Chapter 687: The Longing of the Wizards

With the end of the Ice and Snow Festival dance, everyone ushered in a month-long short vacation.

Students in the college can choose to stay in school, go home, or travel around.

Fox agreed to Raven and the others to solve the problem of Little Phoenix's awakening, and by the way, he also roped in Zoe.

Raven originally invited Sherlock, but during this period, he had a more important matter, to find out the whereabouts of the Spindle of Doom.

As expected, the Spindle of Doom must be in the hands of Leatherman's witch.

Therefore, in the name of strengthening exchanges and enhancing friendship between the three schools, Sherlock successfully obtained the opportunity to study at Leatherman from Professor McGonagall.

Leatherman is not a particularly friendly country. The nomads who grew up in the ice and snow always have a slight hostility towards strange outsiders.

Therefore, it is difficult for ordinary people to enter or even integrate into Leatherman's society without being invited.

"Sherlock, are you from Aglalon?" Back in Leatherman's carriage, a dark wizard asked curiously.

"No, I come from a small town in the east of the High Forest." Sherlock replied friendly.

"My name is Qi Heishan, you can call me Heishan." The wizard introduced himself: "This is my first time going out, and it may also be my last time. Can you tell me about your adventure?"

"Of course." Sherlock was idle and had nothing to do: "Everything starts with a demonized tree spirit in the Supreme Forest..."

As the story unfolded, all the other wizards in the carriage gathered together.

They may not be able to leave Leatherman for the rest of their lives, and there are no related books to browse.

After they were found to have a talent for learning magic, they were left with endless work in their lives - making magic props for witches.

Because they can make magic props, their lives may be much better than other tribesmen, and there are no life threats.

But the price is a lifetime of freedom.

Therefore, wizards showed great enthusiasm for external things, especially the adventures Sherlock experienced.

"The old hag is so scary. I heard that there is a hag queen in the ruins of Leatherman Castle. Lord Vichararan seems to be preparing to deal with her!"

"I really want to go to Middle-earth and see what a civilized society like Cormyr is like."

"I still want to go to Atlas City where the stars fall under the sea. The love between the mermaid princess and the Pirate King is really fascinating."

"Go to the Falling Star Sea, be careful not to be swallowed by the misty islands inside."

"I'm not afraid. It's better than making spell scrolls every day anyway."

After Heishan finished speaking, the originally noisy carriage suddenly became quiet.

Sherlock looked at their expressions, including fear, helplessness, and anger, but mostly numb.

He sighed and did not open his mouth to persuade.

This is a fundamental social issue involving a country, and it is simply not something that a small adventurer like him can shake.

No matter how much he sympathized with these wizards, he could only turn a blind eye.

After a moment of silence, Heishan finally gathered his emotions and asked again: "Sherlock, why do you want to go to Leatherman? There is nothing there except mountains and snow."

"I'm curious. I want to visit every inch of Faerûn and appreciate the scenery of every place." Naturally, Sherlock couldn't tell the truth.

"I'm so envious of you. You can go wherever you want." Heishan said with great envy: "If you are free, I can take you to my hometown. Our Tilulage's fire wine is the best."

.”

As soon as Heishan finished speaking, another wizard retorted: "Who said your fire wine is the best? It's obvious that our Ymilma fire wine is the most authentic."

"Do you know where the birthplace of fire wine is?" A wizard asked himself and answered: "It's our Mulputan!"

Speaking of fire wine, several wizards seemed to be in a better mood, and they all argued about which one was better and more authentic.

Sherlock has naturally heard of Leatherman's fire wine. In the bar in Wiplintala, a goblet costs one hundred gold coins, and further away, such as the Sword Coast, it costs three.

Four hundred gold coins a cup.

If given the chance, he would naturally drink a few more drinks and even bring a dozen buckets back.

Leatherman and Agolalon are separated by a Cesk, which is still quite far apart.

Even with Pegasus pulling them, everyone had to sit for a whole day and night before they finally arrived at the capital, Ymilma.

As Montenegro said, Leatherman is very desolate, either mountains or snow.

When winter comes, the mountains are covered with snow and there is no sunshine all day long.

Ymilma is said to be the capital, but it only has a short city wall, and inside the city wall are all primitive earthen houses.

Unfortunately, the Pegasus carriage only passed over Ymilma, and Sherlock was not able to go down and take a good look at the scenery in the city.

After passing Ymilma, not far away is Leatherman's most majestic building - the Ice Castle.

The ice and snow castle is built on a cliff on the top of the snow mountain.

The previous Supreme Witches and their chosen successors will live in the Snow Castle until a new Supreme Witch is elected.

Most of the remaining witches will live in the building complex attached to the Ice and Snow Castle, while the other part will live scattered in various areas of Leatherman.

As for the wizards, they do not receive such good treatment, and they often live in groups in caves in the mountains.

Sherlock was originally placed in the cave where Black Mountain was located.

But maybe the Supreme Witch felt that it was not good to treat a Triwizard Tournament contestant like this, or maybe for Dumbledore's sake, he was specially allowed to live in the Ice City.

Ice and Snow City is a complex of ancillary buildings of the Ice and Snow Castle, similar to small towns outside.

The only main road in the city leads to the Ice Castle.

If the Spindle of Doom is really in Leatherman, it is most likely to be in the Snow Castle.

But, how can we get in?

Early the next morning, Sherlock was about to go out to visit the Ice and Snow City, when a man knocked on his door.

"Sherlock, I am Chihiro Nakamura. The teacher asked me to come here." The person said at the door.

Sherlock opened the door and saw a familiar figure who was also one of the contestants in the Triwizard Tournament: "What's the matter?"

"The teacher said that I will accompany you on all your trips in Leatherman." Chihiro Nakamura said with a smile.

"Then why are you embarrassed? I can just stroll around alone." Sherlock said hypocritically.

"Sorry, the teacher asked me to monitor you just because I can't let you roam around casually." Chihiro Nakamura lowered his head and said.

"Surveillance, is it so direct?" Sherlock was also a little caught off guard by this girl's frankness.

"I'm sorry, I'm not very good at talking and I've caused you trouble." Chihiro Nakamura kept bowing and said, "Please be sure to let me accompany you."

"Okay." Sherlock didn't want to embarrass a little girl: "What are your plans?"

Seeing Sherlock agree, Nakamura Chihiro also breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile: "We can go shopping in the Ice and Snow City for the next two days. I will make arrangements for you wherever you want to go next."

"I want to go to the Ice and Snow Castle, can you arrange that?"

"Sorry! Men are not allowed in the Ice Castle."

"Actually, I'm not a human, I'm a half-elf."

"I'm so sorry! No male creatures are allowed in."

"No chance at all?"

"sorry, we do not have that."

"Okay!" Sherlock didn't insist.

Since you can't get in through formal channels, you can only think of other ways.

Before that, it would be a good idea to visit the land of ice and snow in Leatherman.
