Chapter 440: Maitreya Buddha: Fortunately, the poor monk was born with a smile; the truth is only knowledge.

It was also the predecessors who paved the way, and the Buddhist teachings were already perfect. In addition, they learned from each other's strong points and compensated for their weaknesses. Even regardless of Buddhism, they did not let go of the essence of Confucianism and Taoism.

Otherwise, no matter how talented Fa Hai is, it will be difficult to create the "Consciousness Only Sect" out of thin air...

Although the "Consciousness Only Sect" is only an idea in Fahai's mind at the moment, and has not yet truly established a sect in the three realms, this is undoubtedly only a matter of time.

As soon as this debate on Buddhism in Lingshan is over, Fahai plans to return to Chang'an and establish the Taoist lineage of the Consciousness-Wei Sect in Ci'en Temple.

And we must learn lessons, not only to explore the true mystery of Buddhism, but also to base ourselves on sentient beings in the three realms.

Otherwise, no matter how exquisite and profound Buddhism is, if it cannot benefit the people, it will be like a castle in the air. Without a foundation, it will naturally not last long.

This is one of the reasons why Zen and Jing sects have always been able to flourish. It is because for all living beings in the three realms... learning these two Buddhist sects does not seem to require too profound Buddhist teachings. One talks about sudden enlightenment... and the other

Just recite the Buddha's name in your heart.

But those who are truly proficient in Buddhism will naturally know that the truth is not so superficial. The essence of the two schools of Zen and Purity is not as simple as it seems on the surface.

As for why it became like this when it spread to the human world, the reasons are quite complicated.

Either because of the ulterior motives of the preachers; or because of the innate laziness of sentient beings in the three realms; or because of the choices made by the Buddhist sect itself for the sake of incense...

But no matter what, this structure is still relatively reasonable. Ordinary people chant Buddha's name and do good deeds, and the study of Buddhism naturally has to be left to professionals.

After all, not everyone has such a high level of wisdom that they can make great achievements in studying Buddhism... For most people, it is very rare to understand the meaning of Buddhist scriptures.

Tripitaka's sentence "All things are governed by consciousness" also made the monks in the Mahavira Palace understand his position.

Pay attention to the law and be based on practice.

Tripitaka did this all the way to the west, so there were no surprises for anyone.

And this Consciousness Only of Ten Thousand Dharmas is originally the teaching of the Tianzhu Yujiaxing Sect, but the status of the monks of this sect in Lingshan is not high... After all, their founder is Maitreya.

And the Lord of Lingshan is Tathagata Buddha.

Maitreya is the great disciple of two saints in Western religions, so his talents needless to say. Since Lao Tzu turned into a beggar and established Mahayana Buddhism in Lingshan... the incarnation of the saint Zhunti, Uparatha Buddha, passed away, and Maitreya passed away.

He himself was not idle either.

Since it is inevitable that Mahayana teachings will replace Hinayana teachings...then if the Tathagata and the three great masters can deduce the Mahayana teachings, why shouldn't I, an authentic Buddhist sect, not do the same?

As the future Buddha, Maitreya Buddha is always smiling, and people often say that he has a big belly...but it seems that the talent and talent of this East-born Buddha are always ignored because of this.

After Maitreya Buddha heard this sentence "All dharmas are only known by consciousness", he sighed a little in his heart, and even subconsciously looked at Tathagata Buddha aside... He always felt that there was something strange.

Although Jin Chanzi was a bit rebellious in Lingshan back then...but compared to Sanzang today, he was still a step behind.

The Tathagata Buddha felt the gaze of Maitreya Buddha, turned his head and looked over, and saw the corners of Maitreya Buddha's mouth curled up, and his eyes narrowed into slits... For a moment, he didn't know what to say.

Amitabha.

Maitreya Buddha recited the Buddha's name in his heart. Fortunately, he was gifted with a smile, otherwise he would not be able to explain it even if he spoke thousands of words at this moment.

Ha ha ha ha--

The second disciple of Tathagata Buddha actually learned his own Mahayana Buddhism after reincarnation. Is there anything more joyful than this today?

Maitreya Buddha clasped his hands together, nodded slightly towards the Buddha, and then turned his attention to Sanzang, saying in his heart: Even Huang Meier has never seriously understood his own Mahayana Buddhism, but he did not expect to be recognized by you.

At this moment, Maitreya Buddha, who originally had no ill feelings toward Tripitaka, began to appreciate him more and more. He even thought that Tathagata Buddha made a very wise choice by letting Tripitaka take over Lingshan.

And compared to the scheming master Zhunti Saint, Maitreya's temperament is obviously more inclined to the teacher to guide the saint, and has the tendency to remain unchanged in response to all changes... Of course, in Maitreya's heart, he also regards the great development of the West as the top priority

event.

As a future Buddha, he naturally has to make plans for the "future".

And if Tripitaka can really take over Lingshan and become the new Buddha... the whole atmosphere of Buddhism will take on a completely new look.

There is no doubt about this.

