Neither Fahai nor the few disciples under his current sect are interested in the dispute between Buddhism and Taoism.
The two religions seem to coexist in the three realms, but in fact, there is no Buddha in Shenzhou in the east, and there is little practice in Hezhou in the west.
The remaining one, Luzhou in Beiju, is a gathering place for the demon clan. How many gods and Buddhas will go there to preach? It’s just Emperor Zhenwu leading troops to sweep away the demons from time to time, and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva traveling to the north.
Ju Luzhou can be crossed one by one.
The Nanfan continent is even more mixed in people, especially the people of the Central Plains who have inherited it from generation to generation since the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors. They respect their ancestors more than heaven and even more than immortals and Buddhas.
As for the gods they worship, they all worship them themselves.
Not to mention the inheritance of hundreds of schools of thought since the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Although Dong Zhongshu deposed all schools of thought and only respected Confucianism, the inheritance of hundreds of schools of thought has not been cut off, especially the military strategists and legalists, who played an important role in all dynasties.
There are also Mohist disciples who specialize in Jianghu knights, and they should not be underestimated.
Fahai was born in Nanfangbu continent, so he knew very well what kind of disaster would happen when fighting for the orthodoxy of a dynasty.
Rivers of blood flowed at every turn, and disasters befell every household.
Whether it is Buddha or Tao when they are preached in the world, they always show their most glorious side, while the unspeakable ugliness is hidden in the shadow behind the golden body of the statue.
In fact, Fa Hai is more willing to believe that whether it is Buddhism or Taoism, their essence should be what they are preached to the world, either to persuade people to do good and to achieve enlightenment; or to become immortals and be free and easy.
The reason why those dirty tricks appear is because there is something wrong with those who practice Buddhism and preach Buddhism, and because people with ulterior motives use the name of promoting Buddhism and Taoism to achieve their own goals.
The most common way is to use incense to make money.
Buddha talks about fate, what is fate?
With just a hint, the ignorant people of the world will take it for granted that yellow and white things are fate.
It is simply a disgrace to Buddhism.
Some Taoist priests who have insufficient spiritual practice will also offer elixirs to high-ranking officials for the sake of wealth, saying that it is a magical method of immortality, and even worship the emperor directly.
Don't they know that, except for the Emperor Ziwei, whoever becomes a king under the shining star of Ziwei will not be able to live forever?
Fahai looked at this temple, which was just outside the imperial city. Only the traces left behind, he could also see the many palaces. In terms of the vast area, it was not even under the Wuzhuang Temple of Zhenyuan Immortal.
But who is Zhenyuan Immortal?
Which Bodhisattva is enshrined in the nameless Buddhist temple here?
The golden body has been destroyed for more than 20 years, but no karma has appeared. From this, we can make some calculations, and it is nothing more than: the worshiper is not sincere, and the one who protects does not show his karma.
Since entering the territory of Chechi Kingdom, we can see many dilapidated temples along the way. Just now, the Great Sage also filled the territory of Chechi Kingdom with somersault clouds. He came back and told Fahai: "Master, there are a total of twenty-seven large and small temples in the country. Apart from them,
Zhiyuan Temple was built in the city because it contained the shrine of the founding ancestor of the country, so one room was left for the rest of the Buddhist temple, and all were demolished without leaving any room."
"Amitabha." Fahai recited the Buddha's name. The Chechi Kingdom was not that big. It was equivalent to the territory of the Tang Dynasty, and was not even as large as one Neiluzhou County.
Even in this area, there are twenty-seven Buddhist temples, which shows that it was also a place where Buddhism was promoted.
Here comes the problem.
All twenty-seven Buddhist temples were destroyed. Even if those three national masters came from the Sanqing sect, should the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the Buddhist sect really be invisible?
You can’t say that this is also a difficulty specifically set up for pilgrims on their journey to seek scriptures, right?
We were prepared for this difficulty twenty years ago?
Or is it that there are some problems with these Buddhist temples? None of them have any spiritual manifestations.
"Master." Seeing that Master was getting more and more embarrassed, the Great Sage stepped forward and said, "Master, why don't I make a change and go explore among those monks and see what they have to say?"
Bajie also came up with an idea and said: "Elder brother, when you go, you might as well become a Taoist priest who comes from afar. The monks will not dare to deceive you when they see that you are a Taoist priest, and they know that you are from afar."
, maybe it’s not necessarily a bit close.”
Junior Brother Sha was also on hand to give advice: "Senior Brother, since you want to become a Taoist priest, why not go directly to the city to see the true forms of the three great immortals, and see if they are enlightened Taoists or demons causing trouble."
Fa Hai also said at the side: "What Wu Jing said makes sense. Wukong is originally from a Taoist sect, and he was taught by Immortal Zhenyuan. It is easier to dress up as a Taoist priest than to chant Buddha's name."
When the Great Sage saw that Master had agreed, he also wanted to show off his magical powers and show off his abilities in front of everyone. He suddenly transformed into a wandering Yunshui Quanzhen, with a water and fire basket hanging on his left arm, and banging it with his hand.
Yugu, muttered words, as if to say: Taishang Laojun slowly follows the law, and the Great God Qitian quickly shows his magical powers.
Everyone saw that the Great Sage was having fun, so Bajie directly picked up the long beard from under the Great Sage's chin and said: "Brother Monkey, why does your beard feel like monkey hair?"
"Go! Go! Go--"
The Great Sage threw Bajie aside, stretched out his hand to bow to everyone, and said: "Immeasurable Heavenly Lord, poor Taoists are polite."
