb me before noon, and don't even think about this bad habit of saying hello!"

"Anyway, you two should treat me as dead every morning. You can mourn me silently in your heart. Don't cry and dig graves, as you will disturb me."

The two sisters stared at him blankly, silently enjoying the beautiful moment of being shaken by the car.

Li Qinzai yawned, waved to the two girls, then turned around and planned to go back to sleep.

But Yiyang stopped him, bowed to him first, and said softly: "I started late, so I may have fallen behind other brothers in my studies. Please teach me the classics of my sect. If you want to study in this sect, please try your best to catch up."

Come on, brothers."

Li Qinzai was greatly relieved when he heard this.

Those little bastards in Ganjing Village spent their days reading like a fool. Over time, even Li Qinzai got used to this Buddhist teaching method. Suddenly seeing the attitude of the two princesses studying so hard, he was a little uncomfortable for a while.

"Don't be too diligent, otherwise my husband will be embarrassed, and being too diligent will disrupt the rhythm of my life..."

"If you really feel bored, you might as well find something else to do, such as cleaning the yard or something."

Yiyang's eyes lit up, as if he had been given a sacred mission, and he said loudly: "Yes, I will clean the courtyard now. I will not let you down."

"Well, it doesn't have to be so formal, as long as you don't make a sound, I will go back to my room to study the way of heaven. Don't disturb me, otherwise I will go crazy..."

After saying a perfunctory word, Li Qinzai went back to his room and continued to sleep.

Li Qinzai felt no psychological burden by letting the two Jinzhiyuye do the work of cleaning the courtyard.

When the two princes were studying, they were often whipped by Li Qinzai to the point of crying and howling. Why did they ask the princess to clean the courtyard?

…………

After noon, Li Qinzai finally got up and stretched out of his bedroom. He saw that the yard had been completely renewed, and not even a fallen leaf could be found.

Just as he was about to ask his servants to pack their luggage and return to Ganjingzhuang, Butler Wu came to report that the Lord of Jinxiang County was visiting.

Li Qinzai raised his eyebrows and said, "Oh, there is a way to heaven but you don't take it, and there is no door to hell and you break in!"