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva also saw the subtle look between Tathagata Buddha and Maitreya Buddha... She was also a little surprised by this. Although Tripitaka had behaved like this all the way, this time he was in the main hall in front of the Buddha and the monks.

Speaking of this in person, Guanyin Bodhisattva couldn't help but sigh in his heart: Tripitaka is sincere, and a poor monk is no better!

The Great Sun Tathagata even smiled and said: "Unexpectedly, the Mahayana practiced by Sanzang actually received the true transmission from the east..."

The Peacock King Ming on the side also rarely agreed: "The Tripitaka comes from the Eastern Tang Dynasty."

The way Medicine Buddha looks at his senior brother Maitreya Buddha is also very different. The look in his eyes seems to say: Senior brother, when did you do this? You took Tripitaka into your family without any sound...even I don’t know?

Could it be that the yellow-browed boy and the monkey who went to your Maitreya Pure Land to block the door were just a cover-up to deceive others?

In fact, not to mention that Medicine Buddha didn't know about it, even Maitreya Buddha himself didn't know about it either. It was completely unexpected.

All I can say is that Tripitaka is indeed Tripitaka, he can always surprise people, and he never knows when he will bring surprises to people.

Because of the sentence "Consciousness is the only thing that governs all dharmas", the atmosphere in the Mahavira Hall was slightly condensed at this moment. Except for a few Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the rest of the monks couldn't help but hold their breath.

But Fahai himself was not shaken by this.

This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content! He does not care who the "Buddhism" he learned came from, as long as this "Buddhism" does not go astray in nature, then for

For Fahai, it is the best spiritual food.

What's more, even some "evil heretics" are not without merit in Fahai's view. No matter how bad they are, they can still be viewed with a dialectical mind.

As the saying goes, choose the good ones and follow them, and change the bad ones... That's exactly what it is.

As for whether he will be affected by this, Fahai thinks there shouldn't be any big problem. After all, even the great sage of the demon world will be horrified by his own demonic nature... Even if he learns wrongly or goes astray, he can still

Where is it crooked?

Originally it was just a discussion of Hinayana Buddhism, but later it led to the saying of Tripitaka that "all things are governed by consciousness".

At this time, only Maitreya Buddha wanted to know the follow-up the most, so after guiding the Buddha back to his seat, he walked down the lotus platform with a smile, came to Sanzang, and said with a smile: "The yellow eyebrows of my sect are naughty, and they are blocking Xiao Xitian.

..But it caused you a lot of trouble?"

Fahai took a few deep breaths and then slowly said: "King Huangmei is not really a problem... It's just that the young monk thought that sending Huangmei into reincarnation would trigger the Buddha to take action. The trouble should be with the Buddha...

I just didn’t expect that even if Wukong was sent to visit that day, the Buddha would still avoid seeing him.”

After hearing Tripitaka's bold words, the monks in the main hall seemed to have become accustomed to it.

Just now he said that he had learned the Dharma of Maitreya Buddha, but this last step shows that he used the yellow-browed boy as bait to catch Maitreya Buddha...

Lingji Bodhisattva, who almost became a "victim", saw this scene and sighed in his heart: As expected of you, Tang Sanzang!

Even because of this sentence, his frustrated heart suddenly calmed down a lot.

Fahai was not a smooth person at first. The reason why he seemed kind sometimes was because he temporarily tempered his sharp edges when facing ordinary sentient beings.

And in this majestic palace, Fahai's true nature was gradually released.

Perhaps it was Jin Chanzi's "rebellion" that came first and preconceptions... Even if "Sanzang" was a little unruly, no one would find it strange.

On the contrary, I still feel that "Golden Chanzi" has gone through ten reincarnations and has a very restrained temper. Now he only said a few things, but in the past, he didn't know what trouble he was going to cause.

"Huang Mei went down to earth secretly and has already suffered retribution. This is his fate." Maitreya Buddha said to Sanzang: "As for why the poor monk avoids you master and disciple... maybe it is because he is afraid of trouble, and even more afraid of becoming trouble.

."

Maitreya Buddha is also very magnanimous, just like his appearance with his breasts exposed.

"Before, you discussed the Hinayana teachings with the Buddha Jie Yin..." Maitreya looked at Sanzang and asked, "Now are you willing to discuss the Mahayana teachings with the poor monk?"

"please--!"

Studying Buddhism is the original intention of Sanzang to go to Lingshan again. Besides, if you can study Buddhism with Maitreya Buddha, why not do it?

The Consciousness Only Sect was originally inspired by the Yuga Sect of Maitreya Buddha.

Similar, but never the same.

Maitreya Buddha stretched out his hand, spread his fingers, and made a five sign in front of Sanzang.

Fahai returned the gesture with a "three".

When Bajie saw this scene, he was confused and asked Wu Jing beside him: "Junior Brother Sha, what are Master and Maitreya Buddha doing... What do those two gestures mean?"

