Chapter 345 Confucianism or Confucianism?

[What are punctuation marks? This ability surpasses all schools of thought and makes my Confucian school stand out?]

Fu Sheng looked at it from right to left with doubts - Pre-Qin books were written vertically, column by column, from right to left.

1. Comma (,): a pause symbol in the middle of a sentence.

2. Semicolon (;): The symbol that separates parallel clauses in a sentence.

3. The pause (,): a symbol for a pause in a word or phrase in the middle of a sentence.

4. Period (.): the symbol that ends a sentence.

5. Question mark (?): used at the end of a question sentence to imply a questioning tone.

6. Exclamation mark (!): a symbol at the end of an imperative sentence with a strong tone and an exclamation sentence.

7. Quotation marks (""): symbols for quoting vocabulary, classics, and the words of saints.

There are a total of fourteen punctuation marks, names, drawings, and explanations to make it clear at a glance.

The great Confucian scholar was a little careless. When he read the third chapter, he nodded slightly and felt that it was interesting. When he read the seventh chapter, he was suddenly startled and his eyes shone brightly!

He carefully folded the paper again and shouted loudly to summon the officials urgently.

A small official in official clothes entered without calling for an adult. He bowed deeply and said:

"teacher."

The junior official is a disciple of Confucianism, and Fu was born to him first as a teacher and then as a county magistrate. Calling him a teacher instead of an adult is a sign of closeness and inheritance.

"Recruit all the disciples quickly! Recruit all the disciples quickly!"

Fu Sheng looked excited and called twice, leaving no time for the clerk to respond.

The last time the junior official saw such a strong mood swing in Fu Sheng was when the Confucian Mansion in Xianyang broke up with Chunyu Yue - then he was angry, now he is happy.

"only!"

Infected by his emotions, the response should be loud and clear, and he left quickly with a smile on his face.

[It must be a great thing for my Confucian family to make the teacher so happy and summon his colleagues here urgently!]

Within an hour, all the Confucian scholars in Nanyang recalled Fu Sheng to the county magistrate's office.

After entering the house, no one left.

The moon is hollow in the sky, and the county magistrate's mansion is brightly lit.

All the young scholars were extremely excited, with a look of madness on their faces, and they were writing furiously on the white paper.

The young disciple was less crazy and less Confucian, but he was also sharp-eyed. He studied ink for his teacher, corrected typos in articles and transcribed articles, and enjoyed the ink all over his body.

In the classics of the Qin Dynasty, all characters were connected together and there were no punctuation marks to separate them, making it extremely difficult to learn.

People who read often pause while reading until they can fully understand the article, so the ancients attached great importance to the training of sentence reading.

"Book of Rites·Xueji" says: One year, Shili Jing distinguishes his records.

Zheng Xuan's note: Leaving the scriptures means breaking off all the sentences.

Being able to break up sentences in a book and read them smoothly and fluently is the basis for memorizing classics and understanding what is said in the book.

Sentence fragmentation is the first and most important step in ancient enlightenment education.

In many classics, due to different sentence fragments, their meanings are completely different.

There is no punctuation mark throughout the article, which makes learning extremely complicated.

The First Emperor had to wait until late at night to review the memorials, and there was also the reason for sentence fragmentation.

The emergence of punctuation marks will make education much more difficult. Whichever company is the first to use punctuation marks will be the first to seize the opportunity.

"No matter where the scholars come from, future generations of scholars should remember my contribution to the creation of the world as a Confucian school!"

A white-haired scholar stood up and shouted excitedly.

Beside him, his young disciple, who had just learned simplified Chinese, was holding his copy of "The Analects" with punctuation marks, segmenting sentences according to the punctuation marks, and reading it very smoothly.

"The Master said: 'Isn't it a pleasure to learn and practice it from time to time? A friend comes from afar...'"

The other scholar, who was five feet tall, had a thin build, sharp eyebrows and a sword at his waist, had a sonorous voice and tears in his eyes.

"The former sages are getting closer to us..."

The next day.

Nanyang was the first to update a batch of Confucian classics, and the Daqin Academy in Nanyang was the first to use books with punctuation marks. The Confucian tiger, which originally focused on education, had the wings of punctuation marks, and the learning progress of the people of Nanyang was rapid.

Three days later.

A memorial document recording the changes in Nanyang and Confucian management of the city appeared in front of Ying Chengyu.

Ying Chengyu first inspected the Nanyang memorial, and then he tapped his forehead with his fingers, dumbfounded.

"Fu Sheng, Fu Sheng, should I say that you have high moral standards, or that you are too much of a thief..."

Qiang was so curious that he took the Nanyang Memorial from Ying Chengyu and looked at it carefully.

These days, he has been following Ying Chengyu to see how Ying Chengyu handles certain matters.

Qiang cherishes him very much and knows that this is the intention of the king to cultivate him.

Once he read it, Qiang discovered the difference - the words in the memorial were not connected from beginning to end, but were separated by some symbols he had never seen before.

