141. Disappearing workers

Lu Tiao subconsciously wanted to lift the crowbar and think of a way to hit its head, but some inspiration stopped him from moving.

Not only because there were more and more footsteps outside, but also because the doctor looked around the consulting room blankly, and even glanced at Lu Tiao, but there was no reaction.

"It can't see me?"

Lu Tan soon realized something.

When the other party took his head back, he continued to drag the saw forward and quickly disappeared into the corridor.

"But why did it look inside in the first place? Was it the sound?"

"No, that's not right. It didn't find any of its own kind just now. There must be some other reason for him to look into the consulting room."

Lu Tiao thought for a while, then took off the white coat of the doctor who was lying on the ground, turned his mask over, put it on his face, and put on the white coat.

Looking at it this way, Lu Jian is no different from these doctors.

Both the clothes and the mask had a musty smell, but he was still able to bear it. He hid the flashlight in his sleeve, holding a crowbar in his other hand, and left the room.

When he walked out of the door, Lu Tiao turned around and took a look at the departments in this room.

Obstetrics and Gynecology.

At first, he was a little confused. It turned out that those strange beds were examination beds in the obstetrics and gynecology department, but he soon fell into another kind of confusion.

Neither the previous nurse records nor the hospital's own records mentioned that this hospital had an obstetrics and gynecology department, and some nurses even thought it was strange that this hospital did not have an obstetrics and gynecology department.

But why is there an obstetrics and gynecology department here now?

The name of this mission is [Crying]. Does it have anything to do with obstetrics and gynecology?

Why does Nan Hua Private Yan Chai Hospital not have an obstetrics and gynecology department?

Lu Tan recalled the location. According to the hospital's design plan, this room should be a warehouse for the medicines needed on this floor. It was not an obstetrics and gynecology clinic at all.

However, there was no use staying here any longer, so Lu Jian decided to continue exploring.

As soon as he walked out of the consultation room, he saw a nurse sitting at the nurse's station.

The nurse was not wearing a mask, so her chapped mouth was exposed. The mouth had no lips, and her brown teeth were exposed. The nurse's uniform was dirty. It didn't seem to be aware of the changes outside. It was still in front of the table, as if holding a

The pen records something.

But Lu Jian saw that there was nothing on the table.

Or is it that something that should have been there is now in your hands?

He touched the red-covered notebook in his arms.

Lu Tiao saw the stairs. He had to pass the nurse's station first.

The nurse blankly repeated the writing process, even using her own fingernails, where the nails had been peeled off, and the ends of her fingers kept writing repeatedly on the wooden desk. Dirty black blood flowed from the fingertips,

There were marks on the table.

Lu Tan walked slowly past the nurse's station and glanced at the bloody words on the table.

When Lu Tian was trying to identify the words clearly, the nurse suddenly raised her head.

In her eyes, the eyeballs had long since withered, leaving only two pulsating masses of rotten flesh. But for some reason, Lu Tian felt that he was looking at each other.

But the nurse seemed to simply raise her head, facing Lu Tiao who was moving forward, without moving her head, just staring at the place where Lu Tiao passed by.

Lu Tan felt relieved and took a look to confirm

He saw that it said, be careful behind your back.

For a moment, Lu Tan felt as if there was something really behind him.

He slowed down and looked behind him through the corner of his eye, but couldn't find anything.

As he stepped onto the stairs, Lu Tiao walked steadily and was alert to his surroundings.

As soon as he reached the corner of the stairs, Lu Tiao felt as if his trouser leg was pulled by something.

He looked down and saw that there were only his shoes there, nothing unusual.

Continuing to walk up, Lu Tiao arrived at the second floor.

He saw a nurse wandering in the corridor, pushing the shelf of the sling bottle, but the infusion tube of the sling bottle was connected to his arm, drawing the nurse's blood and pouring it into the bottle, but it was completely unaware of it.

It still made a tinkling sound and staggered in the corridor.

Lu Jian did not disturb it, but continued upward.

This time, he was a little more careful when turning the corner, slowed down his pace, and watched his feet carefully.

Just as he lifted his leg, Lu Tian clearly saw a white and tender hand, belonging to a baby, reaching out from the shadows and tugging at his trouser leg.

Lu Tiao's movements were frozen.

His eyes were gray and misty, and [True Sight] allowed him to see this hand. Lu Jian knew very well that this was not a product of this world.

Even in this hospital where it's pitch black outside the window and only the darkness is filled with unknown humanoid monsters walking around, the owner of this hand is still a visitor from a foreign land.

His eyes moved toward the shadows, trying to see clearly the owner of that hand. Although his instinct told Lu Jian that it was best not to try, he still looked over.

It's a pity that there are only shadows there, no monsters, and no children.

However, when Lu Tan looked away from the shadows, he clearly saw that behind him, in the dusty stairwell, in addition to his own footprints, there were a series of traces.

The mark was like a baby's staggering steps, following the friction marks of a stumbling climb up the stairs.

This trace has spread to where he is standing now.

Lu Tan looked at the last place of the mark, which was right next to his trouser leg where the shadow was thickest.

He raised his feet and walked a few more steps, but this time, he kept looking at the footprints behind him that did not belong to him, trying to catch the other party's movements.

However, the footprints remained unchanged, as if they had stayed in place.

Lu Tan turned his head and quickly came to the third floor.

He turned back at this time and saw the staggering mark, which had extended behind him at some point.

Moreover, the mark spread to his shoes, pants, and white coat.

Lu Tiao saw that there was a small handprint on the back of the white coat.

After lifting his clothes, Lu Tan didn't feel any unusual weight.

He frowned slightly and was about to continue going upstairs when he heard a harsh friction sound.

Lu Tan looked at the source of the sound. It was a person walking slowly in the corridor. However, he was not wearing a doctor's white coat, and he was not a nurse.

The man was wearing work clothes, holding a shovel and a faded yellow safety helmet.

Although his face was tattered and decayed, a certain appearance could still be discerned.

Lu Tiao immediately recognized that this person was the missing construction team leader, Liu Qingjiang.

"Why is he here and like this?"

Lu Tiao saw Liu Qingjiang dragging the shovel, slowly walking towards the corridor, stopping at the door of a room, and then walked in.

After waiting for a while, there was no sound.

Lu Tan decided to go and have a look.
