Chapter 001 Robbery

It was a suffocatingly hot morning at the end of August.

A railway station in a provincial town in northwest China.

Liu Gen, a freshman in college, carried a red and white bulging woven bag on his shoulders, walking among the people in the train station square, heading to the ticket office.

His simple and unruly eyes peeked curiously at every man and woman he passed by.

"Young man, are you staying in a hotel?" A dark, thin middle-aged woman stopped Liu Gen and asked.

Liu Gen smiled slightly at the woman, shook his head and said nothing.

After walking a few steps, a woman wearing a suspender top and a miniskirt touched Liu Gen's left arm intentionally or unintentionally with her body, and asked softly: "Brother, do you want to play?"

Liu Gen thought that he accidentally bumped into the other person, and wanted to apologize, but just as he turned his face to the left, his eyes inadvertently glanced at the bulging breasts of the woman's tank top, and he quickly opened his eyes shyly, as if

I did a shameful thing and speeded up my pace like I was avoiding the plague.

This is Liu Gen's first time to the provincial capital, the first time he has seen such a big square, the first time he has been among many people with southern and northern accents, the first time he has seen a woman wearing very little clothes, and the first time he has to take a train.

To the far south…

Liu Gen was excited and a little panicked. He took the night bus from his small county town in his hometown. He woke up in the sleeper car full of sweat and foot odor overnight, and arrived in another colorful world as if in a dream.

In his impression, the small county town where he studied in high school was already very prosperous, but compared with the provincial capital he saw in front of him, that 'prosperous' small county town had become insignificant, not to mention the poor guy in his hometown.

Ganggou Village is a place where maggots grow, the mountains are covered with loess, and few drops of rain fall in a year.

Liu Gen has a tall and muscular body of about 1.8 meters, with a shaved head that has just sprouted black hair like steel needles. He is wearing a homemade gray linen cardigan on his upper body, and his arms are bulging with strong muscles. He is very restless.

Rolling slightly under his dark skin, he wore a pair of knee-length loose trousers with large crotch (a type of trousers worn by men in the northwest in summer), and Double Star black used football shoes. Liu Gen carried this outfit while walking.

Especially conspicuous among the crowd of large and small bags, two patrol policemen, one tall and one short, not far from the entrance of the ticket hall, glanced at him and the woven bag carried behind his back.

"Captain Li, do you think that boy looks like the fugitive who escaped from prison?" The short patrolman stared at Liu Gen and asked the tall patrolman next to him in a low voice.

The tall patrolman smiled and said, "Gui, don't be so nervous. Does the escaped prisoner dare to show up so arrogantly on our territory at the train station?"

"I don't think this guy is a good guy!" the patrolman named Agui said, spitting on the ground.

In the eyes of city people, such a child who came from the ravines of the Loess Plateau was just a migrant worker and had nothing to do with college students. No wonder he was targeted by the patrol police.

Walking into the ticket hall, there was a cool air-conditioning, just like a girl with a beautiful face throwing herself into Liu Gen's hot embrace, making him feel extremely comfortable. Rows of people were standing in front of all the ticket windows in the hall. Liu Gen

Looking at the electronic display above the ticket window, there were two windows selling train tickets to Nanhai City. He walked to one of the windows, stood at the end of the queue, and put down the woven bag on his right shoulder.

At this time, a man jumped out from between the two rows of people in front. One knee touched the woven bag that Liu Gen was about to place on the ground.

"I'm sorry." Liu Gen apologized.

The man glanced at Liu Gen in panic and quickly ran towards the door.

A woman exclaimed: "My bag...someone robbed my bag..."

Hearing the woman's yell, Liu Gen turned around and looked at the man who had just ran past him, and saw that he had already rushed to the door of the ticket sales hall, holding a black women's shoulder bag in his hand.

Liu Gen immediately understood what had happened, took two steps to catch up, turned back, picked up the woven bag, carried it behind him, and ran towards the door.

"He snatched my bag... catch him quickly..." With a sharp shout, a tall, beautiful girl with a student's hair emerged from the crowd and followed behind Liu Gen.

Running out of the ticket hall, Liu Gen saw the robber running into the bustling crowd in the square. He jumped down the steps at the door and chased after him.

The beautiful girl who was robbed followed closely and ran to the ticket office: "Catch him...he snatched my bag..."

The patrol officers, one tall and one short, outside the ticket hall heard the shouting and shot their four eyes at the door of the ticket hall with vigilance. They happened to see Liu Gen jumping down the steps carrying a woven bag and running forward.

"I said this guy is not a good guy!" the short patrolman muttered, pulling out a plastic black baton from his waist.

The tall patrolman shouted at Liu Gen: "Stop...", pulled out his baton and took the lead in pursuit.

Liu Gen was only chasing the person in front of him, but he didn't know that two patrol policemen were outflanking him from the side.

The tall patrolman ran faster, caught up with Liu Gen, and swung the black plastic baton at the back of Liu Gen's head.

Liu Gen ran too fast, and the patrolman's baton failed to hit his head, but hit the woven bag behind him.

"Watch where you are going..." the tall patrolman shouted again from behind, and waved his baton at Liu Gen's head again.

