Chapter 24 You can try

Dongchen looked at Sieg, and without saying a word, he pulled Christina back to the hover car and closed the door with a bang.

He understood what Sieg was doing and would have made the same decision if he had changed positions.

"I feel like we're going to be in big trouble." Bergbird pulled the screen closer, and Dongchen looked at the squirming pieces on the ground with a very ugly look on his face.

"Christina, let me ask again, are you sure these ghost things are related to the vampires?"

"Yes. I feel the flavor of the vampires in them. Although they are not pure, they are definitely vampires."

Silently stroking the pattern on the scabbard, Dongchen stared at the piece of meat, with an unknown meaning flashing in his eyes.

The battle of the Knights is over.

They reacted too slowly and missed the best opportunity at the beginning. Under the sudden attack of this strange monster, they lost a lot of manpower.

The commander gathered his team and confronted the mercenaries.

"Ziege, why don't you help?" He asked in a completely condescending tone, and the commander's face turned black and livid.

"Praise my Lord, my Lord is almighty. This is the Lord's test for you. We will not do anything thankless." Sieg said jokingly, without any respect for the so-called Lord.

"You will regret it." The commander looked at his men, almost all of whom were injured, and then at Sieg's intact men, and roared angrily.

Sieg threw him a slap on the back of the head: "Brothers, clean up and let's go home."

Roar...go home.

The convoy was almost the same as when it came, and it was clearly divided into two groups, as if there was an invisible line in the middle. Dongchen lay on his back on the chair, looked at the two groups, and started thinking.

The afterglow of the setting sun shone on the earth. The cardinal looked at the scarred knights with a look of concern: "Oh, poor children, what happened to you?"

The commander, who was intact, put the blame on Sieg's side.

The bishop's eyes swept through the crowd, and Siege raised his middle finger disdainfully.

The mercenaries shouted, the knights were damaged, and they now have the upper hand. Although the number is still not as large as the opponent's, the combat effectiveness is not based on numbers. Otherwise, humans would not be alive today.

The cardinal changed his face slightly at the mercenaries' behavior: "Children, this is the Lord's test for you. Those who sacrificed will return to the arms of the Lord. You should be proud of them."

"Praise be to my Lord, my Lord Almighty."

Except for the mercenaries, everyone present shouted.

"Let's go have a drink at the bar?" Siege looked at the crowd lonely and suddenly suggested to Dongchen.

Dongchen looked at him, then at the enthusiastic crowd, and nodded.

The mercenaries turned around in despair, and the madmen began to divide the spoils. Dongchen seemed to understand something.

In the empty streets, people from one family after another passed by the mercenaries in twos and threes. They shouted "My Lord Almighty" and ran forward for fear of being left behind.

No one cares about the mercenaries, no one even looks at the mercenaries, as if they are nothing.

A woman fell down, and her face turned pale.

Christina walked over: "You are sick, don't move around, I will help you take a look."

"No, I don't need you to look at it. This is the Lord's test for me. The Almighty Lord will bless me, so get out of my way."

The woman's strength was very small, but Christina was pushed aside. Dongchen supported her and watched the woman climb up with difficulty, picked up the basket on the side, and swayed forward. She struggled as she walked.

Shout to my Lord Almighty, my Lord bless you.

"You can't help her." Sieg stopped, and the mercenaries were silent.

"Without timely treatment, she will die." Christina muttered to herself as she looked at the woman's retreating figure.

Haha... Are you going to die? It's okay to be dead...

After the sad and desolate laughter, Sieg waved his hand: "Let's go drink, kind-hearted girl, this is reality."

Grasping Christina's hand with force, Dongchen looked away from the woman, with deep sadness in his eyes: "This is not your fault."

Who is right? Who is wrong?

A confusing account in the last days.

In the bar, the mercenaries were venting like crazy. They were drinking heavily. A few drunken female mercenaries came to the table and started writhing wildly. Everyone seemed very happy and indulgent.

"Come on, brother, let's have a drink. Today or tomorrow, let's drink."

After taking the strong drink that Sieg pushed and gulping it down, Dongchen saw in this man an indescribable sadness.

"We drink."

Bergbold hugged Anne and hid with Christina. They didn't feel comfortable with it. The bar owner poured a glass of water for them: "Drink, this will definitely be fine."

"Sorry, that's not what we meant."

"Nothing." The boss smiled nonchalantly: "It's better to be cautious. Only by being cautious can you live longer."

As she spoke, she swung her glass and left. The bar owner joined the carnival team. Only then did Christina discover that the owner only had one hand and the other was empty. No wonder he was always leaning sideways.

The mercenaries' carnival became even more heated as the boss joined in. This contagious atmosphere lasted until a group of people arrived...

"Mr. Bishop, what are you doing in my territory?" Sieg said with a gloomy face, not knowing what these uninvited lunatics wanted to do.

The bishop did not speak. The commander standing next to him raised his hand and pointed at Dongchen: "We are here to arrest people. The Almighty Lord guides us. It is these outsiders who have attracted monsters. We will burn them to death."

Burn them! Burn them! Burn them! Burn them!

"I hate religious lunatics." Bergbird hugged Anne nervously, searching for escape routes with his small eyes. He held an energy gun concealed in his hand.

Dongchen looked through the door at the crowd of people outside, grabbed the scabbard of his sword, and wanted to take action.

Sieg pressed it.

"Leave it to me."

Looking directly at Siege with murderous intent, Dongchen nodded in response to the man's unflinching gaze, but did not put the sword back on the bar.

Boom! Boom!

Pushing away the crowd with firm steps, Sieg pushed away the commander who was blocking the way, and stood in front of the cardinal: "The monster thing has nothing to do with them, let them go."

"The Almighty Lord gives me guidance. My child, do you want to disobey the Lord's will?"

The cardinal's tone was calm.

Sieg stared at him: "I said, let them go."

"The will of the Lord cannot be resisted. My child, do you want to blaspheme?"

The cardinal's voice was very displeased, with an inexplicable majesty, and the crowd became excited again. Some of them even shouted that they should be burned to death together with Zig.

Dongchen closed his eyes and slowly drew out his sharp sword. The slightly curved arc blade looked like moonlight.

The eyes of the knights who were staring closely at him were dazzled. Dongchen's disappearing figure appeared behind the cardinal. The sword held upside down forced the cardinal's back. Murderous intent suddenly burst out, and the scene instantly became silent.

"Holy stick, who do you want to burn to death?" Dong Chen glanced around with disdain, his calm eyes filled with endless ridicule and contempt: "I admit that there are many of you, maybe you can kill me. But, I

I can guarantee that you will definitely take the first step before I die. If you don’t believe me, you can try it.”
