641Where is our fleet?

Just when Nangong Hong was about to resign, the waiter sent a new piece of information. After Tang Mo received the piece of information, he was slightly stunned, and then his face became even colder.

He handed the telegram to Nangong Hong. Nangong Hong took the thin piece of telegraph paper and realized how much terrible weight it carried.

Because he saw the message written on the paper, the mirage army massacred more than 100,000 people in Beiyuan City, and it is still continuing today.

"Your Majesty, this..." Nangong Hong raised his head and looked at Tang Mo. He saw an extremely ugly face.

"If I don't avenge this, I will no longer be the king!" Tang Mo clenched his fists and said this through gritted teeth.

Then he looked at the waiter and ordered: "Go and find Loew! I want to know where our fleet is!"

Even when the coastline was threatened by the Mirage Navy fleet, Tang Mo never showed any anxiety, and he never asked where his fleet was.

But now that he asked, Nangong Hong knew very well that Tang Mo was really angry and was really ready to make the people of Mirage country pay the due price.

Soon, Loew arrived in a hurry, and then he reported to Tang Mo that Bernard's fleet had almost arrived in the war zone.

"Your Majesty! Bernard's fleet has left Linshui before and is rushing to the war zone. It is estimated that it will appear near the Mirage Kingdom's route soon." Loew pointed to the map and gave an approximate location of the fleet.

Tang Mo nodded slightly, and then said: "No need to be polite to the Mirage people! We do not accept any form of surrender, we do not want any prisoners, and we will sink all the Mirage ships we see! Don't let anyone go!"

"Yes! Your Majesty, I will telegraph Bernard immediately." Loew lowered his head slightly, and he knew that a real killing had begun.

On the vast sea, on the No. 3 battleship Dongwan, the flagship of the Tang Army's main fleet, Bernard received the message specially sent to him from the adjutant's hand.

He saw the bloody writing on it, and then immediately issued a battle order: "Raise the bloody flag! Gentlemen, your Majesty's will! We will not take prisoners in this battle!"

"Raise the blood flag!" the adjutant repeated the order loudly. Under the national flag and the naval ensign, a bright red flag slowly rose, the signal lights kept flashing, and the surrounding battleships kept flags on. The entire fleet looked busy.

.

"Correct the course! 5 degrees to the port side of the whole army!" Bernard issued the order again. They were already close to the enemy's course, and the entire fleet was filled with murderous intent.

All the battleships were turning slightly. The first three battleships were as large as mountains lying across the sea. Thick smoke spewed out of their chimneys and rolled continuously on the sea.

"Fengshun No. 31 on the periphery discovered a mirage transport ship, heading due east!" Soon, a signal force came to report that the destroyer on guard at the periphery of our fleet had discovered the target.

"Sink it!" Bernard directly ordered.

"Yes! General!" The signal soldier immediately went to convey the order.

On the distant sea, on the front deck of the Fengshun-class destroyer, which was not very powerful in terms of firepower, a 150mm-caliber main gun was rotating, and its slender muzzle was pointed at the enemy transport ship that was turning crazily in the distance.

"Boom!" Without any hesitation, after aiming at the target, the destroyer's front main gun sprayed out a ball of flame.

A huge water column rose up on the side of the transport ship, and the seawater hit the deck of the transport ship like raindrops.

"Missed!" the observation post on the mast shouted loudly to the people at his feet: "The trajectory is left!"

"The trajectory is left!" The people below shouted loudly, and the destroyer's bow hit the waves, rising and falling with the waves.

"Boom!" The main gun fired again, but this time it still failed to hit the target. It is actually not easy to hit a ship at sea.

This requires a little bit of luck, rigorous daily practice, and more importantly, precise fire control technical support.

"Boom!" The third attack still had no effect. The opponent was still trying to escape. The water columns blasted by the shells shot up into the sky on both sides of the enemy ship, but none of the shots directly hit the enemy ship.

However, the distance between the two sides is getting closer and closer as time goes by, because the speed of the Fengshun-class destroyer is very high, at least much higher than the enemy's transport ship.

Both Mirage and Cyric left the high-performance boilers they produced for warships that were in urgent need of good things, so the power systems of their civilian ships were even more expensive.

The common speed of transport ships in this era is around 17 kilometers, which is only a pitiful less than 9 knots. How bad is this speed? In fact, it is no faster than a U-shaped submarine sailing underwater.

How much faster!

Obviously, it is impossible to get rid of the destroyer with such speed, and as the distance between the two sides continues to shrink, the hit rate of the attack is gradually increasing.

