Chapter 446: All living beings in the three realms are the true scripture; they are demoted to the human world to suffer

The Sea of Dharma Crosses the Tang Sanzang Text Volume Chapter 446: Beings in the Three Realms are the True Sutra; after being banished to the human world and suffering many battles, the abilities of Tripitaka’s masters and disciples were naturally revealed in front of the monks at Lingshan Mountain.

Although Sanzang never really took action, it was not difficult to make a rough estimate based on the abilities of his disciples and what they had heard about Sanzang's deeds along the way.

Moreover, they also knew very well that even though they thought they had overestimated Tripitaka, in fact, it was probably just the opposite.

But how deep will Tripitaka's magic power be?

Is it possible that he can still be compared with Buddha and Bodhisattva?

Ordinary monks naturally feel that this idea is too bold, but for the Buddha and Bodhisattva themselves, they do not think this is impossible.

Even though Tripitaka's magic power is a little worse than theirs, it's not much different. He can be said to be on the same level.

Among their masters and disciples, apart from Tripitaka, there are two others who possess such a level of magic power.

The first is Sun Wukong, who was supposed to be the protector of Buddhism; the second is "Wu Jing" who was not at all included in Buddhism's previous plan for the journey to the West.

As for Bajie and Xiaobailong, although they are slightly inferior, they are still enough to be at the forefront among the monks in Lingshan. They may not be able to achieve the great title of Zhengguo, but it is more than enough to be granted the title of Bodhisattva.

"Sanzo."

Buddha looked in the direction of Tripitaka.

"Disciple is here." Fa Hai clasped his hands together, his expression still respectful.

"I know that you have accumulated many doubts in your heart along the way, and I also know that you have hidden these doubts in your heart and want to ask me for advice in this Lingshan Mahavira Hall." Tathagata Buddha did not seem to be afraid of Tripitaka's censure, and actually asked Tripitaka to speak.

"I'm here, but I don't know why you can still use me to answer your questions?"

Fahai thought for a moment, then slowly shook his head.

"Oh?" Buddha, who was already prepared and had dealt with it in advance, rarely showed a doubtful look, "Why is this?"

"What you hear is not as good as what you see, and what you see is not as good as what you experience." Fahai also did not shy away from it, "Besides, the Buddha is a Buddha, and the thoughts in the mind of an ordinary monk like a young monk are always different and some very different answers.

Even if you listen to it, you are just asking for trouble. Moreover, the disciple has already obtained the answers to many doubts on this journey to the west. And those who have not found the answers yet, the monk will save them for now. If the monk still cannot solve the doubts, come again.

When asking Buddha for advice, please forgive me."

After hearing what Tripitaka said, the Buddha looked at Tripitaka for a moment, then nodded slowly and said, "Good!"

The Tathagata Buddha knew that Tripitaka had some doubts in his heart, and the Bodhisattva naturally knew it too. Moreover, Tripitaka had also said in Lingshan before that he wanted to ask the Buddha some questions.

Although he didn't know what caused Sanzang to change, the Bodhisattva didn't find it strange.

After all, it is not difficult for Tripitaka's understanding to find answers to some simple questions; and those questions that would be difficult for Tripitaka would probably be a bit tricky for the Buddha himself.

And such a question is obviously not appropriate to ask the Buddha for advice in public.

Sanzang only looks reckless, but actually he has a lot of beauty underneath.

"You don't ask me, but I want to ask you."

I just didn't expect that Sanzang would cease to exist, but Buddha would "make trouble again".

"Please." Fa Hai was not afraid at all.

"Do you know what the true scripture is?"

Fa Hai raised his eyebrows, looked at each other with the Buddha, and said in his heart: This is a question that the young monk wants the Buddha to ask you for advice.

But Fa Hai did not panic. He put his hands together and said: "All living beings in the three realms are the true sutra."

Regarding Tripitaka's words, the Buddha did not comment, but immediately looked at the monks in the hall and asked: "What do you think?"

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva was the first to say: "This statement of Tripitaka is of great benefit. The true sutra has no form and is hidden in the three realms. If you can understand the sentient beings in the three realms, you will naturally understand the true sutra."

There is one more thing the Bodhisattva has not said: On the contrary, even if one obtains the "True Sutra", it will be difficult to understand the Dharma in it.

The Buddha looked around at the monks in the hall and said, "For the time being, I will not mention the monks who practice Hinayana teachings. I only ask you, monks who practice Mahayana Buddhism, have you ever entered the human world for a long time and practiced in the world of mortals?"

Most of the monks present lowered their heads and refused to raise them.

