A "Heart Sutra" only has more than two hundred words.
But Su Wen knew clearly the significance of this sutra. It almost refined the entire thought of Mahayana Buddhism and condensed it into just over two hundred words. The great wisdom and Dzogchen contained in it require other
Buddhist scriptures are explained in lengthy chapters. This is not an exaggeration. The reality is that the Heart Sutra is the essence of the Mahaprajna Sutra, and the Mahaprajna Sutra has six hundred volumes of vast chapters.
After ten years of study, I still can't comprehend its profound meaning.
When Su Wen spit out the last few characters from his mouth, the mighty Arhat and the real Arhat fell into a long silence.
As great wise men of Buddhism, they can naturally feel the power of the sutras recited by Su Wen.
"Form is empty, and emptiness is form... Feelings, thoughts, and awareness are also like this!"
The real Arhat trembled all over, as if he was aware of the difference between his own Buddhism and the meaning of the scriptures expounded by Su Wen.
"Stay away from the upside-down dreams, achieve ultimate Nirvana...and obtain Anuttarasamyaksambodhi!"
The mighty Arhat was intoxicated.
His understanding is obviously deeper than that of the real Arhat.
When he just preached, he explained to the believers the various benefits of "Bodhisattva conduct", which ultimately is to seek the fruition of enlightenment. However, all kinds of behaviors are the things of practicing Buddha, but they cannot achieve the result of becoming a Buddha, so there is no way to achieve it.
Reaching the "ultimate" state, you cannot reach Nirvana and become a Buddha!
Even the mighty Arhat cannot become a Buddha immediately, so how can the believers who listen to the essence of his Buddhism do so?
But!
This Heart Sutra clearly states that all dharmas are empty and empty. According to the Prajna Paramita, the mind has no worries and is far away from upside-down dreams. It will lead to Nirvana!
This is a path to Buddhahood!
No, this is a path for everyone to become a Buddha!
For a moment, the mighty Arhat was confused.
The Buddhist teaching he accepted in the past is that there is only one Buddha, and that is the true Buddha who founded Buddhism in ancient times.
The "Buddha" that Buddhism currently calls is a "Buddha" whose extraordinary power has reached the level of a saint. It is a "Buddha" in the name, but not a "Buddha" in its true meaning!
"This, this is deviant!"
The real Arhat soon woke up from his intoxication. He also discovered the boldness in the "Heart Sutra".
This discussion is bound to be recognized by many Buddhist greats, but at the same time, there are also many people who criticize it and even regard it as a heresy.
"Excellent... May I ask the wise man, where does this sutra come from?"
A Buddhist verse came from afar. Su Wen looked up and saw a monk with a broad forehead, high nose, long ears and bare feet walking slowly over.
"The Great Virtue Bodhisattva."
The mighty Arhat nodded to the visitor.
The real Arhat still stood up in a decent manner, bowed and saluted.
Su Wen had no choice but to stand up and pay his respects.
But soon, he saw that behind the Great Virtue Bodhisattva, there were several other Bodhisattvas and Arhats with different manners and various visions.
The real Arhats salute one by one.
Su Wen also nodded in greeting and saw Juxian Bodhisattva following behind everyone.
"Little friend Su Wen, answer the words of the Great Virtue Bodhisattva."
Juxian Bodhisattva was also barefoot and walked lightly to Su Wen's side.
"This is the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra."
Su Wen replied: "I saw it from an unknown ancient book."
He deliberately emphasized the word "Anonymous" to make it appear that he had a lot to do with the "Heart Sutra".
"Ah……"
The Great Virtue Bodhisattva smiled calmly at Su Wen: "The donor has great wisdom, please do not speak lies, which will harm your virtue."
Who is the Great Virtuous Bodhisattva? He can naturally tell the truth from what Su Wen said.
He knew that Su Wenyan was not sincere, so he instinctively believed that the scriptures Su Wen narrated were Su Wen's own understanding of Buddhism.
After all, he couldn't visualize the knowledge Su Wen brought to him in his previous life through Su Wen's performance.
"indeed so."
Su Wen shook his head and smiled bitterly.
"Then the donor has obtained other scriptures from ancient books and preached them to us once?"
The Great Virtue Bodhisattva smiled and said to Su Wen.
"this……"
Su Wen hesitated a little.
He could see that the looks in the eyes of the Arhats and Bodhisattvas around him ranged from expectation to hatred.
This attitude is not only towards him, but also towards the Heart Sutra he just described.
The theory of Hinayana Buddhism has been passed down for a long time. The entire Buddhist country is basically full of people who have accepted this set of Buddhist theories. Su Wen rashly gave them a set of theories of Mahayana Buddhism, which can easily be regarded as a heresy.
You know, academic debates can be polite, sharp-tongued, and well-founded.
It can also be the flash of swords and shadows, the daggers drawn and the bloody and merciless massacre.
If the Mahayana sutras can be narrated in front of these Buddhist masters who have achieved enlightenment through the Hinayana Dharma in the past, it would be fine. If it shakes their minds and causes confusion, then these kind-hearted masters will be very happy.
It might turn him into ashes.
However……
At this time, there were seven or eight Bodhisattvas and more than a dozen Arhats sitting around. Su Wen knew that the matter would not be settled without telling them a section of the "unknown" Buddhist teachings.
