1152Three-win battle

This time there was no smoke rising from the beach. This arrangement was to make the support of artillery and attack aircraft more precise. This was completely different from when the Tang Empire troops landed on their own.

Anyway, almost all intelligence showed that the main force of the Mirage had abandoned its defense line near the beach, so smoke grenades were not used to obscure the enemy's view.

One after another, the landing craft opened the front springboard, and the orc soldiers rushed out of the landing craft with roars, and stretched out their formation on the beach as quickly as possible.

As the intelligence said at a glance, the resistance from the mirage army was minimal. Except for some soldiers in the observation posts who conducted limited counterattacks, most of the orc landing troops encountered no resistance.

Soon, densely packed orc soldiers covered the beach. Even they themselves did not expect that this landing would be so simple.

The Orc officers who had previously observed the landing battle on the South Island all described the landing battle as very scary. They said that the Tang army suffered heavy casualties, and they said that the enemy was difficult to deal with...

But now, they didn't even see the shadow of the enemy. The only enemy seemed to be the sand that leaked into their boots, which made the soldiers who came ashore miserable.

"It seems they really gave up on the beach." Shanlu stood on the deck of a distant battleship, watching his troops land smoothly, and said to the human general Lu Qianshan standing next to him.

Lu Qianshan put down the telescope and said to Shan Lu with a smile: "It's a good thing that it goes smoothly, but I don't think things are that simple! Your troops are just within the attack range of the enemy's artillery... Maybe you will suffer heavy losses."

"Any price... is worth it." Shan Lu's face turned ugly after hearing Lu Qianshan's analysis: Those enemy artillery positions hidden in the inland mountains and forests are exactly what Lu Qianshan said, and they are difficult to deal with.

Most of them are outside the strike range of naval guns, and the concealment effect of being surrounded by mountains and rivers is excellent, so they are not easily destroyed by attack aircraft.

These concealed artillery will soon attack the orcs on the beach, and how to deal with the subsequent battles... can only rely on the judgment of the orc commanders on the beach.

On the beach, at least thousands of orcs had already landed. They expanded their landing site step by step, until a soldier unfortunately stepped on a mine buried on the beach.

"Boom!" The landmine exploded, sending the orc soldier flying into the air. The two orc soldiers around him were also affected. All the orcs nearby fell down. They didn't act cautiously until they figured out what was going on.

climb up.

"It's not an enemy attack! It's not an enemy attack! It's a landmine!" An orc officer knelt on one knee and waved his arms, shouting to the wary friendly forces in the distance.

The minefields arranged by the Mirage Kingdom on the beach are not dense, and the method of laying them is similar to booby traps. These mines themselves delay the enemy's advance, so they are very few in number.

Just when the orc soldiers lowered their guard and cautiously continued to advance, whistling shells suddenly fell among the crowd.

As expected, the Mirage's artillery opened fire, and the hidden observation posts reported the news of the orcs' landing to the rear. As expected, the rear began to use artillery to suppress the beach.

This time, the firepower of the mirage army was well preserved. The artillerymen hidden in the mountains and woods opened fire fiercely, creating an unprecedented momentum.

All artillery pieces, big and small, came to greet the beach. For a while, there were even shells from ancient 7mm mountain guns.

Because they had measured and accurate firing tables, the mirage army's artillery fire was quite accurate. Although the number of artillery pieces was small, it caused huge trouble for the orc troops.

If it weren't for the insufficient number of Mirage's artillery and its scattered deployment, the orc troops might have been directly driven into the sea by Mirage's artillery.

On the beach, screams of the air being torn apart could be heard one after another. Cannonballs fell one after another, raising gravel and stirring up huge water jets of seawater mixed with sand.

The orc troops who were caught off guard were stunned by the artillery fire. Some of the liaison officers even called the Tang Empire's fleet and asked them not to open fire on their own people. They were stunned and thought they were being supported by artillery fire from a friendly fleet.

Injured by mistake.

Before the battle began, Tang's instructors were on board the ship to remind all the orc troops ashore to disperse as soon as possible and expand the landing site to avoid being bombarded by the enemy.

However, the orc troops who did not encounter any resistance after landing seemed to have forgotten these instructions and were still beaten and confused like novices.

The first to respond were the Tang Empire attack aircraft units hovering over the landing site. Stuka and Il, who took off from the new island, expanded the search scope and found some enemy artillery positions that were exposed due to desperate firing.

These aircraft began to suppress the ground, destroying some exposed artillery and reducing the pressure in the direction of the beach.

