Chapter 2 Vitality

A scream was heard right next to Ma Jianguo's ears, almost frightening him out of his wits.

"What are you yelling for?!" Ma Jianguo is still frightened. He has not completely recovered from the accident just now. Thanks to the strong guardrail, otherwise the master and apprentice would have to go to see Marx together.

"Master, behind... why did the person behind suddenly disappear?!" Li Dagou's face turned pale, and he couldn't speak clearly.

Hearing Li Dagou's words, Ma Jianguo immediately looked behind the car. Sure enough, as his apprentice said, the back row was empty, not even a ghost!

The tall, thin man disappeared.

I didn't hear anyone opening the door and getting out of the car just now. Even when I braked suddenly, there was no movement at all from behind. Where did that tall, thin man go?!

Thinking of this, master and disciple Ma Jianguo felt numb in their hearts. It was impossible for this big living person to disappear out of thin air. Could it be that...

Ma Jianguo didn't dare to think any more. It was pitch dark all around, and there was a whistling wind outside from time to time. Except for themselves, they couldn't see a passing car on the entire mountain road.

"Master, that person didn't get off the bus, did he? How about... why don't we go down and have a look?" As soon as Li Dagou said this, he regretted it in his heart. He didn't have the courage to go down now.

Ma Jianguo swallowed his saliva, lowered the car window a crack, and then shouted outside:

"Fellow, fellow, is there anyone outside?!"

No one spoke, and the only answer to Ma Jianguo was the sound of "woo woo woo".

The master and the apprentice looked at each other and saw the fear coming from deep inside each other's eyes, so Ma Jianguo immediately reversed the car, returned to the road and drove away quickly.

Sitting in the car, he always felt like something was staring at him from behind, and there was a chill on the back of his neck.

"Master, you said we wouldn't really encounter that..."

"Shut up! Don't talk nonsense at night!" Ma Jianguo quickly interrupted Li Dagou. In fact, he knew in his heart that the master and apprentice did encounter something dirty tonight!

Ma Jianguo drove the car very fast, and his hands holding the steering wheel began to sweat. He couldn't understand why the master and apprentice had never done anything evil, so why did that thing focus on them?!

"Big dog, you listen to me. When you get to the intersection later, you come down and kowtow with me." Although Ma Jianguo didn't know why that thing targeted the master and apprentice, they had been honest people all their lives and had no grievances or grudges.

It won't bother them.

At the intersection, Ma Jianguo stopped the car, and the master and apprentice got out of the car together. They knelt down toward the road they came from and kowtowed three times on the ground.

While kowtowing, Ma Jianguo kept mumbling:

"Every grievance has its owner, and every debt has its owner. We have no grievances or enmities with you. We hold our hands high, our hands are high..."

Back in the car, Ma Jianguo had just started the car and before he could put it into gear, he suddenly heard a "squeak, squeak" sound from the window glass beside him. The sound was like something scratching outside.

Like glass.

Ma Jianguo was so frightened that he almost peed his pants and rushed out as soon as he stepped on the accelerator.

Not far after the car drove out, Li Dagou turned his head and looked at Ma Jianguo and said:

"Master, you, why is there a rope outside your car window?!" When Li Dagou said this, his teeth had already begun to chatter.

Ma Jianguo turned around and saw that there was indeed a hemp rope hanging outside the car window. The hemp rope was knotted and had a buckle on it. The middle was just big enough to insert a person's head. At first glance, it looked like a rope for hanging!

Ma Jianguo had never been so scared in his life, and his short sleeves were soaked with cold sweat:

"Don't... don't look outside. Just stare in front. Just get to the toll station." As soon as Ma Jianguo finished speaking, a man's hoarse voice suddenly sounded outside the car window. Three words could be vaguely heard:

"Hang yourself well, hang yourself well..."

The voice was sometimes hoarse and sometimes sharp. After hearing this, Ma Jianguo drove the car faster and almost stepped on the accelerator directly into the fuel tank.