Especially the monks in the several pure lands, they do not enter the human world.

Among the monks present, there are indeed not many who specialize in Hinayana teachings. After all, among the attainment levels of Hinayana teachings, the highest is Arhat. Although there is also the attainment of Pratyekabuddha, it is actually at the same level as Arhat.

For example, the great venerable Mahakassapa before him practiced Hinayana teachings and achieved Arahant status. Then when he practiced Mahayana teachings again, he was unwilling to become a Buddha even if he could.

A very important reason why Mahayana teachings can replace Hinayana teachings and to control Lingshan is actually to give Hinayana followers the opportunity to become Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

After all, an Arhat is an Arhat. Even if he is a god or a Buddha, who wouldn’t want to go further?

Just like today's Heavenly Court, under the reforms carried out by Erlang Zhenjun, in addition to the "Sumu System" for reincarnation in the lower world, there is also a brand new "Promotion System" that is being brewed.

The Temple of the True Lord has invited all the righteous gods from various ministries, and has discussed this matter many times. There have been a lot of rumors in private, and the office efficiency of the Heavenly Court has skyrocketed for a while.

It is not impossible to blindly rely on heavenly rules and punishments to restrain the gods in heaven, but the consequences are obvious. Everyone just needs to do their part and make no mistakes.

This greatly reduces the subjective initiative of the gods, but Erlang Shen Yang Jian is still a little concerned about this.

Many of the gods who serve in the Temple of Justice complained to Erlang Shen, saying that their workload here was too great. If they had not followed Zhenjun, and Zhenjun always treated his subordinates well, they would have applied for transfer at any cost.

.

This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content! Before Erlang Shen said anything, the eighth sister who was "internship" with him started to fight for the injustice of her colleagues in the True Lord Temple, "Cousin Erlang,

You have to think of a way, we can't just let our own people be busy all day long while other gods are enjoying themselves all day long."

After hearing this, Meishan Lao Liu thought to himself: Why do you guys become gods? Let’s not mention it for now. After all, he wants to benefit all living beings in the three realms, and we and other brothers will sacrifice their lives to accompany him.

Can other gods have such a high level of consciousness?

In fact, the Jade Emperor had long wanted to rectify the atmosphere in heaven, and even mentioned the matter to Erlang Shen, but he never had the opportunity to take action. In addition, Yang Jian had a lot of things on his hands, so he just forgot about it.

.

This time, after Bamei's words, Yang Jian was asked to pick it up.

It was also because of the reincarnation in the lower realm that all the gods had joined the ranks of "involution" before, which gave Yang Jian a new inspiration. That is to write the "promotion" of the gods into the heavenly rules, so that those who are not reconciled to the present

Gods who want to advance to the next level in their priesthood will naturally become proactive.

Moreover, clearly distinguishing rewards and punishments is not a clever tactic at all. Whether it can be effective depends entirely on whether those in power can keep their word and be relatively fair.

However, the divine thrones in heaven are fixed. Unless they are the divine thrones specially conferred by the Jade Emperor such as "The Great Sage Qitian" and "Erlang Zhenjun", they are basically like a carrot and a pit. If someone wants to go up, someone will naturally come down.

In comparison, there are not so many restrictions on the promotion of "fruition status" under the Mahayana teachings.

In addition to relying on one's own understanding of the Buddha's Dharma to achieve self-realization, several Buddhas and leaders of various sects are also qualified to increase the "attainment status". However, the achievement status promoted by the Buddha and leaders will be promoted.

will be affected by them to a certain extent.

Those who can hold their heads high and their chests high in the Main Hall at this moment are the familiar Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who have left their names in the world in the past. And those who lower their heads may not be recognized even if Fahai sees them.

their identity.

"Where is the Discipline Academy?"

"exist!"

Skanda Bodhisattva and the Venerable Dharma Precepts led the monks from the Precepts Monastery to leave the group.

"Where can I find the files I checked before?"

"Here." Wei Tuo Bodhisattva took out a sealed file from the sleeve of his monk's robe, held it in front of his chest with both hands, and was about to present it to the Buddha.

"Those who are called on the Dharma name can refute it." After the Buddha finished saying this, he said to Skanda Bodhisattva: "Just recite it."

Wei Tuo Bodhisattva calmed down his mind a little. When he learned that the Buddha asked him to bring this dossier today, he had expected it. Sure enough, something big was coming!

When Skanda Bodhisattva saw Tripitaka and his disciples taking their seats, he thought that the biggest crisis of the day had passed, but he never expected that the Buddha still had no intention of the monks.

