1725, I am a nameless dog-slaughterer, pouring liquor into the air and gilding the knife

In Zhao Prison, Princess Zheng was so angry that she bit her silver teeth into pieces. She had never seen such a arrogant person.

Even though he said good and bad things, he just couldn't get enough of it.

Concubine Zheng lowered her head and sighed, knowing that it was useless to say anything else. Yuan Chonghuan had already decided to leave. He was deeply despairing of the Ming Dynasty. He was really discouraged.

It can be said that there is nothing more sad than heartbreak, and he really doesn't want to bother anymore.

Women are different from men. When a woman is a leader, she only considers gains and losses. She considers what is best for her.

Men, on the other hand, mix in too many things. Many times, women cannot understand them.

Men have things that men care about. It is said that men are rational and women are emotional. But many times, men care about many things, such as pretense, feelings, face, ideals, justice, fairness... many things.

If a woman cannot understand, she must be mentally ill. How can such things exist in the world?

Many times, men can do many things that women cannot understand.

It is a very emotional thing that is divorced from consideration of interests. Perhaps in the eyes of men, there is no value for some things, only whether they are willing or not.

Just like Zhang Xiaoliuzi, he ran to see Chang Kaishen and cried to remonstrate. He cried and said, if you don't resist, students will go to the streets and block your door to scold you.

Chang Kaishen said, when students come, I will shoot them with machine guns.

In his later years, Zhang Xiaoliuzi said to Tang Degang, "You see, Zhao Si often scolds me, but she doesn't dare to really make me angry. If I get angry, it will be very scary."

I got angry at that time. If you have a machine gun, you don’t shoot the little devils, you shoot the students.

At that time, my face was expressionless and I didn't say a word.

I said to myself, you old man, you have made me angry. I want to show you how powerful you are.

Then, everyone knew what happened next.

Concubine Zheng was trembling with anger and cursed in her heart, you men are just a bunch of fools.

Yuan Chonghuan turned around and looked at the small one-foot-square window on the north wall.

There was a bright moon outside the window, spreading its radiance all over the earth.

He stopped looking at Mrs. Zheng and didn't want to say anything to her anymore.

The reason why this stupid woman had to hold her back was because she didn't want to give up Dong Lin.

She refused to do it alone and wanted to drag Dong Lin into the water no matter what. If he was involved in this matter and mobilized Guan Ning's army to enter the city to change the dynasty, Qian Longxi and the others would have to consider the army's opinions.

Obviously, after she screwed up, she definitely didn't catch the emperor. Donglin stopped playing with her, so she came to ask for her endorsement.

She tried to use herself to force Dong Lin and create a fait accompli. However, even if she mobilized Guan Ning's army, she could not enter the city. It was just that she refused to believe it.

In fact, she was obsessed with it and refused to admit that she had lost.

Yang Fan had long seen through her trick, and with a wave of his hand, he instigated Lu Xiangsheng's rebellion and blocked the Dongzhimen. It was obvious that he couldn't do something, but he still had to struggle, because he was either sick or something.

In the final analysis, it’s just that I’m not willing to give in.

After struggling all my life, I was almost successful, but in the end I fell short.

Even though Yuan Chonghuan has all his shortcomings, at least he still has the courage to admit the reality.

It actually takes a lot of courage for a person to face reality. He is also a brave man.

"I once left the day to carry a long whip, and I was demoted to the human world for forty years.

But if you exhale three inches of air in your chest, you will not deceive the nine heavens above.

Life is bleak, poetry is like wine, travelers are miserable and rainy.

When you realize the beauty of this world of mortals, how can you let the ancients do it first?"

After Yuan Chonghuan finished reciting, he lowered his head and sighed. Looking back on his life, he couldn't help but smile bitterly.

"In Chonghuan's life, he was determined as a young man to quell the border troubles, clean up the officials, and set the course for the government. He turned the tide before it fell and saved the people from danger. Looking back now, I really didn't know that the world was going to be difficult at an early age. I never imagined that his achievements in this life would be so great.

It's like this. Once you entered the officialdom, you couldn't help yourself. You said too many things that were against your will and did too many things that you didn't want to do. I don't know how many things I have suffered on behalf of others."

