Chapter 126 What scripture is this?

"Xiang Buddha, please take a seat. I will wait for my disciples to discuss the Dharma with this great monk of the Tang Dynasty."

The abbot and the elder bowed to the Elephant Buddha, and the monks in the temple also quickly bowed down and said: "Greetings to the Elephant Buddha."

Just like they trusted Master Tripitaka just now, now when they see the director of this court calling him "Xiang Buddha", it is naturally correct.

They all realized at this moment that it looks like a Buddha, looks like a Buddha, isn't that what it should look like with an elephant head and a human body?

Many devout monks could not help but cry with joy because the elephant Buddha had not appeared for a long time, causing constant gossip from the outside world. In addition, the king had previously closed the temple, and if the royal incense had not been left, it would have almost destroyed their faith.

Now that I see the real body of Xiang Buddha, I can't hide my excitement.

Master Sanzang watched clearly from the side. When he saw these monks and the immortal Buddha who worshiped in his home, he felt empathy from the bottom of his heart... For some reason, he suddenly thought of the scene at Guanyin Temple that day.

.

How different are the actions of the abbots and elders of the two houses?

If you look at it this way, as long as you have good intentions in your heart, it does not depend on whether the Buddha statue you worship is true or false.

Master Sanzang had seen it clearly last night, and he naturally knew what the Dharma cultivation of the abbot and elder was, but at this moment, seeing that he dared to appoint someone and really wanted to protect the fate of this little elephant, he couldn't help but feel emotional.

The little elephant originally wanted to say some harsh words, but now that he saw the monks bowing to him, he also put on airs and told the abbot and elder: "Just let you discuss the Dharma with him, and I will take charge of the formation for you."

, help you win!"

"Listen." Just when Little Elephant was about to sit down and watch the ceremony, he seemed to still feel uneasy. He looked around Master Tripitaka and his entourage, especially at his several ferocious-looking disciples, and said, "What if it's just a moment?"

If you lose, don't admit it. If you take advantage of the large number of people and try to be arrogant and bully my old abbot... Humph, don't blame me for being tough!"

When the great sage and others heard what the little elephant said, they felt it was funny in their hearts. They thought that although he was a fake Buddha, he was a bit arrogant, but he still had some loyalty.

It's much more interesting than the vicious monsters I met before.

Think of the black bear spirit, who wants to achieve righteousness, but his heart is black. He only wants to snatch the cassock, but also wants to go to the death place of the abbot and abbot of Guanyin Temple. The yellow wind rat learned from listening to the Buddha at the foot of Lingshan Mountain.

Isn’t it true that Tao’s spirit rats cannibalize humans?

On the contrary, this little elephant, who had been sealed in this golden body for a hundred years and had been a false Buddha for two hundred years, revealed his true nature.

The Great Sacred Heart said: Regarding this point, if you have a conflict with Master later, I, Sun, will also ask for a favor for you.

The king looked at the elephant Buddha and said to himself: He is not a ferocious demon Buddha. How can he ask me for sacrifices of boys and girls?

The abbot elder set up incense eucalyptus, and all the monks first worshiped the Tathagata together under his leadership, and then spread out the Dharma field and laid out two futons.

"please."

The abbot invited Master Tripitaka to take a seat.

"please."

Fahai also invited.

After the two parties took their seats and worshiped each other, the abbot and the elder said, "Please give me some advice from the Master."

Again, he didn't know the details of Master Tripitaka, but he understood his own position. Instead of revealing the details first, it would be better for him to take a look at Master Tripitaka's Dharma first, so that he could deal with it better.

Fa Hai thought for a while and said: "The merits of the Tathagata, if all the Buddhas in the ten directions, can't be described in the sutras, they can be continued for as long as the dust in the Buddha land, and they can't be exhausted! If you want to achieve this door of merits, you should practice ten kinds of

How many great wishes are ten?"

This is an introductory question.