"How dare you disobey the Bodhisattva's words?"
Su Wen nodded and said: "Xiao Ke still remembers an article called "The Buddha Says the Sutra that Can Break the Vajra Prajnaparamita", and I want to share it with you Bodhisattvas and Arhats."
He did not dare to mention words such as sermons and sermons, but he slowly said the name of the Diamond Sutra.
""The Sutra that Can Break the Vajra Prajnaparamita"..."
Upon hearing the name, the Bodhisattvas and Arhats frowned.
This is the name of a scripture they have never heard of.
"Please ask the master to speak."
But after hearing the power brought by the Sanskrit sound, everyone knew that the Dharma that Su Wen could speak was extremely powerful, and they all knelt down and listened to the Dharma that Su Wen was about to talk about.
This has always been the case in Buddhism. Once someone is determined to be qualified to preach the Dharma, no matter how high or low their status is, they must listen to the Dharma and listen to the Dharma until the end.
Although Su Wen was not a disciple of Buddhism and had nothing to do with the Buddhist country, he was able to preach Buddhism at this time, and it was a subtle Buddhist teaching that had never been seen in the Buddhist country. Naturally, he treated him with the most humble attitude.
"If I hear..."
Su Wen cleared his throat: "For a while, the Buddha was in Savatthi State, and he only planted trees in the Solitary Garden. Together with the great monks, 1,250 people..."
After hearing the four words "This is what I hear," the audience straightened their backs subconsciously and listened attentively.
Among the existing Buddhist scriptures, such a sentence appears in only a few scriptures related to the ancient "true Buddha" period. And these scriptures are all the cornerstones of Buddhism.
The "Diamond Sutra" only has more than 5,000 words, and everyone present is basically a master of Buddhism. Su Wen can easily understand the words mentioned by Su Wen, without the need for Su Wen to stop to answer any confusion.
So throughout the whole process, Su Wen was reciting the classics.
This actually convinced everyone that Su Wen obtained such a Buddhist sutra from ancient books, rather than from Su Wen's own insights.
"Good, good!"
"My Buddha is compassionate!"
As Su Wen recited more scriptures, the reactions of the surrounding Bodhisattvas and Arhats became stronger and stronger. Lotus flowers kept flashing around him, and there were countless auspicious signs.
Especially the great virtuous Bodhisattva who came first, the dharma signs all over his body were superimposed one after another, and there were actually twenty-four dharma signs displayed in front of everyone. This was because he deliberately hid more dharma signs, otherwise he would be able to show more.
"...All conditioned phenomena are like bubbles in a dream, like dew or lightning, and should be viewed as such."
Su Wen looked at his nose with his eyes, and his mind with his nose. He only focused on talking about the Dharma, but did not take a look at the Dharma of the extraordinary beings around him and their reactions to the Dharma. When he finally said the words "you should observe like this", Su Wen only felt full of strength.
It's like being emptied out.
Actually, it's not just a feeling.
The "Diamond Sutra" also involves extraordinary power in this world. Every word he speaks consumes a certain amount of power.
Su Wen's strength actually only supported one-fifth of what he said, but both the Divine Arhat and the True Mortal Arhat discovered this. One of them held Su Wen's ankle, and the other held down Su Wen's ankle.
The back of Su Wen continuously pours powerful Buddha power into Su Wen's body, providing him with the strength to continue speaking the Dharma.
After finishing a sutra and the two Arhats regained their strength, Su Wen felt completely exhausted.
But after collapse, Su Wen felt that his body seemed to be undergoing transformation.
Looking at the skin, Su Wen discovered that there was a layer of glazed substance on the skin, which shone brightly, and the bones in the body made subtle clicking sounds.
In the chest area, the sound of tiny bones breaking was heard intensively.
"This is……"
Su Wen soon realized that his body was soaked in the power of Buddhism, and his mortal bones were being transformed by the powerful power of Buddhism.
Over a period of time, he has suffered countless injuries. As an extraordinary person, he heals quickly. But because of this, the healed bones are also covered with tiny bone spurs, and there are many dislocations and cracks.
But under the infiltration of Buddha's power, Su Wen noticed that the hidden wounds on his body were quickly healing.
"Buddha transformation?"
At this time, the surrounding Bodhisattvas and Arhats were also surprised to see the changes in Su Wen's body.
Naturally, they can clearly understand that the changes in Su Wen came from oral Buddhist scriptures. But in their opinion, the most important change for Su Wen is to achieve fruition and become a Buddhist Arhat or even a Bodhisattva. The reason is very simple.
, the Buddhist scriptures narrated by Su Wen are of great weight.
Therefore, they also realized that this Buddhist Dharma could never have been understood by Su Wen himself, and that the Dharma probably came from the true Buddha from the ancient times.
Therefore, under the influence of this Buddhist teaching, Su Wenhui awakened to the extraordinary path of Buddhism and became a member of the Buddhist sect.
However, the reality was completely different from what they expected. Su Wen's body was transformed by Buddhism, but there was no extraordinary way to awaken to Buddhism.
So they thought of another possibility.
It is also the most unlikely possibility.
The body becomes Buddha. In other words, Su Wen becomes a walking relic.
"How can it be?"
Many fallen eminent monks will turn into relics after their death, but Su Wen... a living person, who is not a Buddhist, actually turned into a big relic while he was still alive. How... how to explain this?
