Part 2: The Ups and Downs of Internet Cafes

Gorgeously fell down.

Dizziness is the most realistic portrayal of this state.

I wrote two chapters yesterday. I don’t know if you will find it a bit confusing. I read it several times and I think it should be okay. However, I am still a little worried.

It is said that you should pay more attention to rest when you are sick, but apart from sleeping at night and not staying up late, I have not thought of any other way to rest.

Yesterday I went out to get some fresh air and saw a network opened across the street from downstairs. Later, I heard a story about the bumpy fate of the network from many sources...

When the network was first opened in 2002, the business was booming at that time. Residents and friends from the surrounding areas were attracted by the news and came to visit one after another. For a while, the incense of Baiyun Temple, a tourist attraction next to the network, was overshadowed by the smoke. It is said that there were often people dragging their families home at that time.

For tourists who come to Kou, when passing by this time, the children at home will exclaim in surprise: "Hey! There is a home network here!" The parents who come to Chicheng to burn incense are also disappointed.

Such good times did not last long. A fire broke out in a certain network in Beijing, which caused the entire city's network to be criticized and all shut down for rectification. During the rectification movement, I don't know if there was something wrong with this network because it took a long time to rectify it.

But the boss of the website obviously did not give up because of this. No matter how long the rectification took, it would end one day. Finally, the website opened successfully again, but the specific date was unknown.

The fireworks of the Internet were waiting to bloom again, but they ushered in a sudden storm - SARS.

SARS swept across the country, and Beijing was the hardest-hit area. Naturally, public places like the Internet were ordered to close. The fireworks were extinguished once again; and the Internet was once again magnificently closed.

I don’t know how long it took, but the Internet boss let the surrounding residents know that he would not be defeated because the Internet was opened again.

This time, I probably didn’t even have time to be happy. Baiyun Temple, a tourist attraction next to the net, announced that it would be expanded. And the fate of the net next to it was determined early...

It has been a long time since the expansion of Baiyunguan was completed, and there has been no news about the Internet.

But yesterday, I saw another website standing up here tenaciously. Although I don’t know if it is the same website as before, I still wish him good luck!