"It wasn't until I really calmed down my mind during this month here that I realized that the Confucian classics I had learned since elementary school were fundamentally wrong."

"Actually, the problems of Confucianism have been discovered a long time ago. Starting from the fifth son of the Northern Song Dynasty, they have been reflecting on the problems that caused the dynasty to last only three hundred years."

Concubine Zheng, who was about to leave, turned around and sneered: "This is a problem that has not been solved for more than two thousand years. Could it be that Governor Yuan is trying to imitate King Wen of Zhou while he is in this prison?"

Yuan Chonghuan knew that she was knowledgeable. She was favored by Wanli because of her extensive reading and outstanding talents. When she was young, she was not a particularly beautiful woman. This was a mockery of him in Sima Qian's "Report to Ren An".

King Gai Wen was restrained and performed "The Book of Changes"; Zhongnieu wrote "Spring and Autumn"; Qu was banished and wrote "Li Sao"; Zuo was blind and wrote "Guoyu"...

Yuan Chonghuan smiled and said: "The problem is actually that officials who study Confucianism cannot become the subjects of moral consciousness. This is a fundamental problem. If Meng Ke dies, the Tao will not be preached! If the Tao is not good, there will be no good governance for a hundred generations.

There has been no true Confucianism for a hundred years."

Concubine Zheng was a scholar and had a deep understanding of Confucianism.

"What is true Confucianism?" she asked. Everyone's understanding of this philosophical question is different.

"A true Confucian is a person who can be morally conscious. The officials of the Ming Dynasty are all hypocrites who seek personal gain for themselves under the guise of morality. Where are the true Confucians? They just talk about governing the country and use Confucian ministers."

“The plan given by the sages of the Song Dynasty was Neo-Confucianism, and the sages of the Ming Dynasty proposed the philosophy of mind.”

Others may not understand this sentence, but Mrs. Zheng can understand it.

"Cheng Zhu Neo-Confucianism, Lu Wang Xin Xue." She couldn't help but sigh.

The principles of heaven taught by Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism are the objects of knowledge. The principles of heaven taught by Lu-Wang's Neo-Confucianism are the original order in our hearts and our character. The heart is the principle!

Zhu Xi said that since nature is a principle, it is an epistemological position.

Wang Yangming said that the heart is the principle, which is the ontological position.

This is the biggest difference between Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism and Lu-Wang Xinxue.

The Ming Dynasty officially chose Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism as the legal textbook for the imperial examination, which remained unchanged for 280 years, and the Qing Dynasty continued to inherit it.

In the end, Xinxue was not officially recognized, and moral self-consciousness failed to be established.

It is impossible to establish the unity of knowledge and action by relying on Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism.

In practice, Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism is all fake Confucianism, full of benevolence, righteousness and morality, and all seeks personal gain under the guise of benevolence and righteousness. Wang Yangming believes that starting from thoughts and understandings cannot solve the problem, but must start from the heart. Only accept it from the heart.

Only then can knowledge and action be unified.

The reason why Wang Yangming put forward these views is to solve the problem that although civil servants in all dynasties were Confucian, they understood the truth but were unwilling to do it. In all dynasties, civil servants of Confucian origin were corrupt, which led to the collapse of the court.

Therefore, only by starting from the heart and integrating knowledge and action can we solve the problem of corruption among civil servants in the Ming Dynasty.

If Yang Fan were here, he would definitely sneer at it.

No matter where you start, it's all nonsense. This is a problem of human nature. Laws alone are not enough. No matter how good the ideas and system designs are, they must be implemented by people. Talents are the soul of good governance.

The etiquette of Zhou Gong has been carried out for three thousand years because it fully considers the needs of human nature. Only systems that conform to human nature can be passed down for a long time. Moral preaching is useless for things that no one is willing to do.

Wang Yangming's last words were: "My heart is bright!"

What does this mean? Isn't it just that, no matter whether you can do it or not, my heart is bright anyway. In the end, he could only say that at least he can do it.

Yuan Chonghuan sighed and said: "I am tired after struggling for so long. The Ming Dynasty is hopeless. Even if your son comes to power, he will only be a subjugated king. Why are you still struggling? Just let the world take its course."