Then, the Great Sage took two steps in place, but he still looked like a naughty and slovenly old man.
"Stand up your chest and raise your head, and stop your frivolous steps." Fahai couldn't help but point out, "If you don't have an image in your mind, it's better to think about the appearance of the Great Immortal Zhenyuan."
The great sage thought for a moment and pondered for a moment. When he started again, he immediately straightened his figure, with an air of immortality, which made people know that he was a free and true immortal.
"Master, disciple, come as soon as you go -"
The Great Sage left the temple and was walking forward when he saw a down-and-out Confucian scholar, who was about to enter the temple holding an old book with two words written on it: The Analects of Confucius.
"Master Taoist, please go slowly."
The Confucian scholar stopped the Great Sage.
The great sage stopped and looked at his true form with his fiery eyes. After looking at him for a long time, he saw that he was just an ordinary person and asked, "What's the matter, sir?"
"It was getting late, and Xiaosheng wanted to spend the night here. When he saw the Taoist priest coming out of it, he knew that the Taoist priest was one step ahead of me, so I asked for a convenience."
This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! "Convenient, convenient." The Great Sage smiled and said: "But there is still a group of masters, disciples, and monks in this abandoned temple. Two of them don't look easy to mess with, and one is long.
A fool with a big nose or a cold-faced bearded villain. You should avoid them when you go in."
"Thanks for the advice."
The poor Confucian scholar had just entered the ruined temple, and the Great Sage turned to leave, but saw a knight carrying a long sword coming up the mountain. The Great Sage said: Strange thing, why are so many people here?
The Great Sage looked at him again and saw that he was not a monster. When he was about to say a few words to him, unexpectedly, the man ignored him and without even looking at him, he passed by him and went straight into the ruined temple.
No matter what they did, the Great Sage thought that he had a master to deal with them in the temple, so he jumped up and rode on the clouds towards the city.
In the temple.
Fahai and his disciples saw two people coming in one after another.
When the down-and-out Confucian scholar came in, he seemed to be frightened when he saw Bajie and Wujing's appearance, but soon showed a real look on his face. He held the old book in his hand and muttered: "You are not saying anything, but you are so powerful and so powerful that you are confused -"
"
When the knight who came in later saw Bajie's appearance, he called the sword from his back into his hand with a clang. But when he saw Master Tripitaka, he put the sword away again, cupped his hand, and said, "Meng Lang."
These two people seemed normal, but in Fahai's view, these two people were extremely abnormal.
Fahai secretly watched with the Ksitigarbha Dharma Eyes, and what he saw were two ordinary people. He didn't find anything unusual at all, which made him even more doubtful.
It looks like a Confucian scholar holding the Analects of Confucius and a knight-errant who travels all over the world. But who are they? Did they come here specifically to entertain themselves?
The ruined temple was obviously huge, and apart from the area occupied by their master and disciple, there were at least seven or eight places where they could stay, but these two people chose to come here.
Fa Hai secretly calculated in his heart: How many people in the Three Realms can perform changes without being able to see them?
He calculated silently in his mind for a while, and found out that they were indeed quite a few, so he temporarily suppressed the idea of guessing their true identities, but he never let go of his vigilance. The three parties each live in the same place, and they have no intention of contacting each other at the moment, but their eyes have already crossed each other.
.
Maybe the knight couldn't sit still, so after a while he got up, punched in the courtyard, kicked his legs again, and finally pulled out his sword and started dancing with it.
When the scholar saw this, he unfolded the Analects in his hand and began to recite loudly: "The Master said: Isn't it just right to learn and practice it from time to time? Isn't it a pleasure to have friends come from afar? A person who doesn't know but is stunned is not a gentleman.
Huh?"
Perhaps the knight was tired of listening to the scholar reading, so he stopped and asked, "What is the use of your reading?"
"At a small level, you can understand reason, know etiquette, and decide between right and wrong." The Confucian scholar responded: "At a large level, you can organize your family, govern the country, and bring peace to the world."
"Hehehehe." The knight smiled and said: "This method will not work in Xiniu Hezhou. People here worship gods and Buddhas to seek righteousness. For example, in Chechi Country, they worshiped Buddhas twenty years ago, but now they only
Asked. When you read this sutra, why not recite the Tao and recite the Buddha's name?"
"So Xiao Ke came here with this volume under the orders of his teacher, just to cultivate grammar here."
Let us say that when the Great Sage was approaching the city, he suddenly heard a shout, which was like the shouts of thousands of people. The Great Sage said in his heart: This kind of sound is like the earth cracking and mountains collapsing, or like thunder and thunder.
When he took a closer look, he saw an open space on the beach outside the city gate. There were many monks gathered together. They were playing trumpets and shouting "Mighty King Bodhisattva" together, pulling the cart forward. The cart was loaded with
They were all made of bricks, tiles, wood, adobe, etc. These monks just shouted this number to pull the cart, which was very difficult.
Maybe when I came here for the first time, I, my old man, had his head high and he was only looking at the Buddhist temple. He didn't even see such a scene outside the city.
The Great Sage was just about to land on the ground and go forward, but he saw two young Taoist priests swaying out of the city gate. They were wearing star crowns and brocades, and those monks who were dressed in blue and looked embarrassed.
The contrast is sharp.
The Great Sage had something in mind, so he pressed the cloud head directly and landed in front of the two of them.
"The poor Taoist judge his head."
The two young Taoist priests returned the courtesy and said, "Taoist master, you are right. I don't know where you came from and where you are going?"
