100 Magicians of the Battlefield

On this day, many desperate rebel soldiers appeared in villages and towns near the battlefield, and even in Konta City itself, which was dozens of miles away from the battlefield.

They rushed into every open tavern, threw out all the coins they had in exchange for drinks, and drank endlessly.

It seemed like this was how they could suppress their inner fears with the little alcohol they brewed, which was like horse urine.

People curiously asked them what happened? Where was the main force of the rebels? Where was Colonel Donald?

Whenever people around them raised such questions, these soldiers would tremble like frightened sparrows, look around in fear, and then tremblingly tell what happened:

They would say: "It was the devil. The blue devil, led by a bloodthirsty devil, devoured the entire army alive."

They would also say that the devil had magic that could make an entire army disappear out of thin air in the fields, and then suddenly jump out again.

They would even say that those blue demons each hold a cannon and like to fire in people's faces. In the blink of an eye, a good army is reduced to hapless guys with missing arms and legs.

Some people even categorically asserted: "No amount of troops can defeat such an army of demons. The entire Konta is in doom. Even if the Pope in Rome comes, it won't be of any use."

Under the exaggeration of these people, the entire Konta area was trembling. Those who had thrown stones at the patriots silently prepared the tricolor flag at home.

In order to make the tricolor flag, the blue cloth and red cloth in Konta City were sold out.

Of course, there were some rational people among the defeated troops. They described things like this: "You know, the leader of the National Guard was a hero of the Seven Years' War and received the Legion of Honor. I saw it with my own eyes. So,

It’s a bigger cross! It is said that he won this honor after capturing six Prussian flags in Prussia!”

Gradually, the commanders of the National Guards who came to counter the rebellion took on many scary titles, such as the Prussian Flag Collector and the God of War of the Bastille, to name a few.

Some people even boasted about the commander's ambush battle that wiped out the rebels, and then gave him a resounding name: The Magician of the Battlefield!

No one could remember that not so long ago they had laughed scornfully at him for being the son of a cobbler.

The entire diocese of Konta was tremblingly waiting for the famous cobbler's son to come with the power of victory to ravage the rebellious areas.

They didn't wait long.

**

On the third day of the war, An Ning's troops just finished sweeping the battlefield.

There was no way, there were too many things. An Ning only had less than 2,000 people in total. With so many corpses on the battlefield, it would be enough to bury them for a day, not to mention the careful search for loot.

After cleaning up the battlefield, everyone in An Ning's small army was carrying two guns. The scene looked... quite strange.

While cleaning the battlefield, Christina's cavalry wandered around to gather information.

It seems that there are no longer organized rebels in the entire Konta area.

So An Ning decided to drive into Kongta City after cleaning up the battlefield and packing up all the trophies that were finally obtained.

After all, my troops have won the battle, so they can't sleep in stables anymore. There are so many monasteries in Konta, so we must go to one to have a good rest.

Anyway, according to the decree passed by the National Assembly, all church properties have been confiscated. Naturally, the churches in the Konta area are also the property of the National Assembly. What's wrong with our National Guard managing them on our behalf?

Having made up her mind, An Ning set off towards Konta City early that morning.

Walking on the road, An Ning listened to the marching music played by the military band, and suddenly felt that his army lacked a song to sing during the march.

Generally, troops with high morale will sing some songs when they march in, such as "If you want to eat vegetables, eat cabbage hearts, and fight with the New Sixth Army," or "Cross the Yangtze River with great vigor and vigor."

In my own unit, I just walked around and listened to the military band playing a song that sounded like the Young Pioneers drum and bugle corps somewhere, which was a bit uncomfortable.

It is a pity that "La Marseillaise" has not yet been composed. When An Ning set off from Paris, he specially found a circle of composers to create a wave of Marseillaises, but failed.

There really aren't any good songs to sing right now, so I can't settle down and just start it on my own. I'll just say "Intner will make it happen", right?

Isn't that too early?

An Ning was riding a horse, thinking about all this. Christina and Clarisse ran over from a distance and saluted in front of him: "Reporting to your Excellency, Captain, there is no sign of the enemy all the way to Konta City. Let's enter."

We arrived at Konta City and told the bishop in the city that our army was about to enter the city."

An Ning: "Didn't the Bishop of Konta run away? He is the number one criminal in the rebellion. He must be taken to Paris for a public trial."

Cristina shrugged: "He seems to have accepted his fate. Maybe he thought that if he ran away, we would burn and kill him in the city, just like the rebels did in the towns loyal to the National Assembly."

An Ning: "This reminds me, Russell! Order the entire army to prohibit robbery in Konta City. Take care of your hands and behave yourself!"

"Yes! Watch your hands and behave yourself!"

The sergeants were already very skilled at passing on messages, and An Ning's orders were immediately repeated layer by layer and spread to the entire army.

Christina: "I'll do some reconnaissance to make sure there's no fraud."

"Well, go ahead." An Ning waved her hand.

Christina and Clarisse immediately turned around and started running.

After this period of running-in, the cavalry have become very accustomed to taking on reconnaissance tasks, and they will no longer clamor all day long to kill generals and capture flags like they did at the beginning.

A few hours later, Konta City appeared in front.

When they saw the tricolor flag of the National Guard, every monastery in Konta rang their big bells, and the bells rang one after another.

An Ning walked at the front of the queue and saw a cardinal standing in front of the city gate of Konta with many priests wearing gorgeous white robes.

Konta City has no city walls, only one city gate.

An Ning rode forward and rushed to the priests before the entire army.

The cardinal saluted An Ning respectfully: "I am Cardinal Hart of this diocese and the leader of this rebellion. Are you Mr. Andy Frost, the magician of the battlefield?"

An Ning was shocked, what the hell, a magician on the battlefield? Me?

Isn’t this the name of Yang Wen-li? This name is unlucky. Yang Wen-li was shot through the main artery in his leg and died!

Don't call me that!

"Hello, Your Excellency, what is magic? It's overrated." An Ning paused and went straight to the point, "I was ordered to suppress the rebellion. Apart from you who just surrendered, who else are the leaders of the rebellion?

"

Hart pointed at the people beside him: "All the bishops of the entire diocese are here. We are the leaders. We will bear the responsibility. Please don't harm the people of Konta."

An Ning thought, not bad, quite honest.

"Don't worry, we are a civilized army, not bandits like the rebels." An Ning paused, "However, we need a garrison. Please free up the most luxurious monastery."
