16. Hurdles and Archery
In the fifth event, the 100-meter hurdles, some players suggested that Mu Su should be eliminated first and then let them compete.
Mu Su smiled coldly and dismissed it.
The moment the starting gun sounded, Mu Su took out his pistol and yelled at whoever yelled to hit whoever shouted. Suddenly, a person came from behind and knocked him down, while another group of people hurriedly tied him up.
"We succeeded!" Someone shouted, and everyone's faces were filled with smiles as if they were victorious. They put their arms around each other and waved to the camera.
Witnessing this scene, Huang Jianxiang praised: "This is the most united scene we have seen since the start of the competition, with all the players cooperating seamlessly."
Bai Yansong nodded in agreement: "This is the spirit that the Olympic Games should convey."
However, just as everyone was celebrating in front of the camera, at the corner of the camera, a figure walked to the runway and looked at the pistol at his feet.
The game started again, or it started a long time ago, and the timer has already counted more than 200 seconds.
The players spontaneously stood on the starting line again, waiting for the order and then rushed out together to compete fairly.
"Three...two...one..."
The word "begin" has not yet been spoken——
Bang!
There were gunshots and the sound of falling. The player touched the bloody hole in his neck and fell into a pool of blood.
Everyone was shocked and looked at Mu Su immediately.
"Uh-huh!"
Mu Su, who was sitting on the ground with his hands behind his back and a piece of cloth stuffed in his mouth, shook his head violently.
So the players looked at the place where the gunshots were fired, and one player was holding a smoking pistol, showing excitement.
The warrior defeated the dragon, but he also became a dragon.
Next, nearly thirty players started a battle around the pistol.
Although the player held a pistol, he was too close and could not respond to the swarming crowd. They fought to inherit Mu Su's mantle and become the Pistol Man.
Madness is like gravity, sometimes all it takes is a little push.
There is a fierce battle at the starting line, and any player who wants to take advantage of the opportunity to escape will be attacked by a violent storm at the first opportunity.
There were many runners on the periphery of this section of the track. They were all runners who had finished the competition and came back to watch the excitement. Amidst the discussion, someone saw Mu Su struggling in the corner and suddenly realized.
With him it's no surprise that the hurdles turned into a free-for-all.
Headaches, bloody heads, screams, falls and serious injuries, gunshots. The number of players surviving is rapidly decreasing.
A player was pushed out of the battle group, staggered back a few meters and fell down.
He only felt that his lungs were burning and stinging, and he had no energy in his body.
A shadow suddenly fell. He raised his head and squinted his eyes. A figure stood in front of him, with the sun behind him, and his face could not be seen clearly.
But he could see the pistol in the figure's hand.
"Musu...?" he asked tentatively.
Musu smiled softly: "Anyone can be a hero, even if it is just a simple act, putting a coat on a helpless little boy, letting him know that life can go on."
Mu Su raised his gun, and just when the player thought he was about to be eliminated, Mu Su turned the muzzle of the gun and handed it to the player with the pistol in his palm.
"Go and prove who is the real hero in this sports meeting."
The player took the pistol in a daze, looked at Mu Su deeply, then stood up and rushed into the battle group again.
Continuous gunshots began to be heard from it.
Mu Su turned around and watched all this silently, feeling that being the mastermind behind the scenes was not bad.
The two guns changed hands several times, and a player named Future Warrior shot and killed a player at close range. However, he was knocked down and backed away a few meters. The general stood firm and suddenly turned his head to look at the player sitting on the grass.
Musu.
"Uh huh!" Mu Su, who had no cloth on his mouth, pretended to hum at him.
There were only four players left on the field. The Future Warrior hesitated. Although the bullets were limited, it was not a waste to use them on Mu Su.
However, just as he raised his gun to aim, a bullet whizzed out and hit him in the left chest.
The future warrior fell to the ground.
The player who killed him sighed softly, but a strong wind came from behind, and a player swung an unknown person's thigh and hit him hard on the back of the head.
With a muffled groan, the player fainted.
"I won!"
The player lost his thigh and stood among the corpses covered in blood, raising his hands and roaring.
"You didn't win..."
A weak voice came, and the player and Mu Su looked at the same time, and saw the future soldier raising his head with his last stand, picking up the pistol, and pulling the trigger.
Bang!
The player fell to the ground, and then the future warrior could no longer hold on, his head fell, and he made no sound.
A breeze blew, and the smell of gunpowder smoke and blood slowly dispersed.
Comments in the live broadcast room began to flood the screen again. Some said it was bloody, and some said it was addictive. Without exception, they were all aimed at this group of stupid players.
Huang Jianxiang breathed a sigh of relief and felt very satisfied: "It was a wonderful hurdle race. But I didn't expect that the final winner would be Mu Su."
Bai Yansong said with emotion: "This is a game, but also life."
"This is too cruel... Isn't it just a game..." After muttering under his breath, Mu Su raised his hand and shouted loudly: "Referee, is there still a need for competition?"
The referee's table deliberated for a while, and a big man said in a low voice: "Although you are the only player left now, the rules are the rules, and you have to reach the key line to pass."
"You mean... no matter what, reaching the finish line counts as victory?" After everyone died, Mu Su no longer needed to pretend, so he stood up and asked.
Countless players watching the live broadcast felt their hearts pounding at the same time.
Doesn't this guy have any new ideas...
Musu acted recklessly and never worried about being eliminated, but they couldn't do it. Most players only advance to the semi-finals in a few projects, and they can't afford to gamble.
An opponent without a bottom line is the most terrifying thing.
Although many players gritted their teeth and chose to break the rules like Mu Su, and succeeded, they can only imitate.
Imitation is always imitation.
Mu Su scored 100 points in the exam, and the imitators scored 90 points in the exam. This does not mean that they are only 10 points different from Mu Su, but that the full score is only 100 points.
Half a minute later, Mu Su crossed the finish line.
"Congratulations to Mu Su for completing the 100-meter hurdles in 7 minutes and 51 seconds!"
Mu Su completed the competition and advanced to the semi-finals of the 100-meter hurdles.
In the sixth archery event, the players protested that Mu Su had a murder weapon.
Mu Su tried to argue: "Referee, this is an archery competition. What's going on if I'm not allowed to hold a bow and arrow?"
The referee rejected the protest, but also prohibited Musu from attacking other players.
At the beginning of the competition, Mu Su shot a few arrows and felt that his accuracy was off, so he decided to shoot at other people's targets to delay his performance.
But I always feel like I've overlooked something...?
When the score was finally announced, Musu finally understood what he had overlooked.
Archery is a total score system. Mu Su’s own target only has 3 arrows for 27 points, and the remaining 7 arrows are on other players’ targets.
Musu missed the semifinals.
After all the games were over in the morning, I went back to the hotel at Transparent Bridge and asked him: "Why didn't I know you could also shoot archery?"
