Chapter 448: The poor monk wants to establish the Consciousness Only Sect; he just thinks it is to warm up the scene for Brother Monkey.

Chapter 448 of the Main Text Volume of "The Sea of Fa Crosses the Tang Sanzang" The poor monk wants to establish the Consciousness-only Sect; this is to warm up the scene for Brother Monkey to talk about the true Buddhahood of Lingshan. Many Buddhist believers in the world may not be able to resist its temptation.

But for Master Sanzang and his disciples, they really didn't take it to heart.

After hearing what the Buddha said, Bajie immediately smiled and said: "Buddha, what use is this great post of Zhengguo to my disciples? It is worse than taking care of the disciples' three to five hundred years of fasting."

After hearing this, Buddha immediately ignored the idiot.

If we talk about three to five years, the Buddha wouldn't even blink. But the Bajie Lion opens his mouth so much that he can eat for three to five hundred years. I'm afraid it is also a big burden for Lingshan.

The main reason is that Bajie's belly is like a bottomless pit, and when it's almost full, its appetite is comparable to that of the gluttonous beast from ancient times.

Not only the Buddha, but also all the monks in the temple were all accomplished practitioners, otherwise they would almost laugh out loud. But even so, a few could not help but lower their heads, and their shoulders would tremble from time to time.

The great sage who used to always laugh at Bajie for "just knowing how to eat" did not say anything now. When seeing the Buddha not answering, he even wanted to mock the Buddha for being "stingy".

But when he was about to speak, he caught a glimpse of the master beside him and held back his words. There was a lot of trouble caused today, so there was no need to stick to this rhetoric.

Then the Buddha asked Wu Jing and Xiao Bai Long whether they would accept the great achievement of Lingshan's promotion, and the answer they received was not unexpected. Neither the master nor the senior brother agreed, and naturally neither of them would accept it.

Moreover, they did not become Buddhists for the sake of attaining this great position.

In fact, their master and disciples had discussed this matter in private. Fahai even advised these disciples that it would not be a bad idea for them to receive the Lingshan promotion without having to imitate him.

After all, whether a practitioner has "editing" or not, his status in the three realms is still very different.

Of course, for Fahai now, whether he has this great position or not, it will not have much impact on his status in the three realms because he wants to establish his own business.

"The poor monk wants to establish the Consciousness-only Sect."

The Buddha and the Bodhisattva had already expected this when Tripitaka argued with the monks at Lingshan Mountain using the "True Knowledge-Based Measurement" of Buddha. Now that they heard Tripitaka's words, they confirmed what they had thought in their hearts, so they were not too surprised.

Although the monks caused some commotion after hearing this, everyone soon came to a tacit understanding and even thought it was a good thing.

Tripitaka has not become a Buddha and is not even willing to stay in Lingshan. Now he wants to establish the Consciousness Only Sect. Doesn't it mean that they will not have to deal with this great monk in the future?

Isn't this a great thing?

After all, for the monks in Lingshan, facing Tripitaka was quite stressful and very uncomfortable.

Some Buddhists are even ready to stand up and persuade him if the Buddha disagrees. They may even form a good relationship with Master Tripitaka.

Tripitaka has long been known as a great master. When he was discussing the Dharma, although his statement of "Consciousness alone of all things" was based on the essence of Yoga, at the level of the monks at Lingshan, one could naturally tell that the other's Dharma had become its own sect.

Now if I raise it in front of the Buddha, I'm afraid it's not a request for instructions at all. To put it more bluntly, it's more like informing Lingshan.

Because everyone knows very well that whether Lingshan agrees or not, Master Tripitaka is bound to establish the Consciousness Only Sect.

Since it is something that everyone is well aware of, Buddha will naturally not make things difficult anymore. He just said with emotion: "Actually, I wanted to pass on the position of Lord of Lingshan to you."

The atmosphere in the main hall solidified again.

The monks held their breath and looked at Master Tripitaka one after another. Although there had been rumors about this in private for a long time, it seemed that the Buddha had expressed his intention in public for the first time.

When everyone saw that Master Sanzang was still unfazed, they clasped their hands and said, "Amitabha, I would like to thank you for your kindness, but my virtues are shallow, how can I convince everyone?"

"This trip to Deling Mountain, and I also obtained the true scriptures and sent them to the Tang Dynasty, can't be an end to the end." Fahai performed a Buddha salute to the Buddha and said: "The poor monk wants to establish the Shiwei Sect's Taoist temple in Ci'en Temple, Chang'an, Tang Dynasty.

Spread Buddhism in the Eastern Lands."

The reason why Fa Hai wanted to preach the scriptures in person was actually because he was afraid that these scriptures would be misinterpreted without his interpretation.

Even though he has left annotations on the scriptures before, those with ulterior motives must beware.

Sure enough, even the position of Lord of Lingshan cannot retain Master Tripitaka.

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva became more and more impressed by Tripitaka's determination, but still asked: "Tripang, it would be very difficult for you alone to establish a Buddhist sect."

