92. Attrition

The new residents of Lindsay Wetland brought the number of people in Morningside Camp to 977. If members of the Eternal Life Society and Mu Su are also included, the number would reach exactly 1,001.

Soon, the members who went out brought back good news. It was very cold outside, but it was still within their tolerance. This meant that they could still go out hunting during the slight cold wave. But only for members with a constitution of 20 or above, such as ordinary residents or hunters.

Team, they can't stay in this weather for more than an hour.

However, as the temperature continues to drop, outdoor conditions will become more and more demanding.

The members' physical fitness was all above 20. So the three teams continued to go out as before. They put on plush hats and windproof glasses, thick cotton shoes and coats made of mutated creature fur. They were all messy and bloated, and among the new residents

Surprised, I left the warm camp in the wind and snow.

With the arrival of wind and snow, the temperature in the cave dropped from 16° to 14°. Although it would not fall below 10° during a small cold wave, just in case, Joyce still kept the residents busy and used piles of

Bunks and bunks made of scrap metal outside the cave are placed in the first two areas of the base. The temperature inside will be higher even if the power is cut off. If a big cold wave comes and the temperature of the cave continues to drop, residents can withdraw from the cave to the base to live.

Everything was ready, but the problem of food kept bothering them. The entire 11 days of hunting and consumption resulted in only 7 tons of food.

"There are still some people missing..."

The original cafeteria area is now the members' rest area. Mu Su lay on a dining table and let out a long sigh.

The base is brightly lit, and all the lights are turned on as if they are free. Just to make these residents linger on the base and sigh with emotion. Things that were once taken for granted have now become so precious.

According to Joyce, this helps increase cohesion and gives them a sense of identity, rather than just waiting to die.

The streams won't freeze that quickly, and they still have a few days of electricity.

Warren, who was making a music player on the side, couldn't help but do a mental calculation and said strangely: "Counting us, there are 1,001 people in total, that's enough."

He wondered if Musu was worried that someone would die in the winter, leading to attrition?

But soon, he realized how stupid his idea was.

Mu Su, who was lying on the table, seemed to have regained his energy. He sat up excitedly and looked sarcastically: "Don't you know the tentative knowledge that one thousand equals 1024? There are actually five of the Four Heavenly Kings!

Unless you are bored, don't talk to Mu Su. If Mu Su takes the initiative to talk to you, then wish yourself well.

Warren suddenly remembered Anthony's reminder.

It was not too late to think of it now. So he refused to pay attention to Mu Su and continued to make music players.

The player and the records found on the highway are combined with each other. This is what the residents use for entertainment. After the power is cut off, this will be their only way of entertainment. In all war strategy games, happiness and satisfaction are always the most important.

One of the attributes.

But Musu had no intention of letting Wallen go. The member who was so naive and dared to come and talk to him was no longer seen.

A pair of magic hands slowly stretched out towards the defenseless Warren...

"What is this? Megatron who was fucked by the Hulk?" Musu came to Valen's side at some point, looking around his shoulder and landing on the machine with exposed wire parts on the table.

A few minutes later.

Warren hid behind the table. He was covered in cold sweat and covered his mouth tightly, not daring to make a sound.

Behind him, Mu Su looked around for something with a smile on his face. He put his hand to his mouth and looked around and shouted, "Where are you?"

Warren lowered his body as much as possible to avoid being noticed by Mu Su.

"Joyce, why are you here?" Mu Su exclaimed not far away.

Warren was pleasantly surprised. He was about to stand up but became wary. He did not show up immediately, but continued to listen.

"I'm looking for Warren."

Joyce's voice sounded.

Warren was relieved and stood up from behind the table: "I'm here..."

He saw that there was no Joyce in front of him, only Mu Su, with a sinister smile on his face: "I found you."

Warren staggered back and stumbled: "How is that possible! I clearly heard Qiao's voice..."

"It's really a pattern, just the most basic onomatopoeia." Mu Su sneered, pinching the lower part of his neck, and Joyce's voice came out of his mouth: "I am Joyce. Although I look serious, gentle and elegant, in fact

I'm a sultry guy. Every day I would wear only a trench coat and a mask, look for women on the street who don't look like they would call the police, and then go up and harass them."

He thought Valen would be stunned, but in fact Valen was indeed stunned and looked behind him in surprise.

Mu Su turned his head strangely and saw Joyce standing behind him.

"Are you here for something?" Mu Su asked with a calm expression, not knowing at all that he would be caught saying bad things about people behind their backs. It was as if what he said and who appeared were not the same person.

Joyce looked calm, as if he had not seen the previous scene: "A small team has found the ant nest, let's go out to help."

"Should I go too?" Warren asked urgently.

"Yes, everyone."

The snowfall brought by the slight cold wave helped the three teams who went out to search. The snow fell on the forest floor, covering it with a layer of white, and footprints were clearly visible on the snow, including obvious traces of crawling ants.

A small team followed the tracks and finally found the ant nest.

The busy residents in the cave didn't know where they were going in a hurry until a dozen dead ants were brought back.

Knowing that the hunting team had made a big harvest, some residents who wanted to do something for the camp followed them and came to the ant nest to help carry the bodies. The ant nest was less than two kilometers away from the camp, which was not too far, so Joyce did not stop him.

Near the ant nest, corpses of mutated creatures brought out from the ground continued to pile up into hills.

Ringo and her team assigned the food to the helping residents and asked them to carry it back.

"What sound?"

At this moment, a member next to her said strangely.

Almost at the same time, a shadow suddenly enveloped him.

"Be careful!" Ringo dodged and knocked away the member. He stumbled and fell on the snow with messy footprints. A black shadow fell from the sky with majestic momentum, and then, a few traces of scarlet hot liquid fell on his face.

.

When Joyce and others rushed out of the ant nest, they only found one Ringo's arm.

"Mr. Mu Su." Joyce turned to Mu Su.

Mu Su shook his head. Ringo's star point disappeared.

A level three mutant giant ape attacked them, and it finally fled to the north.

A shadow cast over everyone's hearts. They speeded up the process of emptying the ant nest and retreated back to the grotto.

The members and Musu stayed.

"I confirmed the burning area." Joyce said to them at this time.

Chen Yue didn't understand why he said this now.

"That's it." Joyce looked towards the mountains and forests to the north.
