12. Best Actor

"This is it."

In the evening, the sky in the west is dusk, and the street lights in the distance are dimly lit.

Five people gathered outside the courtyard and looked at the haunted house shrouded in darkness.

It's not entirely dark, there is a faint light coming from the window on the first floor.

"How did you know this is here?" Ye Sanhun asked sideways.

Rabbit pointed to the sign on the courtyard wall: "It's written there."

The word Saeki is quite obvious on the rusty and peeling metal plate.

Several people glanced at each other in the darkness, and Martin spoke first. She said hesitantly: "Mu Su should have gone home... Do we really want to go in?"

"He didn't show up after school, maybe he had an accident..." Rabbit put himself into the role and analyzed calmly.

Several people talked about it and finally decided to go in and look for Mu Su.

"I'm sorry...I, I still won't go in." Brad Dimen suddenly said, took a few steps back and decided not to participate.

As discussed at the beginning, he decided to play the "smart guy" in this horror film.

"Aren't you going to save Mu Su?" Ye Sanhun glared angrily.

Most of the other people looked at Brad Dimen with complaining expressions. His acting skills were not very good, but his face could not be seen clearly in the dark alley, but it was enough.

Brad Dimen's acting skills were much better. He hesitated for a while, but still shook his head and refused: "I'm sorry... I can't do it. I'll wait for you outside."

When everyone was filled with indignation and accused Brad Dimen, Martin suddenly stopped everyone and stood in front of Brad Dimen.

"Stop arguing, let him stay." Martin said softly. "I understand him. In fact, I am also afraid, even more afraid than him. But Mu Su is still inside and I can't ignore my companions, so we go in.

Let him meet us outside."

The other four people were dumbfounded.

Still...can it still be like this!?

Brad Dimen was even more stunned, and after a long time he said in a complicated tone: "Then let's do this..."

If there was no Mu Su, perhaps Martin would have been elevated to the protagonist in this scene.

Just when they decided that Brad would stay and the other four went in, the closed door in the yard suddenly opened a crack.

The players paid attention and looked at a rickety figure walking out from behind the door.

He was an old man who looked like he was about to die. He walked down the steps at the door tremblingly and stood in the courtyard looking at everyone.

Darkness shrouded around him. The old man's complexion was dark, and his face could not be seen clearly in the dark evening. He could only barely make out the outline, and if that was the case, the old man was wearing a towel that looked like a wizard's hat and was wrapped around his head in an exaggerated way.

The old man looked very strange, and the players collectively gasped.

"Hello, old man, I would like to ask..." Martin, a scheming girl, stepped forward and asked, "Is this the Saeki family here?"

The old man put his palms to his mouth, coughed a few times, and said in an old and feeble voice: "Yes, this is the Saeki family, and my name is Saeki Nobita."

Behind Martin, the four of them looked at each other. The plot seemed wrong... there were still living people in the haunted house...?

Martin also thought of this and turned to ask: "That's right, we want to ask, do you know about coconut milk? Sabo coconut milk."

The old man's expression suddenly changed, but in the darkness, they could only see the old man's body trembling, and he said in a horrified tone: "Why are you asking about this?"

There's a show! What does he know!

"Our companion went in to explore during the day, and then never came out again. We were worried, so we came to look for him." Martin asked eagerly, anxiously: "Old man, can you please tell us?"

The old man hesitated for a long time, sighed quietly, and pointed forward: "The Saeki family is in front."

Several people followed the directions, but their view was blocked by the backyard wall and the mansion behind them.

Martin thanked him and prepared to leave with the others.

"Wait a minute." The old man suddenly spoke, and said in a low tone: "Remember what I say, if you want to go in, you must not make a sound after entering the haunted house, never."

Several people stopped, and Rabbit was the first to speak up, grabbing a part of the scene: "I'll remember it, thank you... Do you have anything else to remind you?"

Others thought, yes, this old man obviously knows a lot of things and may be able to get a lot of useful information.

The old man was silent for a moment and said calmly: "If you want to save your companion, go to the attic and have a look. He may be there."

Thanks again, several people left the courtyard.

"I think that old man is a bit weird..." Brad Dimen muttered.

Rabbit said: "Didn't you see that he lives near the haunted house and his surname is Saeki? He must be related to Saeki Kayako... If his relatives turn into ghosts and kill people wantonly, they will definitely be affected."

"I also think he's a little weird..." Ye Sanhun thought, always feeling that something was wrong with the old man.

Behind everyone, the "old man" in the yard gradually straightened his back, pulled off the towel on his head, and revealed a name and a title.

"It can't be Mu Su pretending to be it." Rabbit shook his head helplessly.

"Hahaha, that's true."

The four of them left the alley and walked under the streetlight. They no longer doubted the old man, but they were filled with suspicion after smelling the fragrance.

The old man just now... always gave her a familiar feeling.

Wen Xiang, bathed in the dim streetlight, turned around, but could no longer see the yard.

We still don’t know that the direction of the plot is completely dominated by Mu Su. While being teased and applauded, everyone was still complacent and moved forward according to Mu Su’s guidance.

They walked all the way to the edge of the farmland, but they still couldn't find the Saeki mansion. After some exchanges, the players decided to check out other areas.

The search lasted for dozens of minutes, and the sky turned completely dark. Just when the players circled the house and planned to ask again, they finally found the house with the word "Saeki" written diagonally behind the old man's house.

"As an old man, my memory must not be very good. Anyway, it would be nice to find it." Martin said this with an ugly expression on his face.

They raised their heads and saw the brightly lit house.

Although they are confused as to why the lights are turned on in the haunted house, the players do not doubt that he is there. After all, there is no need for the old man to lie to them.

And subconsciously, they felt that although this house was bright, it had an ominous feel.

Brad stayed behind while the others entered the courtyard. They held the doorknob and there was a click, and the door opened.

There is a hallway in front of the door, and then there is the stairs. The players tiptoe and go straight upstairs.

After a while, a voice suddenly sounded from the house.

"Who are you?"

"Honey, call the police! These people are going to break into houses and steal things!"

"We are not..."

"Not yet, we've reached the second floor! Dad asked me to come!"

"There's a watchman outside! Don't let him get away!"

Brad, who was standing outside, changed his expression, turned around and ran away.

A burst of jumping and shouting dispersed into the night.

Mu Su lay down by the window, holding his chin, and watched a police car with flashing red and blue lights passing by the alley. On the ceiling behind him, black hair spread out like waves, and Kayako's figure quietly passed by.

Emerging from the black hair.

It's another peaceful day.