Li Dagou was also so frightened that he almost cried:

"Master, what should we do??"

The more critical this person is, the faster his brain and blood work. Li Dagou, who is usually not very bright, suddenly thought of a way to save his life at this critical moment: the Great Compassion Curse!

The Great Compassion Mantra is a Buddhist classic that can ward off evil spirits at certain times.

Thinking of this, Li Dagou used trembling fingers to find the Great Compassion Mantra in the songs on his mobile phone, and turned the music volume to the maximum:

"Namo drinks Luo Da Na Duo Luo Yeye, Namo Ajuye..." As the slow Buddhist mantra came out from Li Dagou's mobile phone, the strange voice stopped abruptly!

After Ma Jianguo heard the Buddhist music of "The Great Compassion Mantra", he subconsciously looked toward his car window, and sure enough, the hanging rope that had been hanging down disappeared along with the strange song.

"Keep on putting it on, be sure not to disconnect it. Is your mobile phone charged enough? Plug in the charger first!" Ma Jianguo asked Li Dagou while driving.

"Okay, okay..." Li Dagou said, plugged in the charging cable, and glanced behind the car again. There was still no one in the back seat, but there was an unpleasant smell in the car.

Although it was night, Ma Jianguo was familiar with the road conditions, and soon they arrived at the expressway toll station. After seeing the toll collector, the master and the apprentice in the car finally breathed a sigh of relief, finally seeing a living person.

After getting on the highway, nothing strange happened again, but just in case, Li Dagou kept the Great Compassion Mantra in his cell phone.

There were more and more cars on the highway, and the tense nerves of the master and the apprentice also relaxed.

When he arrived at the first service area, Ma Jianguo drove the car in. He saw that the service area was brightly lit and people were coming and going, so he parked the car where there were the most people and turned off the engine. Only then did he realize that his hands were still shaking.

.

"Master, please take a moment in the car and I'll buy you a bottle of drink." Li Dagou said and got out of the car.

Ma Jianguo glanced at the back of the car and immediately got out of the car. He didn't dare to stay in the car alone, what if the thing hadn't left yet?!

"Big dog, wait for me, I'm going to the toilet!"

After what happened just now, Ma Jianguo and his apprentice Li Dagou no longer dared to go on the road. They spent the night in the service area and drove back immediately at dawn.

Back at the company, Ma Jianguo did not dare to continue driving. He immediately asked his boss for leave and took his apprentice Li Dagou to Beijiushui.

He heard that there was a Green Bamboo Temple there, and its owner Zuo Shisan was a Taoist master who could exorcise evil spirits and destroy ghosts.

The master and apprentice came to Qingzhu Temple. The gate of the temple was open. Ma Jianguo and Li Dagou walked in. When they came to the courtyard, they found that there was only one husky lying on the ground lazily basking in the sun in the clean and empty courtyard.

"Is anyone here?" The yard was quiet, so Ma Jianguo asked.

The husky lying on the ground half-squinted his eyes and seemed to have no interest in these two new faces.

Li Dagou stared at the husky and said:

"Master, people on the Internet say that this husky is a stupid dog and can't even look at the door."

After Li Dagou said this, the husky lying on the ground seemed to understand what he said. It suddenly jumped up from the ground and rushed towards Li Dagou.

The husky's movements were so fast that the big dog Li was thrown to the ground before he could react, and was bitten on the buttocks. He screamed in pain and shed tears...

"Taotie, shut up! Don't mess around!" A voice like a silver bell came from inside the Taoist temple.

After hearing the sound, the husky barked at the big dog Li lying on the ground, then turned and left, not forgetting to wag its tail before leaving.

Ma Jianguo looked along the sound, and was stunned for a moment, because he had never seen such a beautiful woman, so beautiful that she seemed to have stepped out of a painting.

Li Dagou also saw this woman. He even forgot about the pain in his butt and couldn't help but said:

"Master, I seem to have seen a fairy..."
