The plot of the original book and the plot direction of this book
Brothers, let’s first sort out the plot of Martin’s original work.
(I won’t talk about the later seasons of the TV series. The screenwriter has more private stuff than many fan authors)
Up to now, a total of five main stories of "A Song of Ice and Fire" have been published. The lines that are more important to the entire plot are:
1. The Great Wall and the Ghost Dragon.
Let’s talk about a setting first: the fire dragon cannot fly over the Great Wall.
The Great Wall of Despair has a magical effect, and this effect makes the fire dragon refuse to fly to the extreme north.
The wife of Jaehaerys I, the "kind" Queen Alysanne, flew the dragon "Silver Wing" across the Great Wall three times, but was rejected by Silver Wing each time.
In other words, the fire dragon cannot appear north of the Great Wall until the magical effect of the Great Wall disappears.
In the series, in order to save trouble, the Dragon Mother directly sent a dragon to the Night King. According to the original setting, this was impossible.
So how should the Great Wall of Despair collapse?
Let's bring in Euron Greyjoy, one of the great villains.
According to the original plot, the Horn of Winter is currently in Samwell Tarly's body, and Sam ran to the Citadel in Oldtown.
Coincidentally, Euron and about half of the Ironborn were waiting on the Shield Islands and nearby waters to attack Oldtown and the Redwyne fleet.
My personal guess is that the opportunity for them to take action was that Victarion Greyjoy used the Horn of the Dragonbinder and briefly controlled the dragon. Euron sacrificed a large number of people and remotely took down one of the dragon mothers.
dragon.
Don't think that Victarion is too embarrassed, his father is the King of the Iron Islands, and he is also a legitimate king's blood.
Anyone who blows the Dragonbinder's horn must die, so Victarion is considered a sacrifice in disguise, and a king's blood can burn a dragon (in the original work, Melisandre wanted to burn Edric...
Storm, created a dragon in stone to confirm the prophecy, and then the Onion Knight let Edric go).
In the series, the screenwriter wrote a plot in which the javelin-throwing Night King captured a dragon, and Martin participated in the general plot direction of subsequent seasons. From this point of view, it is speculated that one of Daenerys's dragons will most likely be killed.
This also corresponds to the two remaining people of Targaryen blood: Jon Snow and Daenerys.
Then Euron went on a killing spree in Oldtown.
Dragon Mother once saw a prophetic vision in the Temple of the Immortal: a giant stone beast fluttered its wings and soared from a smoking tower, spouting shadow fire.
This smoking tower is most likely the towering tower of the Hightower family.
Then somehow, Euron took the Horn of Winter to the Wall, used the horn to blow away the magical effects of the Wall, and then used the dragon to spray down the Wall, allowing the White Walkers and the Wights to move south.
Note that the son of King Beyond the Wall Mance Rayder also followed Sam to Oldtown (Jon exchanged Craster's son with Mance's son to prevent Melisandre from burning the king's blood).
If nothing unexpected happens, this poor child will also fall into the hands of Euron, and then he will be sacrificed to the Drowned God or other gods.
2. The Long Night and Salvation
There is a prophecy in the book that Daenerys, the dragon mother, will betray three times.
Combined with her identity as "Nissa Nissa", Daenerys' third man is the savior of the world, the reincarnation of Azor Ahai.
The first two positions have already been taken, so the screenwriter hurriedly let Jon Snow have sex with his aunt, probably just to fulfill this prophecy.
But the screenwriter who suffered a thousand cuts directly cut off the Long Night scene, let the Night King also give away a wave of heads, and then it was over, directly bringing the dispute between ice and fire to an end.
This makes Jon Snow's betrayal of Daenerys unsightly, because the unscrupulous screenwriter changed the stabbing of his aunt for the sake of humanity to saving Tyrion and the captured Lannister soldiers, and the cause was still Thor
Xi killed Missandei (she was still a twelve or thirteen-year-old child in the book).