To his great surprise, after reading three or four sentences, he discovered that these symbols functioned as sentence segments, and he no longer needed to segment sentences manually.

[The new Confucian classics in Nanyang Daqin Academy use punctuation marks to break sentences. Magistrate Fu County said that these classics were sent to Nanyang from Xianyang by Lord Chang'an, and the punctuation marks were also created by Lord Chang'an.]

[The people of Nanyang were eager to learn when they heard that Lord Chang'an had sent him personally. They told their relatives and friends, and there were also people from nearby cities who came to Nanyang to learn.]

[It is expected that the number of people in Nanyang will increase by at least 10% in the next five days.]

He read just five sentences three times, using the time it usually takes to read a memorial.

After closing the memorial, Qiang Sheng praised:

"Your Majesty is truly a saint."

Ying Chengyu smiled and pointed twice.

“You can say flattering things, but I’m tired of hearing them all the time.

"Can you tell anything from this memorial?"

Qiang smiled sheepishly.

"I didn't see much at first, but when I remembered what your Majesty just commented on Fu Sheng, I learned something."

Ying Chengxuan picked up the memorials that recorded other changes in Confucian management of the city and browsed through the current situation of the city.

"Well, this flattery is so smooth, you can teach me. Tell me what you got."

"I dare to ask you, your Majesty, you originally wanted to put the power of punctuation on Confucianism."

"How did you get it?"

"If your Majesty wants to take advantage of this, you can already use books with punctuation marks in Daqin Academy. Why do you need Nanyang and his party?"

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! Ying Chengyu put down one memorial and picked up another one - there are many Confucian people, and they manage more cities.

"I'm making great progress. I'm much better than the reckless man. Let's continue."

Qiang was very happy to receive verbal praise from Ying Chengxuan, but he also had some criticisms about the reference candidate, Rang Fu - the secret guard's assassination kung fu teacher was Jing Ke, and Qiang knew Jing Ke's temperament very well.

"Fu Sheng didn't steal this merit. I don't believe it if he says he is morally noble and strong.

"No one among these scholars can refuse to leave a name in history, just like a military general cannot refuse the contribution of opening up new territories.

"Qiang thinks that he is taking advantage of the king's power.

"It was announced so widely that when the people of Han heard it, they all thought that the emperor was biased towards Confucianism.

"Your Majesty has a great reputation in Korea. After hearing that your Majesty presented Confucianism to you, all the people turned to Confucianism.

"Fu Sheng is using a nickname to seek great benefits for Confucianism."

After expressing all the opinions in his mind, Qiangxin waited anxiously for his master's evaluation.

Seeing Ying Chengyu nodding his head, he felt happy in his heart.

Ying Chengyu put down the memorial, he already knew what happened.

The memorial shows that, with the exception of Nanyang, which abolished the law of observing mourning for three years, most cities under Confucian management have not abolished it.

Fu Sheng, a Confucian leader, was a leader in Xianyang, but when he arrived in Han, his speaking power was significantly weakened.

Those great scholars who were originally serving as county magistrates in other cities in order to follow Fu Sheng's orders not only ignored Fu Sheng's request to reduce the ancient rituals, but instead cursed Fu Sheng and said that Fu Sheng had forgotten his ancestral lineage.

Not only these great Confucians, but also most Confucian scholars are very dissatisfied with Fu Sheng, but they just dare not say it due to their own status - Confucianism has changed like this, is it still Confucianism?

Fusheng can only take charge of Nanyang.

These great scholars, who were magistrates of other cities and counties, did not listen to the reduction of etiquette, but they were skillful in the use of punctuation marks.

Just one day after Nanyang used punctuation marks, their Daqin Academy also used punctuation marks, and they also began to promote the beauty of Chang'an Lord and Confucianism.

In order to prove that Lord Chang'an had a very good relationship with Confucianism, they detailed the fact that Lord Chang'an went to court for the first time in ten years to comment on the Analects of Confucius.

The people of Han suddenly realized that the Lord Chang'an who led them from death to life was a Confucian!

For a time, Confucianism prevailed.

"Yes, yes, the way of thinking is very important. Start from things and explore their essence. Don't look at what a person said, but look at what a person did, and look at the impact of things after they happen."

Qiang lowered his head slightly and said sincerely:

"Thank you for your advice."

"Even though Fu Sheng's moral standard is not as high as I thought, it is certainly higher than what you think. He can be trusted.

"He used his own reputation in exchange for the development of Confucianism. This is seeking public benefit for himself. Such a person can never make a mistake as long as he stays on the right track."

He forced himself closer and said:

"Your Majesty gives up the punctuation marks to Confucianism for the development of Korea. Your Majesty's morality is much higher than Fu Sheng's."

Ying Chengqiao laughed loudly.

"Well, this flattery is more advanced. If you practice more, you can be comparable to Zhou Qingchen."

"This is not flattery." Qiang said with a serious face, "This is what Qiang said from the bottom of his heart."

Ying Chengyu's laughter stopped for a moment, and then he laughed even louder.