Wu Jing, who is proficient in various Buddhist sects, immediately explained with a smile: "Second senior brother, I don't know something. What the master just said, 'All dharma is only consciousness', is one of the teachings of the Yujia Sect of Buddhism, and the first ancestor of the Yujia Sect,

That is Maitreya Buddha."

"Now that Maitreya Buddha and Master are going to discuss Mahayana Buddhism, they should start with the Yugaxing sect." Wujing also opened his hand and stretched out five fingers, "In my humble opinion, the name Maitreya Buddha may be

Represents one of the other teachings of the Yogacara Sect - the Five Dharmas."

"I also know these Five Pharaoh Pigs." After hearing what Junior Brother Sha said, Bajie also nodded and said, "The so-called Five Dharmas are the collection of all Dharmas in the world and beyond. One is called Name, the other is called Appearance.

The third is called distinction, the fourth is called correct wisdom, and the fifth is called Ruru.”

After saying that, Bajie puffed up his chest and seemed to be saying, Old Zhu, I am not inexperienced. I followed the master all the way west and learned a lot of real things.

Bajie didn't wait for Junior Brother Sha to continue speaking, so he directly said, "Presumably the three fingers that Master extended are the three self-natures, right?"

"Of course!"

The five dharmas and three self-natures are another important teaching of Yuga Sect. In addition, there are eight consciousnesses and two no-self... which form the general outline, with the purpose of turning consciousness into wisdom and turning to reliance.

After Maitreya Buddha and Tripitaka each made a few more gestures, they began to discuss each one based on this.

Most of the time, Maitreya Buddha opened his mouth to ask questions, and Tripitaka explained.

The monks in Lingshan were obviously not very proficient in the "Consciousness-Only Theory" before. The vast majority of the monks probably only understood it at best, and some even only heard the name and had never understood its content.

focus on.

Of course, this is also a normal phenomenon.

The reason why Maitreya Buddha inquired in detail was to take advantage of this opportunity to show the Mahayana Buddhism of the "Yogaya Sect" to the monks in Lingshan. Fahai was willing to cooperate because he wanted to take this opportunity to export "Only One" to the monks in Lingshan.

The connotation of "knowing the sect" will pave the way for establishing a sect in the future.

Therefore, when Fahai described the doctrinal propositions of the "Yuga Sect", he interspersed the "Three Nature Theory", "Five Levels of Viewing Dharma" and "Yinming Theory" of the Consciousness-Only Sect. After the lecture, Fahai

Hai also used this to put forward the theory that "the truth is only consciousness" and invited the Buddhas in Lingshan to argue.

So far.

Guanyin Bodhisattva, who was still thinking about the "Consciousness Only Theory", suddenly realized that this was the true intention of Tripitaka.

This Tang Tripitaka really wants to subdue the monks in Lingshan Mountain through Buddhism!

Not long after——

The door of the Mahavira Palace, which was originally closed, slowly opened.

Jiaye and Anuo, who were guarding the door, stood up quickly. When they were about to enter, they saw the Buddha sending a Dharma post in front of them. Then they heard the Buddha's words: "Sanzang has made an argument and invited the monks in Lingshan to debate it. The argument can be broken."

Then, enter the main hall."

After that, the Dharma post turned into thousands of clones and scattered all over Lingshan Mountain.

Jia Ye and A Nuo looked at one picture together and saw that it said:——

"Zong: The truth is so perfect that it is inseparable from visual awareness:

Because: Since I took the photo on the third day of the lunar month, I couldn’t take it with my eyes;

Metaphor: Like eye consciousness."

Disaster.

Difficult to see at first glance.

Not to mention breaking the theory, even if you want to understand the connotation of Master Tripitaka's theory, it is already extremely difficult.

This question cannot be discussed by any eminent monk who is not an expert in Buddhism.

Jia Ye and A Nuo looked at each other. They had a good understanding of each other, but they did not see any embarrassment in each other's eyes. Instead, they saw a little bit of joy...

Such emotions are not due to other reasons. It is because of this "topic" that they can justifiably refuse to enter the Mahavira Hall...Buddha, it's not that we two brothers will not go back, it is actually the two of us who are Buddhists.

Being humble cannot defeat Master Tripitaka's thesis.

The success of this theory is still based on the "Consciousness Only Theory".

In addition to "all dharmas are only consciousness", there are also five dharmas, which are divided into five categories: mental dharmas, mental dharmas, physical dharmas, non-corresponding dharma, and unconditioned dharmas. All five of them are not separated from consciousness, that is, consciousness only.

What appears.

In the Mahavira Hall, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have begun to debate the Dharma with Tripitaka.

Among them, ten Bodhisattvas including the Bodhisattva of the Pure Sea, the Medicine King Bodhisattva, the Precious Victory Bodhisattva, and the Great Power Bodhisattva first came out of the group. Later, four Buddhas including the Flower of Merit, the Sandalwood Buddha, the Guangjuyan Buddha, and the Sumeru Light Buddha came to attend.

They argued, but in the end they were defeated and resigned to the defeat.
