Chapter Nine Feeling Helpless

Everything was quiet. Shu Pan had been painting for a while. She looked at the clock on the wall and it was already 11 o'clock. Gu Shaoting hadn't come back yet. She looked out the window in ecstasy. The dark blue sky was bottomless and the whole city was shrouded in darkness.

The bright moon was in the sky, but the light was blocked by clouds, and only a silvery shadow was dimly visible.

Suddenly, there was the sound of the door being unlocked, and he opened the door smelling of alcohol. A dim light was left in the entrance. Gu Shaoting was stunned for a moment, and then slowly opened his mouth. Before getting married, the room was always dark when he came back. Now,

When I came back, I saw that there was a small light at the door, dim and yellow, and someone was waiting at home. Ever since she married Shu Pan, she would leave the light for him no matter how late it was. It felt really good.

"Back?" When Shu Pan came out, Gu Shaoting was changing his shoes. When she got closer, she smelled the smell of alcohol coming to her nostrils. Shu Pan turned around and went to the kitchen, pouring a glass of light honey water in one quick move.

He handed the water to Gu Shaoting, who took it and drank it in one gulp.

"Why did you leave so early tonight and why didn't you wait for me? Why don't you feel well?" Gu Shaoting handed the cup to Shu Pan and said relatedly.

"I'm fine. Oh, a woman just called home and asked me to convey a few words to him." Shu Pan suddenly remembered the phone call just now.

"Woman, what are you conveying?" If it was a friend, he would usually call his cell phone. If he was not a friend, how would he know his home phone number? Gu Shaoting was very confused.

"She said her surname was Tong. Let me tell you that she is back and wants to see you." After Shu Pan finished speaking, he found that Gu Shaoting was silent. I don't know what he was thinking.

"Shaoting, what's wrong?" Shu Pan found that Gu Shaoting seemed to be stunned, and there was no response when he called him.

"It's okay, it's probably a friend from before. I guess I haven't contacted him for a long time, so I don't have my mobile phone number." After Gu Shaoting came to his senses, he walked towards the bedroom as he spoke.

Shu Pan saw that he had no desire to speak. He originally wanted to talk to her about the problems of his father's company, but later gave up. Now that he knew that he asked her to take medicine and did not want her to have children, this matter was like a thorn in her throat.

Extremely uncomfortable.

Seeing Gu Shaoting walking into the master bedroom, Shu Pan followed him in.

I don't know if it was because of the lighting or because of discomfort. Shu Pan's face didn't look very good. Gu Shaoting looked at her for a while and said, "Are you sure you're okay? Your face doesn't look very good."

Shu Pan stuck out his tongue, "Maybe I haven't had enough sleep because I have been working on a manuscript recently." Shu Pan didn't want to tell Gu Shaoting what was on his mind, because he wouldn't necessarily care if he told her anyway.

"Then go to bed early." Gu Shaoting entered the bathroom with his pajamas.

Shu Pan lay on the bed and looked at the ceiling above. Every detail of her and Gu Shaoting's life over the past three years kept popping up in her mind. The two of them almost had a flash marriage and followed the trend. After the marriage, the two of them had been very ordinary.

There was no quarrel, but now it feels like life is suddenly going to be a storm.

When Gu Shaoting stepped out of the bathroom, Shu Pan quickly closed his eyes and straightened his body. After a while, he felt that the bed next to him was sunken, but Gu Shaoting did not hug Shu Pan as usual. Shu Pan tiredly closed his body and closed his arms.

He had his eyes closed, but his consciousness was clear.

From the time I met Gu Shaoting and got married, every scene came to mind. The little sweetness that was left in the past was now gone.