Hearing someone shouting from behind, Liu Gen turned around and glanced, just as the police baton was coming towards his door with the sound of wind, he quickly lowered his head to avoid the blow to the head.

The shorter patrolman arrived just in time, waved his baton and swept it towards Liu Gen's left leg.

Liu Gen dodged the blow from the tall patrolman and wanted to defend himself, but the short patrolman's plastic baton hit the crook of his left leg, so he had to jump to avoid it.

Perhaps the short patrol officer used too much force. He wanted to break Liu Gen's left calf with a stick so that he could no longer run away, but he didn't expect that a boy carrying luggage on his body actually jumped up with his feet very quickly to avoid it.

The short patrolman couldn't hold back his hand with this stick. The baton was swept away and hit the tall patrolman's right leg. He heard a muffled grunt and the tall patrolman sat down on the ground and hugged the body hit by the baton with both hands.

My calf hurt so much that I grinned and cursed at my mother.

The short patrolman was stunned, but Liu Gen took advantage of this moment to glance at the fleeing man and saw him dashing left and right in the crowd, and even knocked down a woman holding a child with his palm.

Liu Gen threw the woven bag on his shoulder to the short patrolman and said, "Look at the bag for me..." He turned around and quickly chased after the robber in front of him.

Perhaps the woven bag was too heavy, or the willow root was thrown too hard. The short patrolman was unprepared, and he was relatively short. Before he could reach out his hands, the woven bag hit him hard, knocking him backwards.

He took two steps, failed to stand firm, and fell down on the concrete floor. The big cap on his head fell behind him, rolled twice, and covered the feet of a woman wearing high-heeled leather sandals. This woman looked like

As if he had been bitten by a snake, he screamed and kicked up the hat, which was just over a person's height. When the hat fell, it landed on the head of a beggar who had broken both legs.

The beggar thought that something was falling from the sky, so he smiled and grabbed the brim of his big hat with a pair of dirty black hands.

The short patrolman rolled over and got up from the ground. He looked back and saw the big cap holding the beggar's long, messy hair. He rushed forward to take the hat back, but the beggar refused to let go and shouted: "This is mine!"

It made the onlookers burst into laughter.

The short patrolman was knocked down by the woven bag. He was so angry that he had no place to vent his anger. He hit the beggar's hand holding the brim of his hat with his baton and said, "You deserve it!" He snatched the hat and put it on his head haphazardly, with the brim tilted to the right.

He turned around and wanted to say hello to the tall patrolman who was knocked down by him.

The tall patrolman pointed at Liu Gen's back and roared angrily: "What are you doing standing there in a daze! Why don't you chase after me..."

Only then did the short patrolman come to his senses. He held down the big cap he had snatched from the beggar with his left hand and held his baton in his right hand. He shouted, "Watch where you are going..." and followed Liu Gen in pursuit.

The beautiful girl whose bag was robbed panted and ran to the tall patrolman who was still sitting on the ground, stamped her feet and said: "Wrong..."

"Who was at fault?" the tall patrolman asked, rubbing his right calf where he was hit by the baton.

"You... made a mistake..." The beautiful girl covered her stomach with her left hand, bent over and gasped for air. She pointed her right hand at the back of the short patrolman in front of her and said, "It wasn't him... who snatched my bag... it was the man in front of me.

…”

"Nonsense! Of course it's not possible that he robbed your bag!" the tall patrolman said angrily.

"Oh...I'm not talking about you...it was the man at the front who snatched my bag..." The beautiful girl stamped her foot again. She was so angry that she didn't want to talk nonsense with the tall patrolman anymore, and followed the short patrolman.

Run forward.

The tall patrolman resisted the pain and tried to stand up, muttering: "This kid is so damn cruel, he almost broke my legs... Ouch..." He limped forward and tried to move forward with his injuries.

He chased, walked a few steps, looked back at the woven bag, walked back, and yelled at the onlookers: "What are you looking at! The police are handling the case! They are all gone!" Slowly squatted down, opened the zipper of the woven bag,

Use the pager hanging on the left shoulder to call your companions: "A robbery has occurred. I was injured. I have intercepted the robbed bag. The criminal is on the run. Agui is chasing the fugitive. Please support...".

When Liu Gen was in high school, he was famous for his speed. At every sports meeting, he was the sprint and middle-distance running champion, and he was also the main forward of the school football team. His physical fitness and speed were better than those of the "pot kickers" who had embarrassed Chinese football countless times.

'They are still strong.

Without the heavy woven bag, Liu Gen ran even more briskly, and after a while, he caught up with the robber.

The robber was running out of breath. He kept turning his head and looking back. He saw that the pursuer was getting closer and closer. He cried and said: "You...why are you still chasing..." It seemed that he was running very hard.

After leaving the train station square, I turned into a small alleyway lined with shops on both sides. I felt that my feet were weak, my chest was panting, my throat was sweet, and I couldn't run anymore. I simply stopped, turned around, and took some money from my trouser pocket.

Pulled out a switchblade.

"Stop..." The robber bent over, breathing heavily, holding the knife in his right hand, out of breath, pointing at the willow root, his facial muscles twisted, and said with a cry: "You... don't come here..." Both hands

He staggered back and asked Liu Gen with a grimace: "Aren't you tired? Why are you... chasing me so hard..."