Fa Hai swayed his cassock, stretched out his hand to direct everyone's attention to Wukong and others, and said: "I have a disciple here who can protect the Dharma and preach the truth."

Guanyin Bodhisattva smiled when he heard this and said, "In this case, the poor monk wants to test their Dharma."

coming!

The big one is coming!

The few people who knew the inside story, such as the Great Sun Tathagata and Muzha, sat upright for a while and continued to do psychological construction.

King Peacock Ming next to the Great Sun Tathagata and Jin Zha next to Muzha felt more and more strange. After all, the two of them had given warnings before, so they were probably not unintentional, so they secretly kept some vigilance in their hearts.

Most of the monks present would think that the biggest event had already come to an end when the Great Sun Tathagata used the "Great Sun Buddha Flame" to save the eight Buddhas.

Seeing that the Bodhisattva was about to take a test on the Buddha's Tooth Relics from Master Tripitaka, all of them naturally looked at the excitement.

The monks don't know the depth of the Buddhist realm of these disciples, but there is no doubt about their magical power. Even Bajie's magical power ranks at the forefront among the Bodhisattvas in the temple. Even with some ordinary people

Compared with Buddhists, they are not far behind.

Like the Great Sage and Sha Wujing, who had never shown up before, the monks boldly guessed that their magic power might have already exceeded the ordinary Buddhas and directly pursued the Buddhas and several great Bodhisattvas who had arrived to fly Cihang.

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! It can be seen that since they became disciples of Tripitaka, they have never slacked off in their practice.

But relatively speaking, since they have such attainments in the practice of Dharma, they naturally do not have enough time to comprehend the realm of Buddhism. Moreover, they are all monks halfway, even if they are enlightened by the obsession of those who have learned the scriptures for the ninth time. But.

It was only after he was purified by Tripitaka and became his teacher that he began to practice Buddhism.

Is it going to be revealed this time?

The Bodhisattva first looked at Xiao Bailong. She knew that Xiao Bailong was the one with the shallowest understanding of Buddhism among them. After all, his energy was really spent on the art of gunmanship, otherwise there would be no chance of success.

Such a rapid entry.

The little white dragon did not show any timidity. When he saw the Bodhisattva's eyes on him, he stepped out of the queue first and bowed to the Bodhisattva, saying: "My disciple's qualifications are average. Although he has recited many Buddhist scriptures under the master, he does not have any intensive practice."

, I also ask Bodhisattva not to embarrass his disciples too much."

"Third Prince, there is no need to belittle oneself." The Bodhisattva smiled and said: "Since you are under the Tripitaka sect, you have a wide range of Buddhist scriptures. As a Buddhist monk, I study scriptures and I don't know what scriptures I have read overnight."

Xiao Bailong lowered his head and said: "My disciple is not talented. I have only studied the four parts of the Hinayana Sutra: the Long Agama Sutra, the Middle Agama Sutra, the Additional Agama Sutra, and the Miscellaneous Agama Sutra. As for the Mahayana Sutra,

I have read the Mahaprajna Sutra, the Surangama Sutra, the Avatamsaka Sutra, the Mahanirvana Sutra, etc., and have not yet studied the thirty-five essential Mahayana texts that Master obtained from Lingshan. In addition, they are all created by Master.

It's 'Only Consciousness of Buddha Dharma'."

Enough already!

Don't say any more!

Sure enough, you are not an honest guy either.

Among the monks in Lingshan, many monks looked solemn, especially some Arhats, because the scriptures they had read were not as good as those of Xiao Bailong.

Now I can only pray that Xiao Bailong simply recited it and did not really understand the meaning. But is this possible?

My master is Tang Sanzang!

Just looking at Sanzang's rigorous attitude towards Buddhism, we know that it is impossible for his disciples to swallow the jujube without asking for a deeper understanding. Xiaobailong dared to name the names of these scriptures at this moment, that is, he was not afraid of the Bodhisattva's examination.

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva also has very high views on Hinayana Buddhism, so he summarized a few key points from the four Hinayana classics to formulate this topic.

Xiao Bailong responded one by one, and all were correct answers.

After hearing this, the Bodhisattva nodded secretly. Xiao Bailong's answer may not be a "standard answer", but it is definitely his own understanding of Buddhism, and he has not gone astray.

This is probably the result of Tripitaka's words and deeds, and is not just a superficial understanding.

Guanyin Bodhisattva had no intention of continuing to examine the Mahayana Buddhist scriptures from Xiao Bailong. He just asked one more question: "Where do you think the importance of Hinayana lies?"

Xiao Bailong thought for a while and then said: "If there are any mistakes or omissions in what I said, I would like to ask the Bodhisattva to correct me. The first is that the path of suffering and destruction of the Four Noble Truths is centered on self-view and self-grasping;

Second, the impermanence of all actions is not just about impermanence; the inability of all dharmas is not just about selflessness; the silence of Nirvana requires first understanding the true meaning of Nirvana. The three Dharma seals stand side by side and are indispensable without the other."