The plot of season 8 is so boring. I feel uncomfortable every time I think about it. I have to bring Dragon Mother to life. At least I have to let her liberate Slaver's Bay and Volantis, Lys, Myr and other places, and then give birth to a baby.
Three or four children.
3. The development of the situation in Westeros.
The progress in the original book is that Cersei is still in autistic state after walking around the streets, Kevan has just been killed by Varys, and the rift between Tyrell and Lannister has officially begun.
The plot after this should be that after Kevan's death, Cersei takes over the power of the Lannister, and then madly takes revenge on the High Sparrow (possibly actually blowing up the Great Sept of Baelor).
Prince Doran had to die without any accident. Among the three Sand Snakes, Obara, the most brainless one, was in Dorne, while her two sisters were in King's Landing. They were probably blamed by Cersei. Then Prince Doran was gentle and weak.
Obaya's statement made Obaya go crazy on the spot and stabbed her uncle to death.
At the same time, Randyll Tarly and other governors of the Reach betrayed the Rose House and joined Bronn Aegon's camp (in the TV series, it was changed to Randyll joining the Lannister camp and then sneaking into Highgarden, which is almost impossible)
, Mace Tyrell was not unexpectedly killed at the hands of the traitorous Randyll and the Golden Company during the siege of Storm's End.
In the series, the unscrupulous screenwriter, in order to save trouble, had Mace also die in the explosion of the Great Sept of Baelor.
In the valley, Littlefinger is still actively dividing the Alliance of the Righteous, led by Bronze Yohn. Uncle Finger should be able to easily control half of the valley.
The North is similar to the Vale. It is independent of the struggle in the South and is bent on internal strife. The Loyal Wolf forces led by Wyman Manderly are trying to kill the Old Skinner family who have occupied Winterfell.
The Queen of Thorns and her eldest grandson Willas are stationed in Highgarden, and the military power of the Reach is still there, so once Mace dies and Queen Cersei reimburses some of the Reach nobles, the Rose House and the Lion House will probably fall out.
Afterwards, the situation in Dorne, the Reach, the Stormlands, and the King's Land will be very complicated. I can't deduce how it will develop. Before Dragon Mother lands, each family should be fighting at random, trying to avenge themselves.
4. Daenerys and Slaver’s Bay line
The dragon mother is still on the Dothraki prairie. According to the prophecy of a pair of old women queuing up to see her at the foot of the Virgin Mountain, Daenerys may really go to the City of the Horse King, and then surrender part of Khalasa and become the Khaleesi of the prairie.
.
Then there is the plot of the Dragon Queen taking Drogon back to Meereen. The subsequent plot should be that Dany uses the Dothraki cavalry and the Unsullied to kill everyone and reoccupy the three cities of Slaver's Bay.
Then Volantis, who pretended to surrender, provided a fleet for Daenerys to fight back to Westeros.
The Ironborn fleet led by Victarion will also surrender to Daenerys. In the series, Sister Theon replaced this role.
Later on, roughly as in the series, Dany formed an alliance with the Riverlands and Dorne and began to conquer the Iron Throne and Westeros.
5. The plot trend of this book
For the sake of some exciting plots, I pushed Daenerys’ line forward a few months. In the original book, when Bran crossed the Great Wall, Dany was on her way to attack Meereen.
But this also leaves some convenience for the follow-up.
Next, there are two options. One is to unify Westeros, and first deal with the darkened Euron, the White Walkers and the army of zombies. If you support this, please leave a message in this paragraph.
The second is that the protagonist directly conquers the Stepstone Islands and knocks down several Free Trade Cities. Then, after the protagonist's military strength is expanded, he then attacks the army of white ghosts and ghouls. If you support this trend, please leave a message in this section.
The subsequent plot is pretty much the same. The protagonist and Dragon Mother ride dragons and lead an army to conquer the entire continent of Essos.
Finally, although there is no update today, I still shamelessly ask for a guaranteed monthly pass.
