Chapter Thirteen Zhe Yang's Respected Person

For Ye Yizhe, these words left by his wife before she left will always come to mind when he thinks about his master when he is old.

Naturally, he would not suspect that his wife had deceived him, but he had not thought of it.

He knew that he was important, and he knew that his master cared about him, but he didn't know that it had reached such a point.

His wife's words shocked him deeply, but it was not until a long, long time later that he truly understood the meaning of these words. At that time, he was already in his thirties, and he still couldn't help but shed a series of tears, unable to extricate himself.

However, that was a long, long time later.

Now Ye Yizhe, after a night's rest, got up full of energy, said hello to his master and went to the foot of the mountain. He kept walking along the edge of the snow-capped mountains outside the town. Although the road was narrow, there were many people who fled here every year.

It's quite a bit, but for someone like him who is used to it, it's no different from the broad road.

Looking at this road, he couldn't help but feel a little emotional.

Back then, it was the master who took him and was forced to leave the White Horse Temple. Then the master never went back. Only he would often go back along this road to see, not to see his senior brother, but to see the gatekeeper there.

old man.

Here is the only way to the White Horse Temple.

The current White Horse Temple is naturally empty. It has lost a lot of popularity since the master left. With the senior brother leaving this time, there are no more lecturers there. The once prosperous Buddhist holy place has turned into a lonely place.

It's endlessly disappointing.

But even so, Ye Yizhe still wants to go.

Few people know that Zhe Yang, who is regarded as a living Buddha by everyone in Plateau Province, actually has people he admires and truly admires. The old janitor Ye Yizhe is going to see now is one of them.

Most of the people who have witnessed Zhe Yang's rise from obscurity to his current status have passed away, but he is still here.

From the time Zheyang first stepped into the White Horse Temple sixty years ago, he was the gatekeeper there as a teenager. Until today, he is still.

The people who listen to the master's lectures the most are not those who come every day, not Ye Yizhe, not Sang Teng, not everyone who is well known to outsiders, but this old man who has been waiting for the White Horse Temple all his life.

Every year, Ye Yizhe would go to Baima Temple once. He would carry two bottles of fine wine, some cooked food, and some tobacco, and go up the mountain to visit the old man named Lin Fengxian.

No matter it's windy or rainy, or it's freezing cold, he never leaves White Horse Temple for a day. Old man Lin, who listens to Zheyang's lectures every day, remembers more scriptures in his mind than he, the so-called disciple of Zheyang.

Duo, when he was still in Plateau Province, he would live there for a period of time every year, accompanying old man Lin and telling interesting stories about his life. His topic was always about Zhe Yang. The master was the person he respected the most.

Although he had never visited the master, and the two of them had never met each other since they left White Horse Temple, it did not prevent them from mentioning many things to each other and thinking of each other's mentality.

He is always very funny when he speaks, and the stories that Ye Yizhe has heard many times will make him feel fresh and interesting. It must be said that apart from the two masters, this old man Lin is the only one who has achieved his achievements today. Although

He didn't teach him anything in substance, but he gave him a very clear example through his lifelong persistence in White Horse Temple.

Persistence, as long as you persist in everything, you will succeed.

He did not think that those so-called masters could rival Old Man Lin in terms of true Buddhist attainments.

Even his senior brother might be a little behind him.

However, except for him and the master, no one knew about his situation. They all regarded him as an ordinary janitor. The senior brother also thought so. It can be said that everyone was wrong about this.

He was not someone that Old Man Lin thought he could be friends with. He was absolutely owed every word. The result was that except for himself and his master, he had not said a few words to anyone else for so many years.

A person who sticks to some of his own ideas and dreams for decades is worthy of respect.

In this snowy peak, located in the northwest of Mozhen, everyone knows that there is the entire holy land of Tibetan Buddhism, Holy Land Rinpoche.

It is impossible to see anything from the map, and it is even impossible to look inside from the outside. Only when you come here, you will find that there is something hidden in the middle of the snow-capped mountains that stretches for an unknown number of miles.

Such a small palace, which is not grand, looks no different from other xi zang temple buildings from the outside. The only difference is that the space inside the earthen wall is slightly larger. It is not compared with other temples.

But it is much larger than the main temple in the center. Looking from a slightly higher place, it looks like an empty temple. If you look closely, it is not as stacked with mountains as other well-known Tibetan temples.

Only the existence of the building in the middle sets off the entire temple, which is so deserted. The towering pointed object sticks out there as always, like a stupa, which is awe-inspiring.

