Moreover, this is almost the most central location of Ark Island. It is almost the same distance from the four directions of Ark Island in the southeast, northwest and has convenient transportation.
There are many shortcomings. For example, there are no rivers around this place and it is difficult to obtain water. We can only build water storage facilities to collect rainwater.
Like the first location, this place is too open, and just building the wall requires a lot of energy and materials.

Not far from the volcanic crater is the coast, which is also extremely convenient for developing the ocean.
In terms of resources, not to mention wood, there is a dense forest surrounding the volcanic crater, so you can get as much as you want, and the same goes for stones.
As for the metal mines, there is no need to worry. Next to the volcanic hill is the Frostfang Mountain Peak. You must know that the other name of the Frostfang Mountain is called "North Mine"!
Moreover, this place is also very close to another mountain rich in minerals, Yuanfeng Mountain.

Back to the topic, are there no disadvantages to building a base in this volcanic crater?

This place is in the extreme north of the Ark map, and is far away from the southern part of the Ark.
