144 Find the murderer

"Ha! Your actions are really fast." Tang Mo felt that he needed to improve the intelligence system of this world and the efficiency of the police department.

Giving these things to the army is really a bit overwhelming. These brave warriors may be very good at killing enemies on the battlefield, but it is obviously very unprofessional to let them deal with this kind of thing.

He was about to laugh out loud at these Beiling officers who were slow to respond, extremely inefficient, and not very good at criminal investigation and reasoning.

"Let's go, go take a look at the scene..." Tang Mo, who looked ugly, finally stood up and walked out of the house at the same time: "Then... take the woman's body away... What's the use of leaving it here?"

The criminal investigation methods of this era were actually very limited, and the scene had actually been completely destroyed by the soldiers who broke into the servants' lounge. They left a pile of shoe prints there and moved the dead maid to the table.

Even the corners of the cupboard were kicked to pieces by the angry officers, and the contents were scattered everywhere.

Except for the corpse of a woman whose face had turned gray and black, the teapot she used to poison her body had been broken into pieces. In fact, nothing could be detected.

Three or four days have passed, and if we can still find any clues about the real murderer from the corpse, it will be a disaster.

Since the other party did it so brilliantly, there is a high probability that they will not leave any useful clues. After all, they are professional in doing this kind of thing, and they are much more careful than the soldiers of the Northridge Regiment.

Soon, Tang Mo led people to the maid's home not far from the city hall. There were guards guarding it, and the things inside were better preserved than at the crime scene.

Tang Mo walked in the room and looked at the messy scene, but he didn't find anything that could be used as evidence.

However, he soon realized that it seemed... something was not quite right here! He frowned and looked around again.

The wardrobe was opened and the clothes inside were scattered on the ground. A soldier standing next to Tang Mo was describing the first scene they saw when they rushed in.

"There are blood stains everywhere, just like what we see now. There are corpses on the ground. The hostess fell at the door. She was obviously killed directly by the person who opened the door." The soldier pointed to the door where Weiss was standing.

Standing there, looking up at the ceiling.

Then the soldier pointed to the living room in front and continued to introduce: "Then these people rushed into the room and killed the man. The two children were in the next room. They closed the door, but the door was blocked by a

Kick your feet away."

"The scene must be very noisy... did the neighbors see anything?" Tang Mo looked at the door of the somewhat damaged house and asked.

The soldier shook his head and answered Tang Mo's question: "We investigated and found that the neighbors did hear noisy sounds and even screams, but they did not have the courage to come over and see what happened."

There is no way, these neighbors are timid civilians, and it may be a bit reluctant to expect them to come out to find out.

Most of these people didn't even have the courage to lean on the window and take a look outside. After all, these were not peaceful years. Let alone bandits and bandits, it was not uncommon for nobles, officers and soldiers to kill civilians.

It seemed that in this regard, there were no questions left. Tang Mo walked to the window with some regret and looked at the street below.

In fact, it only has two floors. It is not a luxurious house. The corridor outside is connected to a circular staircase. This building was actually the property of businessmen in the past.

When the Beiling troops, or Tang Mo's troops, entered the Ice Crystal City, the place was abandoned by the merchants. Those Susas merchants fled the Ice Crystal City with their families, and then the Beiling troops occupied it as a matter of course.

Got here.

After the war subsided, some businessmen came back with the courage to find that the place had been occupied by the Beiling Army, and most of the rooms had been given to civilians such as retained servants or doctors, so they did not dare to ask for it.

As a result, this place became the housing for these "middle class" people. They have always lived here and enjoyed the benefits of allocated housing.

Tang Mo looked at the deserted streets because of the Earl's accident, and tried hard to recall why he felt so slightly out of place in the room just now.

Logically speaking, if everything was normal, he would not easily feel that something was wrong here.

So, he looked into the room again and walked slowly around the room step by step on the creaky floor.

There were dried blood stains on the tables and chairs. It could be seen that the other party was very ruthless and had no mercy at all.

There are also some blocked blood drops on the floor, which can be used to piece together the general outline of a shoe. The person who came to kill had big feet and might be very tall, but these clues were of little use to Tang Mo.