This is simply a certain thing. If the sides of the two sides' ships are touching the sides of the ship, it will be really difficult to miss a cannonball.

"Boom!" Soon, the main gun on the destroyer fired another shell. This time the shell landed quite close to the target, making people almost think it had hit the opponent.

Even the sailors on the destroyer cheered, but in the end it was confirmed that the shell still failed to hit.

But soon, the sailors completed the loading again, and then fired a shell again. This time the opponent no longer had the good luck before.

The destroyer fired 30 shells in one breath and finally achieved victory. This shell hit the stern of the enemy ship, and the enemy ship had already billowed thick smoke.

Then the transport ship began to slow down. It seemed to have lost its speed, which was not fast in the first place, and almost stopped in place.

"Boom!" The hit rate was a little lower when hitting moving targets before, but now the hit rate has improved a bit when hitting fixed targets. The second shell blasted out and also hit the smoking target.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! This shot directly hit the superstructure of the enemy ship, and the explosion went straight into the sky. A chimney on the transport ship slowly fell down, looking very embarrassed.

.

"Boom! Boom!" As the distance between the two sides continued to get closer, the small-caliber artillery on the destroyer also began to roar. Large and small shells hit the body of the warship, causing various explosions.

Seeing that the transport ship was tilting, the captain on the destroyer did not issue any ceasefire order - the order he received was to sink the enemy ship without taking any prisoners, and it was his bounden duty to abide by this order.

Hatred can only breed greater hatred. Those idiots who shout for forgiveness are mentally ill. The only way to forgive your enemy is to bury the enemy with your own hands, and it is easier to forgive if you bury them alive.

!

"Do you want to save cannonballs?" the adjutant put down the telescope, turned his head and asked his captain.

"Continue to attack!" The captain answered calmly while holding the binoculars, admiring the results of his victory.

Soon, the deck of the enemy ship that was close at hand had tilted and submerged into the water. The sea surface was filled with sailors from the Mirage Kingdom, as well as wounded soldiers who were preparing to be transported back to the country.

"Give them a treat!" The captain put down the telescope and said, "I have been very merciful."

Following his order, the machine guns on the destroyer began to roar. Tracer bullets swept towards the sea surface like raindrops, and in an instant, the sea water was dyed red with blood.

Soon, another Fengshun-class destroyer came closer, and a semaphore was displayed on the side of the battleship, informing them of the imminent arrival of the main force of the fleet.

On the sea in the distance, the black smoke from three Dongwan-class battleships entangled together and lingered on the horizon, which looked spectacular.

Finally, the Mirage transport ship, which had taken in a lot of water, capsized and sank on the sea, leaving only a bottom covered with barnacles, which gradually disappeared from the sea.

The huge propeller is simply a replica, copied from the propeller used on the free ship transport ship of the Tang Dynasty - but it is not completely copied, it is just superficial, and the performance is probably a little worse.

"Let's go!" Looking at the sunken ship that could no longer be turned over, the captain of the Fengshun-class destroyer who was responsible for peripheral security and search ordered with some hesitation.

The destroyer that had just slowed down to facilitate the attack speeded up again and sailed into the distance. Only the destroyer that was behind was left behind, continuing to tease the unlucky mirage who fell into the water.

Soon, the surviving Mirage sailors and wounded saw a scene that shocked them. The huge Dongwan-class battleship was approaching with billowing smoke.

They could only look up at this giant sea beast, despair welling up from deep in their hearts, because this was the most powerful war machine ever built by mankind.

The Tang army sailors standing on the side overlooking the survivors who fell into the water had indifferent expressions on their faces. They had already learned about the massacre of civilians in the Qi Kingdom by the Mirage Kingdom, so looking at these survivors was like looking at a group of dead people.

Soon more warships passed by here, after all, this was the busiest transportation line in the entire northern sea area.

There should be countless Mirage transport ships here, as well as a huge Mirage naval fleet cruising here.

"The specific location of the enemy fleet has not yet been determined, but the cruiser that came here to carry out the attack mission provided some vague coordinates." The navigator said to Bernard next to the map table, overlooking the map.

He pointed at several marked locations: "They had contact with the enemy fleet here, here, and here, and escaped with their speed... This shows that the enemy ships should be operating within this range."

"Is there a way to find them?" Bernard asked eagerly.

"It's not easy. If they are still there, they should be in this area. If they run out of fuel and return, we may not find anything." The navigator shook his head and replied.