Or maybe he didn't intend to let himself go.

After all, the Buddha is the Lord of Lingshan and is in charge of Buddhism. However, these Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have done so many intolerable things in private. It is natural that the Buddha cannot absolve himself of the blame. It is inevitable that he has neglected his duty even though he did not understand others.

The Buddha looked at the monks with their heads lowered below and said in his heart: If you make mistakes, you will be corrected. You cannot escape, and the poor monks are no exception.

He can't just run away to reincarnation for no reason, he still has to start from the beginning.

Just using the words "The great calamity is coming" is obviously not enough to convince the public, and may even arouse doubts.

Since the great calamity is about to come, it seems unreasonable for the Buddha not to lead all beings to resist the calamity in Lingshan Mountain, but to escape and go to reincarnation.

Skanda Bodhisattva was not afraid of offending anyone, so he immediately lifted the seal on the file, named an Arhat, and then explained the precepts he had violated one by one.

The Arhat looked pale and did not argue after he came out. He immediately confessed.

What Veda Bodhisattva found out were all facts, and he had already heard that the Vinaya Academy punished many monks who violated the precepts, and sooner or later this disaster would fall on him.

Even though he had already expected it when the Buddha spoke, even though he was secretly mentally prepared, he could not tell a lie when he opened his mouth.

It was also because the precept he committed was not too big and the crime did not lead to death, so he has been retained until now.

There are actually quite a few monks who violate the precepts like this in Buddhism. They commit great evils, but minor precepts are often broken in private.

In particular, "drinking" is the most broken precept. There are even some Bodhisattvas who specially raise people from a Buddha's kingdom, where they specialize in brewing fine wine to satisfy their appetites.

Depending on the severity of the situation, some were punished by facing the wall, some were deprived of the "Zhengguo", and some were directly sent to reincarnation.

Now that the Dharma title is above the dossier and can still participate in this grand event in Lingshan, they are actually two extremes.

Firstly, the precepts they violated were indeed not serious. There is no need to even mention them in such a large court; secondly, some high-status Buddhas, when Skanda Bodhisattva visited them,

, although the evidence was found, he did not act rashly and kept it until the Tathagata Buddha spoke. He naturally explained what he had found in detail in front of the monks.

One by one.

When the first Bodhisattva was called out of the queue, the scene became slightly chaotic. But when Veda Bodhisattva put the evidence of his "baby abuse" in front of the monks, no one interceded for him.

And he was deprived of the "Bodhisattva" status by the Buddha himself, and his magic power was taken away from him. From then on, he was knocked down from the Lingshan Mountain and banished to the human world to suffer.

The great sage couldn't help but sneered when he saw this.

When Bajie saw it, he asked out of curiosity: "Elder brother, why do you look like this?"

Saying that, Bajie imitated the face of the Great Sage and made an expression that he thought was exactly the same.

Wu Jing took a look and said to himself that although the expressions of the two senior brothers were still somewhat different, the irony inside them was exactly the same.

"Be demoted to the human world and suffer."

The Great Sage repeated these words from the Buddha's mouth, but did not lower his voice. It seemed that he was explaining to Bajie, but in fact he wanted to express his thoughts in public, "Listen to this

That said, what kind of place do gods and Buddhas regard the human world? Why do they always have to punish them to suffer in the human world? How miserable is the human world for them? It is actually regarded as a place of exile."

The great sage just spoke these words.

Even the Buddha and the Bodhisattva were trembling in their hearts.

Fahai on the side said to Wukong: "The world is a sea of suffering. The so-called cultivation of Zhengtong is to escape from the sea of suffering."

Fahai's words were not polite, "Those who have achieved enlightenment have passed through the sea of suffering. How can they be willing to sink into the sea of suffering again after they get ashore?"

Like Bodhisattvas, those who have attained the enlightenment of the True Dharma and the Tathagata have to give up. Of course they are a minority. Otherwise, wouldn’t there be Bodhisattvas everywhere in the world?

There is nothing wrong with being alone.

However, the Hinayana believers, who originally focused on saving themselves, were not included in this reckoning, and they somehow escaped the disaster.

But as the name of the first "Buddha" came out from the mouth of Veda Bodhisattva, the scene, which was not peaceful at first, became more and more noisy and all the monks were in danger.

The Great Sun Tathagata did not expect that things would develop in such a direction, and he was a little stunned for a moment. Because this Buddha is a practitioner of Tantric Buddhism, and he had previously wanted to recruit the other party into Tantric Buddhism.

But the evil deeds committed by the other party made the Great Sun Tathagata want to set fire to him and burn him to death.
