Four hundred and thirtieth chapters get the way

"In the direction of Savatthi City... there is a lot of movement."

Su Wen stood on a hill behind the small temple and looked towards the direction of Savatthi City.

Over the past few days, various news continued to reach his ears, giving Su Wen a general understanding of the situation in the Buddhist country.

Juxian Bodhisattva...actually became a Buddha!

This was news from an hour ago.

The news came from a disciple of Juxian Bodhisattva who risked his life. When the dojo was sealed and his brothers were arrested and killed, he decisively pretended to surrender and led the enemy forces to take over the property and wealth in the name of Juxian Bodhisattva.

and people.

But secretly, this disciple secretly protected the surviving brothers, left Savatthi City, and fled to other places. It was also he who passed on all kinds of timely information to the real Arhat through secret techniques, which allowed Su Wen to know in time

What happened in Savatthi.

After becoming a Buddha, Ju Xian's situation did not get better.

Because the Lord Glazed Buddha awakened the sleeping Lord Colored Light Buddha, the two sides fought hard and razed a mine in the northwest corner of Savatthi City. In the end, the Colored Light Buddha Bead was injured and fell asleep, while the Lord Juxian was seriously injured and escaped. When he escaped, he was still alive.

He killed four or five Arhats who participated in the encirclement and suppression. They were notorious for their evil reputation, so Buddhism declared that Lord Juxian Buddha did not become a Buddha, but mistakenly believed in evil dharma and fell into the devil's path. Now he has become a demon and everyone can punish him.

As for the group of Bodhisattvas and Arhats who followed Lord Juxian Buddha, they were also charged with this crime. The Bodhisattvas and Arhats who were originally aloof became the incarnations of demons, and each one of them became a street rat.

But these powerful Buddhists still had the power to protect themselves after all, and were able to escape the wanted pursuit led by Glazed Light Bodhisattva for a while. However, their disciples and believers were not so lucky. Most of them were killed on the spot, and a few were sold.

They became slaves, and some were deprived of their original class and became untouchable pariahs.

This was still done inside Savatthi City. Outside Savatthi City, the situation was even worse.

In the name of eradicating heretics, the private army of the city lord's palace and the army of Savatthi State committed crimes at will and robbed the people. The victims were even followers of the Red Lotus Bodhisattva, so much so that the Red Lotus Bodhisattva did not find time even in his busy schedule.

They went to reprimand the rebel leader Yu Chigang and the city lord Dugu Yi. Both parties said they would try their best to restrain their men, but such promises were unlikely to have any effect.

"Juxian Bodhisattva... No, Juxian Buddha Lord is really fierce!"

Su Wen sighed softly.

From what we know, Juxian Bodhisattva completed his promotion under the gaze of the Lord of Glazed Light and Colored Light.

Then he defeated Lord Caiguang Buddha in a dignified manner, and escaped from the pursuit of Lord Liuguang Buddha, without knowing where he ended up.

The Caiguang Buddha Lord is not the Glazed Light Buddha Lord! It is recognized that he is one of the most capable Buddha Lords in the Buddhist Kingdom. Of course, among the most capable Buddha Lords, he will definitely not be ranked among the top two.

But the third place position is certain.

The fight with Juxian Buddha ended in a lose-lose outcome that no one expected.

More importantly, under the siege of dozens of Arhats, Bodhisattvas and Lord Glazed Buddha, Lord Juxian was able to escape. This result itself is magical enough.

"The Great Virtue Bodhisattva...has also completed his promotion and should now be the Great Virtue Buddha..."

The green lion Arhat sat next to Su Wen, nodded slightly and said, "It's a pity that I didn't listen to your sermon, otherwise I should be as powerful as the gods, or become a Bodhisattva."

"I can give a sermon to Arhat."

Hearing this, Su Wen blinked.

For him, preaching is not a difficult task. It is just a matter of repeating the scriptures that he has remembered in his mind.

How much the listener can benefit from it, as long as it depends on his personal consciousness, has little to do with him. In Su Wen's view, he is just a scripture repeater with no emotion.

"really?"

Green Lion Arhat's eyes lit up, he pondered for a moment and said: "I'm not looking for the possibility of promotion, poor monk, as long as the Dharma you hold is too subtle, I can't help but want to hear it."

"Understand, understand."

Su Wen nodded repeatedly.

"I wonder if the Arhat would like to listen to the Diamond Sutra, the Surangama Sutra, or other scriptures?"

"Are there any other scriptures?"

Bluestone Arhat was shocked. He couldn't help but look Su Wen up and down, and said in shock: "You can't be the reincarnation of the real Buddha, right?"

He had a good relationship with Lord Juxian Buddha. He had read the Diamond Sutra taught by Su Wen before, and found it to be extremely subtle and benefited a lot from it.

If he could listen to Su Wen personally preach once, he might also be able to find an opportunity for promotion. If there was a chance, he could listen to the Shurangama Sutra, which he had never seen before, and his chances would be even greater.

After all, as an Arhat, if you can listen to the Shurangama Sutra, which is about subduing evil spirits, you will definitely benefit from it. Even if you are not promoted to a higher level, you will still gain a lot.

"Arhat...do you want to become a Buddha?"

Su Wen asked with a smile.

"..." The Green Lion Arhat was silent for a moment, and then said: "Of course that's what I thought. It's just that for those who have practiced Buddhism in the past, becoming an Arhat is the highest."

"Then Bodhisattva, where did Lord Buddha come from?"

Su Wen asked.

