Chapter 6 The Crow and the Mermaid

"That's right! We found it!"

"It's absolutely true! Please invite Mr. Karasuma here immediately!"

Smith and Qianjian, who were initially frightened by the death threats, reacted to the roar of "Qingshan" and echoed loudly.

The housekeeper stared at the three of them. For a long time, he waved his hand. The four men in black behind him put away their guns at the same time, and the man in black who was closest to the door quickly ran out.

"You'd better really find the treasure...otherwise..." the butler said solemnly.

Qianjian and Smith breathed a sigh of relief at the same time, lay down on the wall again, and raced against time to continue cracking the wall clock mechanism.

The housekeeper stared at them coldly and said nothing.

"The minute hand rotates twelve more times counterclockwise!"

The two said in unison.

In a quiet environment, they had mastered certain rules and quickly found the third mechanism node of the pointer.

Not long after, a wheelchair was pushed slowly into the room where the atmosphere was tense and tense.

Karasuma Renya has arrived.

After entering the room, he did not speak, but calmly looked at Qianjian and Smith, whose shirts were completely soaked.

Finally, after completing the first three steps and rotating the minute hand clockwise, they heard a crisp "click".

The next moment, the wall clock, which could not be pulled off no matter how hard it was, automatically fell off the wall.

In a panic, the two of them failed to catch the free-falling wall clock, causing it to hit the ground heavily.

Smith quickly picked it up from the ground and held it in front of him for a closer look.

On the side, the sharp-eyed Qianjian noticed a flash of dark golden light on the cracked shell of the wall clock, and shouted with excitement: "Gold! This entire wall clock is made of gold!"

What greeted him was deathly silence.

Qianjian, whose face was originally flushed due to excitement, realized something was wrong and turned pale.

"Is the treasure you found just this golden wall clock?" Renye Karasuma asked softly.

"It's really...nothing for me to look forward to."

After saying that, he lay back tiredly and closed his eyes.

The wheelchair turned and headed towards the door. The butler raised his gun and pointed it forward.

They all feel that they have been fooled - with the financial resources of the Karasuma family, does a wall clock made of just one side of gold deserve to be called a treasure, which Karasuma Renye has cherished for so many years?

"Wait a minute."

Yuan Huaiyu, who had been holding his arms as if he was staying out of the incident, suddenly spoke, and then with lightning speed, he came behind Qianjian and Smith. He opened his hands, a cold light flashed through, and two silver needles instantly pierced the two of them.

The back of a person's neck is three inches deep.

In the eyes of the two people, who were shocked and puzzled, Yuan Huaiyu pulled out the silver needle. Qianjian and Smith's vision went dark, and they lost consciousness and fell to the ground.

In order to prevent them from falling and causing a violent impact, Yuan Huaiyu supported their bodies with his hands and made them lie on the ground stably.

The golden clock that Smith was holding was also gently placed on the dining table in front of him.

The butler made a puzzled application, and Karasuma Renya's wheelchair also stopped moving.

Yuan Huaiyu stood up straight, looked at the five dark gun muzzles facing him with a smile, and said calmly: "Why are you so anxious?"

The housekeeper couldn't understand the meaning of this sentence for a while.

He looked at the man in front of him with a relaxed face and no trace of fear, and said cautiously: "If I remember correctly, your name is...Mr. Qingshan, right? You have good skills."

The explosive speed shown by the "Qingshan" just now, even if he is holding a gun, is still a little frightening.

"Of course." Yuan Huaiyu put away the two silver needles and patted the dust on his body, "If there is nothing urgent, just wait a little longer. The answer to the mystery will be revealed soon."

His tone was lazy, but his words carried an unquestionable meaning.

The housekeeper turned his head and looked at Karasuma Renye, who was facing the room again, with questioning eyes.

Before Renye Karasuma could speak, everyone in the room heard strange noises coming from all directions at the same time.

Not only them, everyone inside and outside the Dusk Pavilion heard the strange noise.

That was the sound of something falling.

Susu...

Karasuma Renye raised her head, feeling the sounds coming from all directions, and felt shocked emotions rising in her heart.

The housekeeper opened his mouth wide and looked around in surprise, trying to identify the source of the sound.

"In the final analysis, this clock is just the key to trigger the mechanism."

Yuan Huaiyu paced in the room and explained: "Why did the old lady keep all the workers who built the Dusk Pavilion? Why did she name this annex [Dusk]?"

Footsteps were heard outside the corridor, and a man in black rushed in with a sudden rush. His face was filled with shock and dark color. He bent down and reported to Karasuma Renyehui:

"BOSS! Something big happened! The Dusk Pavilion, the Dusk Pavilion..."

"Speak quickly!" the housekeeper shouted sharply.

"The outer wall of the Dusk Pavilion fell off, and...it's all gold!"

"This House of Dusk is all made of gold!"

Like a thunderbolt striking into his heart, Renye Karasuma opened his mouth slightly, not knowing what to say.

"What?" the butler exclaimed, his mouth wide enough to hold a fist, and his jaw might be dislocated at any time.

"That's right. Karasuma Renye, this is the treasure your mother left for you." Yuan Huaiyu walked up and stopped in front of Karasuma Renye's wheelchair.

"When the mechanism on the clock is triggered, the outer wall of the Twilight Pavilion falls off, and gold worth hundreds of billions is revealed again."

"Under the sun's rays, it renders the sky golden, just like sunset."

"This is the true meaning of the House of Dusk."

Karasuma Renye looked at Yuanhuaiyu in front of her, and looked directly into the eyes of this handsome and unkempt man.

"From your tone, it sounds like you already know where the treasure is." Renye Karasuma spoke very slowly, as if even speaking was already very difficult for him.

"However, although I am very grateful to you for helping me find the treasure left by my mother, it is a pity that you will still have to die here today."

As soon as the words fell, the butler and the four men in black spit out tongues of fire towards Yuanhuaiyu with their guns.

Five bullets were embedded in different vital positions, but the smile on Yuan Huaiyu's face became even brighter.

Anyone with such an injury would have died long ago, but Yuan Huaiyu seemed to be fine, with no blood even flowing out of the bullet hole.

He took a step forward, leaned down slightly, and under the nervous gaze of the housekeeper and the men in black, he spoke in Karasuma Renye's ear in a voice that only the two of them could hear:

"Why are you in such a hurry?"

"Because... you are about to die, Mr. Karasuma. You are too old. Your family background, wealth, and status cannot prevent the arrival of your destined death."

He put his arm around the old man's shoulders affectionately.

"But I can."

"You've been looking for me for a long, long time, haven't you?"

"Let them out. I think we can... negotiate a deal."
