Chapter 426: Are treasures like this common in the spiritual world?

The generals of the Tang Dynasty were "full of martial virtue", especially the veterans who had been fighting on the battlefield all their lives. They had always been dismissive of the Buddhist practices.

If you worship Buddha every day, can you defeat this country?

Can you pray to Buddha and Bodhisattva before going out to protect yourself from death?

It's all bullshit.

I won’t mention it when the Central Plains is fighting for the world.

During the expedition against the Turks, how did the generals improve the morale of the soldiers below?

Just four words - Guangzong Yaozu.

Those who returned victoriously were heroes of the Tang Dynasty; even if they died gloriously in battle, their names would be recorded in the county annals.

If you can make great achievements, your name will probably be mentioned on the front page, and it will be the first incense when you go to the hometown to worship your ancestors.

Of course, these are all spiritual encouragements, and the most important thing is the money spent.

The generals of the Tang Dynasty were not against the entire Buddhist sect. Naturally, they had great respect for such truly eminent monks as Master Tripitaka. Apart from anything else, he only said that Master Tripitaka walked hundreds of thousands of miles to go to the West.

Their firm determination to learn the scriptures cannot be enough for them to admire.

This thing sounds difficult, but it is even more difficult to do.

Those monsters blocking the road, even if they are generals who have been fighting for a lifetime, they may not be able to match them if they encounter them single-handedly.

As for Master Sanzang's deeds of slaying demons, punishing evil and promoting good, they all learned about it from His Majesty.

His Majesty is very concerned about this imperial younger brother, so he often shares the news from Xizhou with his ministers. Those who are interested have begun to figure out the emperor's heart.

The younger generals thought that this was an opportunity. Master Tripitaka was like a living map. After he came back, Datang would have a topographic map that stretched almost as far as the east and west lines of Xizhou. If he wanted to make meritorious deeds, he would have to be here in the future.

But those who are older can infer from His Majesty's attitude towards Baoxiang, Wuji and other countries that after His Majesty pacified Goguryeo and took over Tibet and Uzbekistan, his pioneering spirit has been sharply reduced.

Especially now that he is wholeheartedly cultivating the prince, it can be seen that His Majesty cannot easily afford to conquer the outside world.

Therefore, Wang Xuance was reused externally, and Xue Rengui, who was originally leading the army, was transferred back to let him refine the black armor cavalry and sent the Shence army into the rivers and lakes to start exploring the whereabouts of the demons in the Tang Dynasty.

When Lu Guogong first heard the news, he said that he could still fight. He was obsessed with asking for a job of subduing demons from His Majesty.

But Li Shimin disagreed and only said: "Lu Guogong is already old. He should enjoy the happiness of his family at home. Why should he fight and kill again?"

After that, he also sent two Buddhist scriptures to let him read more in order to resolve the murderous aura that had accumulated over the years.

Of course Lao Cheng didn't want to read it, but his wife knew about it and said, "Since it is His Majesty's command, you must read it even if you don't read it, otherwise you will be disobeying the decree and disrespecting it."

Lao Cheng said at that time: "Your Majesty doesn't know whether I saw it or not?"

"I know." The Duke's wife paused, and then said: "It's not that you don't know that since the 16th year of Zhenguan, the empress has been seriously ill. Fortunately, she was rejuvenated by the miracle doctor Sun and was able to save her body. From now on, the empress will be more considerate.

I have been ordered to call you into the palace from time to time to ask the imperial physician to diagnose your pulse. If you occasionally ask for your pulse, I will not cover it for you."

It is precisely because of this section that most of Lu Guogong's murderous aura was probably transferred to these two Buddhist scriptures.

From another perspective, maybe it can be regarded as an alternative solution?

It is better to have an outlet to vent than to hold it in your heart.

But the bridge was finally closed.

When he said these words at this moment, firstly, he had always shown such a "foolish" image; secondly, he really blurted out the words in excitement after listening to the words of the great sage.

In fact, I felt a little regretful after saying this. After all, it was not polite to say such slanderous words about the Buddha in front of Master Tripitaka, His Majesty and all his colleagues.

Just when he was about to say something to make up for it, he heard the great sage shouting, "What the old man said makes sense!"

well?

Lu Guogong was stunned for a moment, and then heard the great sage continue to say: "My old grandson thought the same way at the time."

"How dare you slander the Buddha like this, you monkey?" Fahai on the side seemed to be scolding him seriously, but in fact he just said some innocuous remarks and even handed the words to the great sage.

The Great Sage followed the Master's words and explained: "Master, who is this old man, Buddha? How can he have the same knowledge as me, my grandson? If he is really as my grandson and the old man said, he is just pretending to be noble because of his image.