The abbot and the elder did not know the depth of Fahai, but Fahai had found out their details last night. This time it did not seem like they were talking about Buddhism, but rather like they were preaching scriptures.

There are very few Buddhist scriptures in Baoxiang Buddhist Temple, and even fewer complete Buddhist scriptures.

What he is talking about at this moment is taken from the "Practice of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's Vows to Enter the Unthinkable Realm of Liberation" in the "Dafan Guangfo Lotus Sutra". The reason why he wants to use this sutra as a discussion is actually because this little elephant is

The son of the White Elephant with Spirit Teeth under the seat of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva can also be regarded as a fate.

After all, the Buddhist sutras in Fahai's mind are all-encompassing. Mahayana and Hinayana Tantric Buddhism can be said to be the best of all schools. In addition, even Bodhisattvas recognize him as the golden cicada to revive the true spirit, so these Mahayana Buddhist teachings are not necessary.

Deliberately concealed.

The abbot was silent, this scripture... he didn't know.

Seeing that the abbot and the elder were silent, the little elephant couldn't find anything after thinking about it carefully. He said above: "What kind of scripture is this? Why haven't you heard it?"

He had worked hard yesterday and had read the scriptures in the temple overnight.

Fahai spoke slowly: "Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's vows."

hiss--

The little elephant took a deep breath, and now he really lost his strength.

When he and Fa Hai looked at each other, he was completely unconfident. Could it be that his heel and legs had already been seen through... Otherwise, why did the great monk of the Tang Dynasty choose this one if he didn't choose from so many scriptures?

Doesn't this point to yourself?

The little elephant thought like this, and seemed to have seen the answer in Fahai's eyes. He saw words like "Yes, the poor monk has seen the true form of this monster like you" from those bright eyes like stars.

.

If his body hadn't transformed so far, he wouldn't even be able to help but transform into his original shape under his gaze!

oops!

Is he really a divine monk?!

Little Elephant's whole body couldn't help but tremble slightly. He didn't know what would happen to him in the future. Will he be exposed in front of the Bodhisattva and stop thinking about achieving enlightenment?

But he had been banned for two hundred years, and he was about to succeed... He even regretted it at this moment, regretting why he had to deal with the king at that time.

It was all because of one wrong thought that he personally ruined his future, and now he has provoked an eminent monk from the Tang Dynasty...

When he looked at Master Tripitaka again, his eyes seemed to be filled with pleading, wanting to ask the Tang Dynasty divine monk to let him live.

The abbot elder seemed to have a new sense of consciousness. He saw the fear in the eyes of the "little elephant" and said in his heart: His guess was indeed right. This little elephant is just a spirit enjoying incense here, not a real Buddha.

This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content! At this moment, I saw him looking so horrified when he heard "Samantabhadra", and suddenly I thought that I had seen it in an orphan book, Samantabhadra.

The Bodhisattva appears riding a white elephant...

There is already some clarity and relaxation in my heart, but there is also some reluctance in my heart.

What makes him relaxed is that after all, the "Elephant Buddha" he has worshiped all his life is a Bodhisattva mount, not a monster.

The regret is that if his identity is exposed, his future may be uncertain. Although the "Baoxiang Buddhist Sutra" he recited is false, he has lived for more than seventy years, so the truth is clear.

Taking the body of a demon and using the name of a true Buddha to make people feel incense... I'm afraid it's not something that can be solved with simple punishment.

"Alas -" the abbot sighed and said: "Although this poor monk has never learned this sutra, he still has some superficial knowledge. If there are those who make great vows: the first is to respect, the second is to practice, the third is to practice, and the fourth is to repent.

, five..."

The abbot seemed a little unable to speak, and Fahai asked: "If you respect one person, why should you respect me?"

The abbot thought for a moment and said, "Respect the Buddha."

Fahai said deliberately: "Only respect the Buddha? Is heaven and earth respectable? Are all living beings respectable? Are you and I respectable?"