"Great kindness!"

The Bodhisattva immediately looked at the little white dragon with admiration and said: "If you specialize in Hinayana, you will surely become an Arhat."

Little Bailong clasped his hands together and bowed to the Bodhisattva again, very modestly: "Disciple is still far behind."

With Xiao Bailong's opening, the monks knew that it was impossible to watch people lively.

Although the Bodhisattva did not examine Xiao Bailong's Mahayana Buddhism, the monks knew it very well. Just relying on Xiao Bailong's understanding of Hinayana Buddhism just now is enough to gain a foothold in Lingshan.

In fact, Lingshan does not prohibit monks from practicing Hinayana Buddhism, but the vast majority of monks who specialize in Hinayana practice naturally practice Mahayana Buddhism after Tathagata Buddha took charge of Lingshan.

After all, if you practice Hinayana, you must first save yourself. The Lord of Lingshan practices Mahayana Buddhism. If they don't respond positively, how can they save themselves?

After Xiao Bailong, it was naturally Wu Jing’s turn.

If Xiao Bailong made them put aside their contempt, Wu Jing really opened their eyes.

"Why didn't Bodhisattva ask?"

"Which sutra are you good at?" Bodhisattva knew that Wu Jing was extraordinary, but he still asked as usual.

Wu Jing thought for a while and said, "It's all acceptable."

Monks:?

"Be specific."

Then Wu Jing spoke for a long time, including the Mahayana, Hinayana, Tantra and Vinaya, those that everyone has heard of and those that have not been heard of. In the end, he even listed Taoist scriptures, Confucian scriptures and even Legalist classics.

few.

The monks were naturally amazed, and what shocked them even more was that Wujing really didn't lie. The Bodhisattva and him were no longer taking an exam, but more like two eminent monks debating Buddhism.

Guanyin Bodhisattva can definitely be regarded as a great Bodhisattva with profound Buddhist teachings. Even so, it seems that he does not have as many scriptures as Sha Wujing.

It is indeed the result of the obsession of the nine generations of pilgrims. This obsession with the scriptures alone cannot be compared to them.

Being a Bodhisattva alone, Wu Jing seems to be not satisfied. After all, he was already eager to give it a try when the Master debated sutras with all the Buddhas. Then he finally got an opportunity to discuss Buddhism outside the temple, but the Medicine Master Seven Buddhas did not talk about it.

Wude, he had no choice but to take action

Now that Bodhisattva has begun, Wu Jing will naturally have a good time.

However, everyone learned a lesson and realized that Sha Wujing's Buddhist realm was really profound and different from ordinary people's, so they didn't accept the move at all. After all, losing to Master Sanzang was still justified.

But if they were defeated by Sha Wujing, they would not have to travel in the Three Realms in the future.

That is to say, Wu Jing did not speculate on their thoughts, otherwise he would have to say something like: Have you been in the Three Realms before?

All in all, Wu Jing had fulfilled his interest this time, so he no longer forced it. Moreover, with the level of these monks, I am afraid that they would not be able to argue with themselves for a few rounds, but it would be very exciting.

Wu Jing felt relieved.

But Bajie was about to feel uncomfortable. If we talk about the scene that Xiao Bailong opened just now, Bajie could barely catch it.

But now that Wu Jing had grown so much all at once, it made Bajie murmur in his heart, thinking: What should I, this old pig, do now?

But he has always been tolerant. He just worried a little and put the matter behind him. He is not afraid of being short-changed. Anyway, his level is at this level, and there is nothing he dares to show off to others.

But when the Bodhisattva asked him what sutra he was good at, Bajie suddenly felt blessed and said, "The Precious Elephant Sutra."

The monks were stunned for a moment after hearing this, and they all thought in their hearts: Do we still have this Buddhist scripture in our Buddhist sect?

Why haven't I heard of it before?

The Bodhisattva, who knew the details, couldn't help laughing and scolding: "Bajie, don't be ridiculous. Huh?"

But in the middle of his words, the Bodhisattva suddenly stopped, turned around and said to the Buddha: "Buddha, the enlightenment of the Treasure Elephant Kingdom seems to be in the form of a book."

The Buddha's expression did not change and he said to Bajie: "In this case, let me recite the Buddhist sutra."

Master has read the "Baoxiang Buddhist Sutra" from that year. Although it is not a real Buddhist sutra, Master has carefully interpreted it and deleted some of the dregs and inappropriate parts in the sutra.

The final revised version has been kept in Baoxiang Buddhist Temple.

Although Bajie is lazy, his understanding and memory are not bad. This scripture, which is not a Buddhist scripture, is always remembered in Bajie's heart because it is too special, but unexpectedly it can be used here.

Since the Buddha asked him to recite it, Bajie naturally obeyed and immediately meditated on the ground, thinking: This is just to warm up the scene for Brother Monkey.

Then he started chanting sutras.