"I understood the Buddha's Dharma, listened to the wonderful teachings left by the true Buddha in the Buddhist path, and finally became a Buddha." The Green Lion Arhat sighed: "When I became an Arhat, I also heard profound Buddhist teachings, but they were broken into pieces and could not be organized.

In the end, I couldn't understand its subtlety and became just an Arhat." There was also quite a bit of regret in his words.

"Then I will tell Arhat a Buddhist scripture that has not been taught yet..."

Su Wen made up his mind.

He wants to teach the Lotus Sutra.

In fact, over the past few days, Su Wen discovered that if he had not sought a sensational effect at first, and talked about the Lotus Sutra instead of the Diamond Sutra next to the mighty Arhat, he might not have caused such a big commotion.

The differences among Buddhists have reached such an exaggerated level.

Of course, the Lotus Sutra actually states most clearly that everyone can become a Buddha.

But because the Lotus Sutra explains the various behaviors on the road to Buddhahood for everyone, it is equivalent to teaching people step by step how to follow the method of becoming a Buddha, step by step to become a Buddha, instead of relying on one's own understanding.

Of course, the scriptures are just an introduction. The ultimate way to achieve perfection depends on personal practice.

It's just that among the great powers of Buddhism, there is never a shortage of people with great wisdom. As long as they are provided with the correct ideas, they will definitely find a way to advance.

Su Wen was convinced of this.

What's even more rare is that when Mahayana Buddhism arose, there was already a saying that "Sravakas" and "Pratyekabuddhas" were the two vehicles or Hinayana Buddhism, and "Bodhisattva" was the Mahayana. The Lotus Sutra appeared in

In this era, the power is manifested, the three are merged into one, the three vehicles are integrated into one, and the first two are regarded as "convenient". The two eventually return to become Buddhas as the ultimate goal, opening up the path from the small to the big.

In other words, such a method may make it more difficult for the great virtues who uphold Hinayana Buddhism in the Buddhist country to accept it, so as not to cause civil strife in the Buddhist country.

Unfortunately, when the order is reversed, the effect is completely different.

It’s no wonder that Su Wen didn’t have much interest in understanding the Buddhist scriptures in his mind, let alone straighten out the relationship between them, if it hadn’t been for all the troubles caused before.

"In this case, why can only a poor monk listen? Zen Master, please wait a moment!"

The Green Lion Arhat immediately went to greet Zhenfan, the Silver Arhat, and several old acquaintances and monks.

In order not to attract attention, Green Lion Arhat dragged Su Wen back to the small temple and arranged many shielding formations.

In this way, even if Su Wen's lectures induce visions, they will not be discovered by outsiders.

"Simple is a little too simple..."

Finally, he pushed Su Wen onto the futon in the center of the Buddhist hall. The Green Lion Arhat smiled calmly and said: "When the Buddhist kingdom calms down, we will hold an unobstructed meeting for the Zen Master. Invite all the eminent monks and Bodhisattva Arhats to listen to the Zen Master's subtle teachings."

Buddha Dharma, the solemn Dharma."

Su Wen shook his head repeatedly and said in his heart that he had also thought about the Uncensored Conference, but his idea was completely different from that in Buddhism, so it was better not to hold it.

Su Wen coughed lightly, put away the worldly thoughts in his mind, meditated for a second, and his consciousness entered a state of emptiness.

"The Dharma I will teach you today is the Lotus Sutra of Wonderful Dharma."

"If I hear this, for a moment..."

Blue Lion, Silver Light, and Zhenfan sat attentively, listening carefully to Su Wen's words. The people around who were lucky enough to be invited by Green Lion Arhat to listen to the sermon also listened attentively.

After all, they had all heard about Su Wen's various glorious images and knew that such an opportunity was rare.

"The Lotus Sutra" has more than 80,000 words, and Su Wen naturally cannot remember the entire text, but most of it is exquisite, but there are no mistakes or omissions, and the overall structure is simple and smooth.

After just a few words, everyone's faces showed expressions of astonishment.

Not to mention the short and concise "Heart Sutra", the "Diamond Sutra" and the "Surangama Sutra" are two sutras that are enough to astound the entire Buddhist kingdom and directly trigger the tearing of the Buddhist kingdom.

What I didn't expect was that Su Wen actually had Buddhism to talk about, and as soon as he opened his mouth, he started talking about the profound and exquisite Mahayana Dharma.

In less than a quarter of an hour, a monk hiding in the corner whispered a Buddhist verse, and a vision arose in his body.

Su Wen glanced over, his eyes filled with approval.

This monk is an ordinary monk in the temple. He can read scriptures and has considerable wisdom, but he has not been able to be promoted to a transcendent. Moreover, he is already middle-aged. Generally speaking, it is impossible to be promoted to a transcendent.

However, when I heard the Lotus Sutra, all the accumulated confusions in my mind were solved, and something new emerged.

However, because enlightenment was too early at this time, it was unlikely that he would be promoted to a high position.

But for this ordinary monk, this was an adventure in life, and it started a different kind of life.

"Amitabha, good, good, good!"

Seeing the changes in the monks around him, the Blue Lion Arhat was also filled with joy.

He believed that as Su Wen's teachings deepened, more people would be cleansed by Buddhism and undergo earth-shaking changes.

"Amitabha, Sajia has realized...'Pass one lamp to all the lamps, and eventually all the lamps will shine...' This is the principle by which the Buddha saves all living beings and all living beings become Buddhas."

The Silver Arhat sighed faintly: "I have attained the Tao."

His body bloomed with brilliance, and the silver light transformed into jade-colored brilliance. In an instant, he attained the status of a Bodhisattva.