The abbot was stunned for a moment, as if he wanted to get some proof from what he had learned, but then he heard Master Tripitaka smile and say, "Samantabhadra Bodhisattva said, first, pay homage to all Buddhas."

The abbot's eyes lit up, but before he could feel happy, he heard Master Tripitaka continue to say: "Saluting is not reverence, but a heart of reverence, which spreads throughout the body and mouth, and worships. That is to meditate in the mind, worship with the body, and recite everything with the mouth.

Those whom you respect."

The so-called Buddha and rituals are numerous and endless. There are Buddhas in all worlds. The heaven and earth are Buddhas, all living beings are Buddhas, and you and I are Buddhas. All dharmas have no birth, and all dharmas have no death...

Fa Hai just thought about this last sentence in his mind and did not say it out loud. After all, these words were still difficult to digest for the abbot and elder in front of him.

The abbot had gained a great deal, but when he was realizing it, he heard Fahai ask him again: "Cultivation of the two, what is the purpose of cultivation?"

"Slimming?"

Fahai said again: "Samantabhadra Bodhisattva said: The three should practice extensively and make offerings."

The little elephant also saw that Master Sanzang did not cause trouble for him under the pleading with his eyes. Instead, he concentrated on discussing the Dharma with the presiding elder and listened attentively. At this moment, he saw that Fahai skipped two and went directly to speak three.

, there was a stabbing pain in his heart, and he couldn't help but ask: "Monk, what is the second one?"

Seeing that everyone was looking at him, the little elephant shook his nose and said, "Can't I ask?"

Yes, why not?

The abbot and the elder simply bowed to Fahai and said sincerely: "Please, the holy monk will not hesitate to teach the Dharma."

Seeing this, the monks also bowed down one after another: "Please ask the sacred monk to teach the Dharma——"

Fahai glanced at the little elephant, and the little elephant's heart trembled, so I didn't need to talk any more.

He looked at the kneeling monks again, and naturally knew how important what this holy monk was saying was to them.

In fact, last night, the abbot and the elder had already made it clear to him, saying that there was little chance of winning today. The main reason was that their "Baoxiang Buddhist Sutra" had 200 years of foundation, and it was indeed a fake Buddhist sutra. The Tang Dynasty only established the country.

Thirty years, but the land of China may really have a legacy.

When he heard Samantabhadra Bodhisattva just now, he already knew that something was wrong, but he was just lucky, but now he can't pretend anymore.

This time there was no escape. The little elephant sighed in his heart and said: "Just ask the holy monk to teach you the Dharma. I am willing to let it go -"

"good."

Fa Hai nodded in agreement without waiting for the little elephant to finish. He had no intention of using this to coerce the little elephant into submission. He just subconsciously probed his character again...

"Amitabha." Fa Hai stopped talking and finished speaking in one breath, "What are the ten? The first is to pay respect to all Buddhas. The second is to praise the Tathagata. The third is to practice extensively and make offerings. The fourth is to repent of karma. The fifth is

, Rejoice in the merits. The sixth one, please turn the Dharma. The seventh one, ask the Buddha to live in the world. The eighth one, always follow Buddhism. The ninth one, always be obedient to all living beings. The tenth one, universally dedicate it."

Then he explained and elaborated one by one. During this period, he did not include his own special views on the ten major vows, but simply stated their connotations.

Even so, everyone present was mesmerized.

This is all due to Fahai's profound Dharma, which can often use the most concise words to describe the profound meaning contained in it.

The abbot and the abbot burst into tears for a moment. He had practiced Buddhism all his life, but he never imagined that he would be able to listen to the wonderful voice of the Holy Buddha when he was about to die.

"Moo——"

The baby elephant couldn't help but make his original sound, which attracted everyone's attention.

This is the end of an article about Samantabhadra's vows. Fahai looked at the little elephant and said: "Elephant Buddha——"

"The holy monk is trying to kill me!" the little elephant dared not to shout.