"You are so strong. Your ability to flatter is already higher than Zhou Qingchen's."

Don't say anything strong.

[Your Majesty, this is really true...]

"Okay, stop making me happy."

Ying Chengyu took out a piece of white paper, Qiang immediately picked up the brush, dipped it in ink, and handed it to the master.

Ying Chengyu wrote carefully on the paper, stroke by stroke, for ten pages.

Qiang just stood aside and waited patiently, like a little book boy.

He watched the master hesitate when writing, watched the master frown in deep thought, and looked at the few white hairs on the master's head.

"Your Majesty?"

"Um?"

Ying Chengyu raised his head in confusion.

Qiang said respectfully:

"Your Majesty has been sitting in front of the case for two hours. Please rest for a while."

"cut."

Ying Chengyu rolled his eyes, pointed at Qiang with the tip of his brush, and warned:

"Do you know that flattery is too much? If you continue to force Lai Lai to interrupt Nai Gong's train of thought, Nai Gong will remove you from the post of county guard."

"Don't dare."

He lowered his head forcefully and made a sign of fear.

[As the governor of Xinzheng County, it is better to stay with Changan for a long time.]

Rather than being the governor of Xinzheng County and taking charge of Korea, he wanted to be a book boy in front of his lord.

A long time.

"Okay, take it, take it."

Qiang respectfully put away the papers on the table and bound them into a book after leaving.

Ying Chengyu covered his mouth with his hand and yawned, then stood up and stretched his waist vigorously, his joints crackling, and walked towards the governor's house.

“My momentum is not easy to borrow, and my benchmark is not easy to set.

"He can't control Confucianism, so I'll manage it for him.

"If any city does not change within three days, the county magistrate will be issued and expelled from Korea. Anyone who rebels will be killed immediately."

He bent down and said respectfully:

"only."

Ying Chengyu paused, raised his eyebrows, and half turned his head.

"Um?"

He stood up straight and said with a smile:

"promise."

…………

The decree was passed from Xinzheng to a number of cities under the management of Confucianism, headed by Nanyang.

Confucianism was the first theory of human intervention after hundreds of schools of thought settled in Korea.

The government decree clearly stated that all laws such as the three-year mourning period must be abolished.

Three days after the decree arrived, five counties were still operating as before.

The governor of Xinzheng County ordered the county magistrates of these five counties to expel them from Han.

One person's face was ashen, he resigned and left angrily.

The four refused, relying on the good management of the county, and told the people that the Lord of Chang'an lived in Xianyang, and that the strong governor of Xinzheng County was only under the command of Lord Chang'an, and his orders were not equal to those of Lord Chang'an.

He called on the people to reject the leadership of Xinzheng and said that they would only obey the rule of Chang'an Lord.

Wu Qiu, a great scholar from Jin County, was sitting in the county magistrate's house, drinking tea soup, and said to Fu Sheng, who came from Nanyang to give advice:

"That Shuzi is now deep in Xianyang Prison. How can he have the energy to take care of the affairs of Han Dynasty? You have acted like this, betrayed Confucius, and have not restrained yourself and returned to etiquette, but are you still my Confucian disciple?"

Fu Sheng was angry and knocked over the teapot containing tea soup in front of him.

"Who do you think is talking about punctuation marks with me? It's Lord Chang'an himself!"

In order to preserve the seeds for Confucianism and to leave this great Confucian for Confucianism, Fu Sheng told the truth.

"Even so, so what? He was imprisoned in Xianyang Prison for His Majesty, how dare he show up openly?"

Wu Qiu doesn't care.

Jiang Shang, the Prime Minister, and Lian Po, the Lieutenant of the State, all said that they were guests of the Chang'an Lord's Mansion, a kind of nobleman who knew that he was being played by the two brothers, the First Emperor and the Lord of Chang'an.

Many people speculated that Lord Chang'an was not imprisoned in Xianyang Prison.

"If that Shuzi appears, someone from Xianyang will take action. If that Shuzi doesn't appear, no one can shake the Confucianism in Jin County!"

"You will die! Confucians will die too!"

Fu Sheng glared angrily.

"Chun Yu's lesson is right before his eyes, Meng Xibai was removed from Xianyang.

"Your Majesty, Lord Chang'an, are not merciful people. You can die, but don't harm the Confucians!"

The great scholar Wu Qiu's face suddenly turned cold, he flicked his sleeves and drove Fu Sheng out of Jin County.

Looking at the broken porcelain pieces on the floor, he sneered:

“Confucianism is disrespectful, or is it still Confucianism?

"Someone is coming!"

Confucian petty officials enter.

"teacher."

Wu Qiu glanced at the ground, and the clerk immediately bowed down, cleaned up the porcelain tiles on the floor, and served the teacher a pot of tea.

Fu Sheng sadly looked back at the city gate of Jin County, as if he saw Wu Qiu's body hanging upside down on the city wall.

There was no time to feel sad, so he immediately rushed to the other three cities and argued the pros and cons, but to no avail.
