3. Blush and truth

"Such a thing could happen..."

The girl held an ancient book in her arms, which was filled with words that Jiang Qiao could not understand. It was unlike any other mainstream language on earth.

"It's really interesting. This kind of thing has never been recorded in the Book of Magic."

Jiang Qiao couldn't read the girl's pursing lips. The latter didn't seem to be speaking Mandarin.

Could it be that this light door also has a translation function?

"So, what is the reason that connects two unrelated time and space..." The girl muttered to herself for a while.

Maybe she really had no clue, so she simply lay down on the ground, threw the book aside, and frowned and muttered:

"Hey, why do you have to let me encounter this kind of thing? I'm just a rookie apprentice who has just come into contact with magic..."

"Should I discuss it with Brother Xilin... No, if they find out about studying magic, I will be burned to death as a witch!"

"Okay, although I am indeed a witch..."

"However, such magical things are really tempting to magic apprentices."

...

Ten minutes later, Sylvie finally stopped thinking and looked over:

"You just said that you are not from Paristia?"

In the previous conversation, the two briefly exchanged their respective situations. Paristia is an endless continent, a world that coexists with magic.

"I'm from Earth." Jiang Qiao shook his head and said that the name "Paristia" had never existed in his memory.

"Sure enough, I still can't believe such a thing." Sylvie stared at the ceiling with wide eyes, "Can you survive without magic?"

"Why do you say that, magic is just a fantasy here, and it only exists in the fantasy of various movies and TV dramas."

"Film and TV series, what is that?" The girl's sapphire-like eyes showed confusion.

"Well... it's something that is performed by people for other audiences to see." Jiang Qiao racked his brains.

"Oh, isn't that just an opera?" The girl was a little excited. She seemed to have found a common ground between the two worlds.

"Well, that's understandable."

"In Paristia, traces of magic are everywhere, and the currency we use is a stone containing magical energy." Sylvie sat up and explained seriously.

"Then why did you say that witches will be burned to death?" Jiang Qiao keenly captured this from the other party's previous thoughts.

"Well..." The girl was a little nervous when she mentioned this:

"The Kingdom of France prohibits all private magical behavior... In the center of each city stands a huge magic-forbidden stone pillar. The magic-forbidden stone will prevent magical reactions. Contact magic without permission...

He will be burned at the stake."

"If magic is banned in a world full of magic, isn't this kingdom a bit seriously ill?" Jiang Qiao commented.

Sylvie frowned and pouted: "But with the permission of the kingdom, you can perform specific magical behaviors..."

Her voice gradually became softer. What made her less confident was that she herself was conducting magic experiments secretly, so what reason did she have to defend the kingdom?

"But, this is all for the safety of the people of the kingdom..." Sylvie muttered, with tears in her eyes.

Jiang Qiao hates seeing girls cry the most, especially girls who look so cute: "Hey, hey, don't cry, I didn't say anything to you..."

"Yeah," Sylvie wiped away her tears and showed a standard sweet smile: "Let's get to know each other again. My name is Sylvie. What's yours?"

"My name is Jiang Qiao."

"Jiang Qiao? What a strange name."

Sylvie chewed the name in her heart two or three times before she began to seriously observe this strange world through the light door.

She had long been aware of the strangeness of the world outside her door. At first she thought it was some unknown magical country, but after taking a closer look, it was not the case.

The rectangular velvet sofa, the white-lighting round chandelier, the crystal glass-like table, and the strange black box with someone talking inside.

"Are you sure there is no trace of magic in your world?" Sylvie sighed, "These things look incredible."

"No, in our world, most people are ordinary people. There is only a difference between strong and weak." Jiang Qiao explained seriously.

Sylvie nodded and looked at the coffee table, "What is that?" She stared at the chemistry textbook on the coffee table.

Jiang Qiao turned around, picked up his textbook and walked to the light gate.

"This is the chemistry textbook of our world, and many students have to learn this course."

"Chemistry? Can you let me see it?" Sylvie became very interested in the beaker and flask painted on the cover of the textbook, which looked a bit like the equipment needed for magic reactions.

Jiang Qiao nodded and threw the book over.

The chemistry textbook passed through the light gate and was intact. Sure enough, the light gate will not prevent the transmission of certain things. But the rules are elusive.

Sylvie carefully picked up the book. She didn't quite understand Jiang Qiao's rude actions. In the Kingdom of France, books can be said to be one of the most important things.

She stroked the book and was surprised by the soft paper.

Open one of the pages.

Several big-character headlines popped up in front of her eyes.

"Elemental Composition of Water".

Sylvie's face turned red, and her heart suddenly beat wildly, as if...as if the absolute truth was being placed in front of her.