The enemy's artillery fire suddenly weakened a lot, and these orc troops finally remembered what they should do. They began to launch assaults in depth, and no longer crowded on the beach and became the enemy's living targets.

The Orc troops who came ashore later finally realized the cruelty of the landing battle: as soon as they got off the boat, they saw the sea water dyed red, as well as large and small craters on the beach, and the corpses of Orc soldiers piled up like mountains.

Shanlu, who stayed on the deck of the battleship behind, looked at the miserable situation on the beach with pain, put down his binoculars and sighed. Originally, he thought he would not lose too much on the beach.

But the dwarfs of the Mirage Kingdom only fired a few rounds of artillery, and they almost destroyed the 1st Orc Division, which had been training on the South Island for more than two months.

More than two thousand well-trained soldiers were lost on the beach in a confused manner. Most of them did not even see what the enemy looked like, and they returned to the embrace of the beast god.

The orcs who attacked forward were also somewhat confused about the situation: they saw some half-built trenches and bunkers that were abandoned.

This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content! Near these abandoned defense lines that look like the end of the world are the craters left by the bombardment of the Tang Empire Navy in the past few days. You can even see them on the tree trunks. Splattered shrapnel and exploded shell casings can also be found in the soil.

What's strange is that there aren't any Mirage soldiers to be seen here, but occasionally an unlucky orc will be killed by a booby trap.

The advancement speed was not very fast, but these orc soldiers who were still a little seasick did not find large-scale mirage soldiers near the beach.

They only found some hidden observation posts, which seemed to have been in use and contained new signs of life.

But because the opponent was just an observation post and they were operating in small groups, the retreat was very fast. Most of them had already been evacuated, even the equipment was taken away.

As time passed, the Tang Army's air support gradually began to exert force. Countless aircraft searched for targets near the landing site and attacked wantonly. The Mirage Army, which had lost its air superiority, really had no power to fight back.

Even the pilots of the Tang Army began to attack the exposed Mirage anti-aircraft gun positions. They used machine guns to suppress the anti-aircraft guns, and then covered each other and dropped bomb attacks to clear out these dangerous anti-aircraft gun positions.

The mirage army gradually stopped counterattacking. They hid the cannons hidden in the tunnels inside the mountain. No matter how provocative the Tang aircraft were, they would no longer be exposed.

The artillery positions deployed in the forest stopped undetected and stopped shelling. Everything fell silent. The orc troops on the beach finally no longer had to endure the enemy's shelling and harassment.

The orcs have gained a firm foothold, and some orc elders and the commander Shanlu who is watching the battle are very satisfied. At least they have not been driven into the sea. I heard that the front-line troops are advancing in an orderly manner, and it seems that victory is waving to them.

As for the Mirage Kingdom, General Mirage Wuke also accurately waited for the news of the landing of the Orc troops: he could not judge whether the main force of the Tang Army would come ashore in the future, so there was no way to make tactical adjustments.

However, he still heard exciting good news: except for a few artillery positions that were destroyed by the Tang Air Force, the losses of the Mirage troops were minimal.

It seems that they finally won a victory: they used a small number of troops to cause a lot of damage to the Tang Dynasty's attacking troops - even though they were fighting orc troops, they were also Tang Empire troops, weren't they?

The Tang Air Force also reported many results: they suffered almost no losses, successfully destroyed several enemy artillery positions, and covered the landing operations of the orc friendly forces.

Three Tang Empire planes were shot down that day, and three planes crashed due to equipment failures. However, all six pilots were rescued, which sounds miraculous.

The pilots of the three downed aircraft all parachuted near the beach controlled by the orcs and were successfully rescued by the orcs. The pilots of the three aircraft that crashed due to malfunction were all rescued at sea, salvaged and treated.

A win-win-win battle was born: everyone felt that they had won, and the win was exciting and beautiful.

Mirage Wuk reported his day's results to Mirage Emperor: the enemy was effectively contained between the beach and the main defense line, the losses were very slight, and the morale of the troops was high.

After listening to Mirage Wuk's report, Mirage Emperor looked at Mirage Haiping. As a naval admiral, Mirage Haiping also assured Mirage Emperor that his navy would come out in full force that night to try to severely damage Tang's landing fleet.

Everyone knows that the battle that night will affect the trend of the war. So Shanru, as the commander of the orcs, went ashore in the evening, and the Mirage Kingdom also began to mobilize its troops, preparing to attack the orc troops on the beach that night.

Implement a counterattack.

The Mirage Kingdom did not dare to go head-to-head with the Tang Army, but they were somewhat confident in facing the orcs. So they formulated a counterattack plan and prepared to test the strength of the orc troops on the beach.