That means the disciple is right about him; but if he is really a disciple with a small belly and a small heart, he will judge the gentleman's belly with a small heart. It means that the disciple has not practiced enough and cannot understand the realm of the Buddha. He should practice seriously in the future. I want to be as compassionate as the Buddha.

, I won’t care about ordinary people like us.”

The implication of the Great Sage's words was understood by everyone present.

For a moment, I felt that this Buddhist realm in Lingshan was no different from this mundane world.

The words used to persuade people are quite similar to how they persuaded the emperor to be a wise king and to be magnanimous. It is not very similar to the way they usually look at the ministers who offended His Majesty because of their sometimes reckless behavior.

Li Shimin felt a little happy after hearing this, and also echoed: "The reason why Buddha is Buddha must have a realm that ordinary people cannot reach. Even so, after Brother Wang returns home, he should pay homage in front of Buddha.

"

Everyone was still wondering who Li Shimin was calling Brother Wang.

"Hi!"

But I saw Lu Guogong yelling strangely over there, and then he stepped out of the crowd. He quickly pulled off his official uniform and shouted: "Your Majesty, Lao Cheng will go home and farm right now."

Only then did everyone realize that this call from Brother Wang was actually calling Duke Lu.

Regarding this "Brother Wang", those who didn't know the meaning were naturally confused, but now was not the time to ask, so they had to keep it in their hearts.

But the veterans who knew the whole story, especially those from Wagang, all smiled knowingly.

During the Wagangzhai uprising, our Lu Guogong also served as the virtuous emperor for a period of time.

This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content! When I met Li Shimin, who was still the King of Qin at the battlefield, he chased several mountains with his Xuanhua axe. It was the King of Qin who was hiding in Laojun

In the temple, all the temple doors were knocked down by Lu Guogong's axe.

Later, when Wagang was defeated, Cheng Yaojin returned to the Tang Dynasty. Li Shimin jokingly called him "Brother Wang" because he was a child's play at that time.

The call came to ascend the throne.

Then, the name was gradually changed.

But in private, he would occasionally mention it to "tease" this loyal and generous general.

Now it was mentioned in the main hall. His Majesty must have been afraid that Duke Lu's words would really "evil" the Buddha, so he did it intentionally.

Regardless of whether it was useful or not, Li Shimin made his attitude clear.

Sanzang is my imperial brother, and Lu Guogong is my royal brother.

When my brother went to fetch Buddhist scriptures, although he was sent by me, he was also invited by the Bodhisattva from Lingshan Mountain. I won’t mention the personnel matters he asked for;

But now that my brother Wang has criticized you, you can't be angry.

"Amitabha." Fahai recited the Buddha's name. As for seeing through but not telling, Fahai just stretched out his hand to stop Lu Guogong, who was walking quickly out.

Lu Guogong was born with brute force. Even if he didn't take the initiative to exert force, how could ordinary people stop him?

But this time, he seemed to have bumped into Qin Qiong's mace.

Huh?

Then secretly work hard, hiss——

Tap tap tap——

Duke Lu took a few steps back and curiously asked Master Tripitaka: "Is this kind of power the magic power of Buddhism?"

"It's not Buddhist magic power." Fa Hai shook his body, and an extremely pure power of human blood spurted out from his body.

This scene attracted many military generals to look sideways and secretly marvel.

"Ouch." Lu Guogong shouted again, "I almost forgot that the holy monk also has the inheritance of Xuanyuan Huangdi and Dayu."

Lu Guogong, who was still a little unfamiliar at first, suddenly became friendly with his smile.

Compared with the identity of a Buddhist eminent monk, the title "Successor of Xuanyuan" is obviously more recognized in the Tang Dynasty.

The main hall today.

It was natural that the Great Sage and Lu Guogong would not be serious when they were having such a quarrel. However, the return of the emperor's younger brother to the court was originally a happy event, and such a relaxed atmosphere seemed to be more cordial.

Both Li Shimin and the officials in the court were maintaining this transcendent atmosphere intentionally or unintentionally.

Duke Lu was persuaded to return to his seat by Master Tripitaka, and he shamelessly invited Master Tripitaka to his house as a guest. Although Lao Cheng did not like Buddhism, he was proficient in martial arts, and when he met a master like Master Tripitaka, he was naturally happy to see him.

Fahai did not refuse this. Although there were imperial doctors to regulate the bodies of these veteran generals, Fahai could see that there were still many hidden wounds hidden in the bodies of these generals. Although they were not life-threatening, they were absolutely harmful to the body.

It is burden and torture.

Perhaps from the perspective of ordinary Buddhist theory of cause and effect, this is because they caused too much evil on the battlefield, and these injuries are retribution.

