High-standard materials naturally bring strong stability, and also give the Taihe the confidence to lift heavy objects, laying the foundation for the Taihe to become the strongest in the world.
Feng Chenyi followed the members of the incoming headquarters to the inside of the beam. There are more than ten high-power winches hidden in the beam of more than 100 meters. One machine has four lifting points, each of which can lift nearly five feet.
It weighs hundreds of tons, and the single wire rope responsible for hoisting it exceeds 4,000 meters.
This is the largest lifting equipment in the world, and it is also the most technically difficult large-scale lifting equipment in the world today. The existence of Taihe directly revolutionized the construction method of semi-submersible platforms in the offshore field.
With the help of the world's strongest Hercules, Fuhai Group has greatly increased the construction speed of large-scale offshore engineering equipment.
They have verified this point countless times, and this time they are going to show off their power again on the Blue Whale.
In order to meet the important task of closing the Blue Whale, the Taihe began all aspects of maintenance work a month ago, starting with a screw and not letting go of any hidden dangers.
All winches, all steel cables, and all lines have been tested to make them foolproof. Even the staff involved in the lifting have been fully trained.
According to the information sent by the Whale Dream Project headquarters, although this hoisting is not the heaviest lifting task since the Taihe was built, it is the most important one and the one that attracts the attention of the entire Fuhai Group. It is absolutely not allowed.
There are only a few flaws.
For the sake of caution, the lifting department has conducted multiple staged and all-round drills, and even conducted practical tests with a 10,000-ton barge, all in order to better complete the tasks assigned by the group company.
In early March, when each shipyard was nearing the end of building components, they sent an inspection team of more than ten people to conduct on-site inspections of all components and carefully study the hoisting and weighting of the components.
Even so, they were still worried and invited design engineers such as Feng Chenyi from Clover to give them a comprehensive introduction to the design framework and specific equipment installation of the Blue Whale, and also came up with their own hoisting plan.
We asked them to inspect the plan again, hoping to find the deficiencies so that the hoisting of the Blue Whale could be successful and flawless.
The lifting department has made a series of preparations to welcome the Blue Whale.
In their words, Taihe is ready!
Feng Chenyi, who likes to stand on a high place and look out at the sea every day, looked out from the beam of the Taihe. In the distance, the giant steel boots built by Fengyang Shipyard were ready, waiting for the moment to arrive at the Taihe.
With the sound of firecrackers at Fengyang Shipyard, Feng Chen knew that the day to witness the closing of the Blue Whale was coming.
On the embankments on both sides of the Taihe, colorful flags were fluttering and gongs and drums were heard, from Fuhai Group Xiaobailou, Clover Design Department, the lifting department, Fengyang Shipyard, Hailong Shipyard and Beifeng Shipyard as well as various supporting units and suppliers
Representatives of the units are gathered here waiting for the arrival of the first component of the Blue Whale.
The speed of the tugboat was very slow, so slow that everyone was anxious. Both the people seeing off and the welcoming team were all looking forward to it. Their expressions were like those of the family members sending off the bride and the team picking up the bride. They were all paying attention.
The bride's movements.
People on the shore saw the tall figure of the ship in the distance, and the tugboats around it looked so small. After leaving the shipyard, the wind and waves on the sea increased, hitting the pontoons and columns, creating huge waves.
The huge size caused a sudden increase in the pressure on the tugboats. The personnel of the towing command center continuously issued instructions to each tugboat to reduce the transportation pressure as much as possible.
The experienced tugboat captain issued various orders cleanly and neatly to ensure the stability of the hull.
The mood of everyone on the shore was constantly changing with the movement of this behemoth.
Finally, this steel giant was getting closer and closer to the Taihe, and everyone was becoming more and more nervous and excited.
As the lower hull slowly approached and closed the slipway, various fireworks on the shore rose into the sky, a unique way to welcome the arrival of this distinguished guest.
Although this was not the first time that Feng Chenyi had seen this behemoth, he was still impressed by its burliness when he saw it again. The pillars tens of meters high were like the sea-fixing needles, able to support the huge and complex platform above.
The two huge pontoons that are more than 100 meters long are enough to shock everyone who sees them.
Along with the arrival of the lower hull, the upper hull with more complex equipment and structure is about to join it.
As soon as Feng Chen got off the Taihe, he immediately entered into negotiations with the lifting department.
Compared with the burly lower hull, which is like a giant boot, the upper hull is much larger and more complex. The entire platform undertakes the living, office and production functions of the Blue Whale. It not only has a towering drilling pipe rack system, but also complex control and hydraulic systems.
As well as a large number of production facilities, the total weight exceeds more than 18,000 tons, which is equivalent to the total weight of thirty-two of the world's largest passenger aircraft, the Airbus A380.
For such a large, complex and extremely heavy component, Taihe must be foolproof.
Feng Chenyi explained in detail the condition of the upper hull of the Blue Whale and pointed out the key points that need to be paid attention to, such as whether the tens of meters high tower will affect the operation, and whether there will be obstruction problems from the surrounding cranes and helicopter platforms.
The talks between the parties lasted for three full days. Everyone went through all the problems and possibilities that could be imagined until every problem had corresponding plans and solutions.
After the meeting, Feng Chen rushed to Beifeng Shipyard without stopping. Although the columns and pontoons of Fengyang Shipyard had a shocking feeling, the upper hull in front of him was even larger.
Walking in the upper hull, which is the size of a football field, is like walking through a maze. People who are not familiar with its structure may not find their way accidentally. Feng Chenyi is familiar with the road inside.
He is familiar with the structure and can remember its location according to the number of each pillar.
The equipment in the upper hull occupies most of the equipment, and it cannot move on its own. It can only be transported to the closing dock by a semi-submersible ship. The workers in the shipyard are busy and busy, starting to make various preparations before transportation.
Naturally, Feng Chenyi does not have to worry about transportation. What he has to do now is to ensure that all structures and components meet the construction requirements before transportation, and are consistent with the design of the four-leaf clover, although this kind of thing has been done countless times.