At the entrance of the temple, on the dilapidated door, it is no longer possible to make out what words are written on it. If you look carefully, you can vaguely see traces of "Ma" in the middle of the yang, but it is not clear.

White Horse Temple, a place that records inheritance and has a history of thousands of years, has declined in Zheyang's generation.

The master must also be very sad?

Otherwise, he wouldn't have stayed here for so many years, and was finally left to Senior Brother Santeng, but he didn't persist.

As long as you persist here, you are destined not to reach a high position. Zheyang is also the only living Buddha who has emerged here in so many years. The others are probably in other places and famous temples. Most of them are

From the Potala Palace.

Because the long history has brought enough popularity, it is naturally much easier for them.

In this deep mountain and old forest, a place that most people would never come to, the hardship and the toughness required to achieve unparalleled achievements are all top-notch.

In fact, it is not unknown here.

A long time ago, this place was much more famous than the so-called Potala Palace.

There is a religious classic that says: "Baima Gang, the pure land of Buddha, is the most extraordinary among holy places."

The so-called Baima Gang refers to Mo Town, and the origin of Baima Gang has nothing to do with Baima Temple.

You must know that this is the place where Master Padmasambhava achieved enlightenment and became a Buddha. However, in order to save all sentient beings, Master Padmasambhava left here after his enlightenment. This place was gradually forgotten by the world until the rise of Living Buddha Zheyang again.

In a place like this, guarding the door without leaving behind, this kind of Buddha nature is not something ordinary people can have.

"Old man Lin, where are you? I'm here."

Looking at the familiar White Horse Temple, Ye Yizhe shouted loudly at the door. The senior brother was gone and the place seemed to be empty. He no longer had to worry about affecting Taoist lectures. Anyway, no one was there at all, so he could be more unscrupulous.

.

When he came here before, he always walked in secretly, and then left quietly after bragging with Old Man Lin.

Strange to say, since he and his master left the White Horse Temple, he and his senior brother were not as close as before. I don’t know if it was a young intuition or just an illusion caused by his pride. He always felt that his senior brother had started to

There was something wrong with the look in his eyes for two or three years, and then the feeling disappeared, but it still made him feel like there was something in his heart, although he still doesn't know what it is.

And every time he came here secretly, he found Old Man Lin and didn't say hello to his senior brother, so he didn't know much about it most of the time.

Even if he knew, he wouldn't care too much. A janitor can't cause much trouble at all. Everyone will think so, and the senior brother who has always been conceited will be like this.

When he was young, his senior brother taught him not to deal with people from different religions, for fear that he would go astray. If he really knew what he was doing in Jiangzhou now, he would probably sever ties with him without even a second thought.

A little fortitude is what he thinks is his senior brother's biggest flaw.

Seeing his senior brother again this time, he felt that he was much calmer and his eyes lacked a lot of sharpness. Ye Yizhe felt relieved in his heart.

Before coming back, what he was most afraid of was that his senior brother and master would become stubborn and confront each other because of the Potala Palace matter. Previously, whenever he mentioned this matter on the phone, the master and his wife would always keep it secret and not talk about it.

The topic was to tell him not to ask again, so he was always worried.

It wasn't until he met his senior brother that he felt relieved.

No one came here for a long time. Ye Yizhe's voice suddenly sounded, and the sound of birds flying in the forest was heard, with their wings fluttering and flying.

"You are the only one who dares to make noise in the Buddha's place."

At this time, a voice sounded from in front of him, the words contained reproach, but more of a doting feeling.

The gate of White Horse Temple slowly opened, and the image of a very ordinary old man was revealed in front of Ye Yizhe. When he saw that the person at the door was indeed the person he thought, the old man turned around and walked back without closing the door without saying a word.

Ye Yizhe followed him without hesitation, walked to his side, and said with a playful smile: "Isn't there no one here now? Why should I care so much?"

Old Man Lin obviously had nothing to do with him. He could only shake his head and said: "You are such a big man, but you are still the same as when you were nine years old."

Following him to the place where he lived, looking at Old Lin who was still living in the concierge even though there was no one around, Ye Yizhe felt a surge in his heart and said at the same time: "Grandpa Lin, why are you bothering?"

Why bother? Why bother to be so tired? Isn’t it good to let yourself rest? Even if you don’t rest, living in this dark and cold concierge, why not enter the White Horse Temple, there are so many monks’ rooms, which one is not warmer than this one?

Woolen cloth?

He had no choice. What he chose was the same as before. He had never sought change for sixty years.

Old man Lin knew what he meant very well. He smiled lightly, looked at Ye Yizhe and said, "I promised my father that there are some things that I will stick to with my life. This is my Buddha." h