But from the perspective of a Tang Dynasty person, these veterans have spent their whole lives fighting for the country on the battlefield, shouldn't they enjoy their old age?

The Tang Dynasty was fortunate to have ministers like them who sacrificed their lives and Emperor Taizong who trusted them enough.

And it’s okay not to mention Zhao Song.

The delay was too long, and soon it was getting late.

Li Shimin left Changsun Wuji, Li Ji, Cheng Yaojin and other old ministers behind, and also named Wang Xuance, Xue Rengui and other young important ministers not to leave. The remaining officials retired first and went back to their homes.

Those who stay and those who leave naturally have two different feelings in their hearts. These are inevitable and understandable things.

"I heard that when the kings of various countries entertain their imperial brothers, they always stay in the imperial garden." Li Shimin smiled and said, "But I don't know, how are the imperial gardens of other palaces better than mine?"

Then he led everyone to the Imperial Garden.

Before the great sage left, he did not forget to put all the scriptures in the main hall into a human race bag.

At this time, Li Ji on the side asked: "What kind of fairy magic weapon is this that has such an effect of collecting things?"

"Speaking of this magic weapon, it actually has a lot of history -" While on the way, the Great Sage told everyone about the story of subduing the yellow-browed monster in Xiaoxitian.

After hearing this, Li Shimin nodded repeatedly and said: "Sure enough, if it was something like this in the mountains, I wouldn't have received any news here. But I didn't expect that this human seed bag was actually the magic weapon of the Buddha from the East."

Li Ji whispered from the side: "Your Majesty, if we in the Tang Dynasty can imitate this treasure, we will no longer have to worry about food and grass when we march in the future."

As soon as these words came out, the emperor and his ministers immediately stopped in their tracks.

"It's a pity." The Great Sage also said: "Although this treasure is good, it belongs to the Buddha who came from the East. It is only temporarily lent to me. I am afraid that after his yellow-browed boy returns from the calamity, he will come to retrieve it.

"

Li Ji thought for a while and then asked the Great Sage for advice: "May I ask the Great Sage, are such treasures common in the world of spiritual practice?"

"Storage magic weapon." The Great Sage first confirmed the popular name of "this kind of magic weapon" to Li Ji, and then said: "This thing seems precious, but it is actually not uncommon. The gods in heaven, the Buddhas in Lingshan and

Almost everyone among the Bodhisattvas has one or two. Some of them are mostly in the shape of a kit, but also made into belts, bracelets, rings, gourds, jade purification bottles, etc. And this acquired human race bag is actually just for storage.

The most basic function. As for the world of cultivation, I really don’t know much about it. After all, after I returned from school, I have always dealt with people who are immortals. In the world of ordinary cultivation, I am really not familiar with it.”

"That's it." Li Ji bowed to the Great Sage: "Thank you, Great Sage, for your guidance."

How smart is the great sage?

Seeing him like this, you knew what he was thinking: "But you want to recruit some practitioners under your command?"

When Li Ji heard this, he looked at His Majesty first, and when he saw His Majesty nodding, he said: "We do have this plan, and we have already had some contact with some masters who practice in the Immortal Mountain."

"I heard that all the countries in the Western Continent are now recruiting practitioners. In Dongsheng Shenzhou, the cultivation sect is above the national dynasty." Li Shimin said solemnly: "If we, the Tang Dynasty, do not respond, I am afraid that we will be passive in the future."

"This is reasonable. But Your Majesty." The Great Sage reminded Li Shimin: "Since the Shang Dynasty in the Zhou Dynasty, most of the real practitioners have lived in seclusion in the mountains to practice, and few have entered the secular world, let alone become an official and engaged in business.

In the war between gods, they most avoid the cause and effect in the human world. Therefore, if there is anyone who talks shamelessly in front of Your Majesty, Your Majesty, please carefully distinguish the authenticity. If you cannot check, you can ask me, Old Sun, to watch."

The Great Sage knows very well that after this incident, there will probably be no obstacles to recruiting practitioners in the country.

Not all practitioners can endure the hardship. Some who are weak-willed will inevitably not be moved by this. Or they may have great ambitions and are not afraid of being contaminated by worldly karma.

Once there is a change in the ruling class, the corresponding problems will be truly reflected on the people's livelihood. After all, the Great Sage has followed the Master to recite sutras for fourteen years, so it is inevitable that he will become worried.

If it is not handled well, there may be constant setbacks.

And another topic arose in Fahai's mind: Should the world of spiritual practice be distinguished from the secular world?

Fortunately, he has achieved success in spiritual practice and does not have to worry about the short life. He can spend some time looking for answers.