Although there are not many tall men these days, there are definitely a lot of them. Finding the murderer the same way as finding big men is obviously not feasible at all.

Suddenly, Tang Mo saw the clothes scattered out probably due to struggle. He frowned and walked in front of these clothes.

There was a lot of blood here, and it was obvious that a body had been lying here before. Tang Mo looked at these clothes and seemed to be thinking about something.

"The male owner fell here. He should have hit the closet when he was knocked down. Then he may have wanted to hold himself up, but he just opened the closet door." The soldier who saw the scene explained: "

Clothes were scattered out, and some were even covering him."

"Hmm." Tang Mo stared at these clothes without looking away.

"What's the problem?" Weiss leaned next to Tang Mo and asked.

"What did you see?" Tang Mo didn't answer, but asked Weiss.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! "The other party was a tall man, and his attacks were very ruthless. He almost split the woman's throat with one sword stroke, and blood splattered on the ceiling."

"Is there any more?" Tang Mo stared at the scattered clothes and continued to ask.

Weiss continued to answer his question: "Uh-huh... He had a long stride... In addition, he broke open the door inside, and after killing the man... he killed two children. There was no hesitation, because

The amount of bleeding was huge, and it was obvious that the wounds were all in fatal positions."

"Clothes... boys' clothes are all too new." Tang Mo explained to Weiss while holding his chin.

Then he suddenly turned around and told the soldier: "Call the neighbors! Call a few more."

"Okay." The soldier immediately ran out of the door and quickly called a few neighbors. These neighbors were all controlled and had been in their rooms. This time they were handed over for interrogation. They all seemed to have some problems.

Reluctantly.

"This is the last time we ask you. After that, you will be free and can leave here at will." After Tang Mo saw these neighbors, he comforted everyone.

Then, he walked up to an old man, smiled and said to the old man: "How long have you lived here?"

"About 3 months." The old man was very strong and replied immediately.

"Are you familiar with this family?" Tang Mo pointed at the room and continued to ask.

"They almost moved in here with me. I am a doctor and their daughter seems to work in the city hall." The old man answered carefully and naturally: "The man works in the carriage shop and seems to be responsible for repairing carriages.

.”

As he spoke, he watched Tang Mo put a gold coin into his breast pocket, swallowed, and continued to add: "Yes, that's right! His second daughter works in a flour mill...

…”

"What about you, do you have anything else to add?" Tang Mo played with another gold coin in his hand and looked at the neighbors on the other side of the old man who had gleaming eyes.

"I know! I know! Antonio was captured by human traffickers! He was very young at the time and was only found recently!" A child shouted at this time.

"People...traffickers..." Tang Mo muttered this word and handed the gold coin in his hand to the child. Seeing the joyful look in the child's eyes, Tang Mo continued to ask: "What else, everyone?"

You can talk about it.”

An old woman on the side immediately affirmed: "When he said this, I remembered that I also heard the hostess of this family say that their child was lost when he was very young, and they only found it recently."

"Recently?" Tang Mo raised his eyebrows and repeated the word.

"About a month ago, some kind people helped them find it." The old woman immediately added.

Tang Mo didn't say anything, but took out another gold coin from his pocket and pressed it into the old woman's hand: "How do they know that the child is really theirs?"

"You can tell at a glance that the child looks exactly like his father." The neighbors nearby said to Tang Mo in a hurry.

Nodding, Tang Mo looked at Weiss who was standing aside: "Do you think this is too much of a coincidence?"

"Indeed, the return of this child is so weird." Weiss nodded and agreed with Tang Mo: "The other party obviously used this thing to bribe the maid."

"It's quite noble to exchange your life for your brother's." Tang Mo sneered and waved his hand, indicating that a few soldiers could send these neighbors back.

"Tch...how much is her life worth? That's the count's life in exchange for her brother!" Weiss grinned and said disdainfully.

"The trafficker... is tall, strong, and ruthless... did he just leave his name to us?" Tang Mo's face was full of sinisterness.

"He still owes you an arm." Wes said coldly.

"No." Tang Mo walked towards the door: "He owes me a life!"
