Chapter 80: Teaching and Solving Puzzles

At noon, Chloe came back from her work, and the four of them had dinner with other comrades.

Today's lunch for the Equality Association consists of mashed potato cakes, vegetarian pies, cabbage mixed with mushrooms, vinegar pickled cucumbers, and honey tea. This is a difficult hardship for some members who previously lived in a privileged environment, but Verak does not care.

, eating with relish.

"Chris, the meeting time has been set. It will start at three o'clock this afternoon." Boyin has already arranged the time. "The location is still the same place where we had the previous meeting."

The underground conference room where they held their previous meeting was not very large, and Verak estimated that not many people would come to listen: "How many people are going to listen?"

"Counting the three of us, there are a total of forty-one people. The conference room is crowded and we can still fit in all the seats." Boyin poured a cup of honey tea for Verak, Chloe, and Morais. "After the meeting,

These thirty-eight reserve backbones will rush to eleven major cities at home and abroad to provide support."

"Yes." Verak nodded, chewed and swallowed the food in his mouth and said, "Speaking of which, my father should be as anxious as an ant on a hot pot now."

Boyin took a sip of honey tea and said, "As soon as you leave, he will know that we are fully prepared."

"That's right." Verak picked up a piece of plain pie, "My leaving is a sign that we are ready. What I asked before was to pay off the money in two months. I guess this request made my father miscalculate

Given the time, I thought he would have at least a month to prepare."

"Then what do we do next?" Chloe asked.

Morais chewed the food and moved his neck, as if he was about to have a big fight.

"Sit on the mountain and watch the fight between tigers." Verak briefly established the policy of the Equality Society.

"Aren't we going to take action?" Chloe was a little surprised.

"We increase our strength not to attack the Thomas family proactively, but to effectively resist and counterattack when they attack us." Boyn explained first, "After all, it makes no sense for us to attack them proactively and we can't gain anything.

What's the benefit? So just leave this matter to others. Now the more than ten forces that have control of the bill are probably coveting the Thomas family."

"Boin is right." Verak acknowledged. Boyin is a smart man and can easily understand his thoughts, which makes it very easy to get along with him.

"Let's hand over the work after dinner." Boyin suggested.

In the past month and a half, Verak had been under house arrest most of the time and was unable to fully devote himself to the work of the Equality Association. Therefore, most of the things were done by a few of them. Verak was only responsible for making decisions on major matters.

Now that Verak has returned, as the president, naturally he can no longer seem to be ignored, nor can his outstanding abilities be wasted in vain.

The reason why Verak didn't come to live with Carmine immediately after he broke up with Carmine was because he thought there was too much trouble, so he decisively found an excuse: "We are in a critical period now, and some things may be inappropriate at this juncture.

, wait until the war with my family comes to an end, and then prepare to hand over the work."

Because what Verak said was not unreasonable, Boyin had no choice but to agree and put the matter aside for the time being.

After dinner, everyone got busy again.

There is no lunch break at all in the equality meeting. Everyone makes full use of time and completes the work with the highest efficiency.

It was still early for the meeting, Boyin, Chloe, and Morais were all busy with their own business. Verak did not want to be lazy openly, so he went back to the room to rest in the name of preparing for the afternoon meeting.

In the room, Verak was lying on the bed, playing with the pistol and magazine, and recalled his first murder.

Strictly speaking, the day Carmine was about to eradicate him was the first time he killed the driver. Although Dempsey also died because of him, he did not die directly at his hands, so the impact was not felt.

Strong enough.

What surprised Verak was that he didn't know whether it was because he was too busy. Apart from being trembling after he had just killed the driver, he didn't feel any strange, had no nightmares, or felt any discomfort afterwards.

It is also possible that both Dempsey and the driver were the ones who wanted to kill him, so he did not have any psychological burden by killing him out of self-protection, and was more grateful to have escaped death.

Even so, Verak still hopes that the future will be smooth sailing and that this situation will not happen again. He does not want too much blood on his hands. He is not rushing to kill people, nor does he want to solve problems blindly through killing people.

It was a hot summer day and the warehouse was extremely hot. After lying down for a while, Verak felt that his whole body was covered in sweat, so he had to get up and go outside for some fresh air.

Outside the warehouse is a lush forest, with a creek flowing with cool water, which is a perfect place to escape the heat. Verak chose a spot under the shade of the trees and sat down next to the creek to rest.

Time passed by, and at three o'clock in the afternoon, Verak arrived at the conference room below the warehouse.

Boyin and the others had already arrived and had prepared enough seats for more than forty people. Everyone was crowded in the small conference room. The air was so stuffy that people could hardly breathe. Verak looked at everyone's clothes and saw that they were visible to the naked eye.

His speed was soaked with sweat, but no one complained, they all looked at him eagerly.

Looking at the pair of clear eyes that were also looking at him, Verak was a little moved.

The heat was unbearable. He calmed down, took a deep breath, walked to the front, looked at everyone and asked, "Who can tell me what equality is?"

As soon as he finished speaking, more than a dozen hands were raised.

Verak nodded to someone.

"Equality means enjoying the same rights, the same dignity, and no distinction between superior and inferior." The young man replied.

"Everyone should have read the theory of equality." Verak paced back and forth to relieve the tension, "Equality is exactly what this young man said. It is as simple as that. We want the same rights, we want mutual respect, and a sound personality.

.But it seems like a simple request, but it is extremely difficult to achieve. Who knows why."

"Because the people who benefit from the current unequal system do not want the situation to change." Someone stood up and said, "In their view, once the situation changes, their interests will be deprived of the people at the bottom who suffer from unequal oppression."

When he heard the word "deprivation", Verak sneered: "In fact, the rights and all the benefits enjoyed by these upper-class people are deprived from the people at the bottom. If you have to say it, all we have to do is let them take away what they are not.

Spit out what you should eat and give it back to others."
