69. Dragon

Without rolling a dice to determine the route, Lu Yu finally chose the route to go down the Luotan River, because the Goblin King walked along this route when he was young.

After following the rushing Luotan River for more than a month, the landscape that Lu Yu could see was still mainly hilly. Climbing mountains and exploring the woods were already must-dos on daily trips.

At first, Lu Yu and Sigrid would sigh with emotion at the beautiful natural scenery in these untrodden places. Occasionally they would stop for a moment intoxicatedly and enjoy it with a relaxed attitude. As time went by, they naturally lost their excitement.

Lulutis, on the other hand, had long been tired of seeing it. She used to live in the mountains and forests, and the scenery was the same every day, and it didn't feel new at all.

The only good news for her is that as she walks more and more inaccessible, she can finally take it out of the backpack and hang it on Lu Yu's shoulder to move around.

Traveling is such a boring thing. Put aside those moments when you stop to catch your breath and glance at the distance. Eighty percent of the time, you spend 80% of your time lowering your head and rushing along, careful to be aware of everything around you.

It was spring and everything was recovering, so Lu Yu and others were able to rely on hunting to continuously obtain food along the way.

As expected of being raised by elves, the vigorous Sigrid easily took out the squirrels and their uneaten food from several hidden tree holes.

Lu Yu's fate with squirrels is really deep. When he first traveled to this world, the first prey he caught was a squirrel. After that, he relied on the collection of white wolves and squirrels to survive the first month.

Lulutis caught two hares, skinned them with numb tentacles, and washed them.

As for Lu Yu, through the books he borrowed in Black Shield City, he judged the edible wild vegetables and brought back many of them.

After the branches were piled up, flames burst out from Lu Yu's hands and he started to barbecue.

I was very lucky today. Some wild wolves approached during the cooking process. Sigrid attacked them hard without hesitation and dragged them back to use as rations for tomorrow.

"There seems to be a big canyon ahead. Should we drill through it?" Lulutis, who was tearing into rabbit meat, asked.

"How many times have I told you to turn off the sound? Why do you turn off the sound every time you eat?"

"Don't worry about those details. Turning it on and off is too much of a waste of magic power for me now. We don't carry many magic cores with us. Fighting to support fighting is a waste of time."

Lu Yu could only answer Lulutis's question: "I don't really want to drill. Although the canyon is big, there are probably flying animals or monsters living on the rock walls."

"The former is okay, at most it's just a little harassment, the latter probably wants to eat us as snacks, but..."

The rumble in the clouds sounded at the right time.

The leaves rustled, the branches were gradually bent by the wind, and the dust on the ground flew up, almost extinguishing the lit bonfire.

There were signs of a change in the sky when Lu Yu started the fire and barbecue. Now the sky was covered with dark clouds, and blue-purple electric light flashed from time to time above the lead-gray clouds.

"If we go around the canyon, there is no place to hide from the rain in the forest, and if we don't want to get soaked, then we can only go into the canyon. At least there are caves there to take shelter from the rain."

The three of them finished their lunch at once, packed up their things, and rushed to the entrance of the canyon before the heavy rain came. They soon found a small grotto where they could take shelter from the rain.

However, Lu Yu did not rush in, but stopped in front of the grotto and looked at the sky.

Sigrid and Lulutis didn't know what Lu Yu was looking at, so they raised their heads.

The raindrops began to fall, a few sporadic drops at first, and then became more and more dense.

The strong wind howled through the canyon and passed through the narrow entrance, filtering out a creepy and weird scream.

Lu Yu turned his head and looked at the woods not far away. Because of the sudden heavy rain, the birds there were flapping their wings in panic, looking for their nests.

Lulutis also noticed something was wrong.

This canyon is so quiet that not a single bird flies here.

There are so many rock walls, natural shelters for flying monsters and animals, why can't you see one returning to its nest when the heavy rain comes?

Unless there is something here that makes the animals very jealous and they dare not approach it.

Thinking of this, Lu Yu found a stone as big as a millstone near the grotto. The three of them worked together to move to the entrance of the grotto, blocking half of the grotto so that larger monsters could not squeeze in directly.

The rain became heavier and heavier, and the moist moisture blew into the grotto with the wind, causing the temperature to drop.

Lu Yu took out the clothes he had purchased a long time ago from his backpack and handed them to Sigrid to wrap them up, which relieved the discomfort caused by the cooling.

He didn't dare to light a fire. Although Lulutis had cleverly brought back a lot of branches with her tentacles, there was something unusual about this canyon, so Lu Yu didn't want to expose himself too much.

Seeing that the rain did not stop, the three of them began to take turns to rest and recover their strength. They waited until daybreak and left here quickly after the rain stopped.

As early morning approached, the shift had already been changed for a whole round. The rain gradually became lighter, but the wind was still strong.

Lulutis lay on Sigrid's body, and both of them slept soundly. Only Lu Yu was left staring at the raindrops outside the grotto in a daze.

Extremely bored, he took out his mobile phone, pondered for a while, and chose to turn it on.

When it came into this world, this mobile phone was fully charged, but now it only has 56% remaining.

Lu Yu knew very well that the battery of his mobile phone would run out when it was used up, so most of the time he would just turn it on and turn it off after taking a look.

The moment the screen illuminated Lu Yu's face, the ground shook.

Lu Yu looked at the screen interface suspiciously, making sure that he had turned off the vibration of his phone.

He turned off his phone, a slight vibration hit him again, and fine sand fell on Lu Yu's body in the grotto.

Lu Yu listened carefully, and in the howling wind, he vaguely heard the dull sound of the wind blowing on the sails.

He thought he heard it wrong, but as the sound became louder, more urgent, and closer, Lu Yu stood up in shock.

At the same time, a sudden strange wind suddenly exploded.

The sweeping wind and waves blew the stones outside the grotto flying, like cannonballs, hitting the stone wall, breaking into pieces and splashing everywhere.

The wind poured into the grotto, and Lu Yu was caught off guard and blinded by the sand and gravel. Lulutis and Sigrid, who were sleeping, were also awakened.

The unknown creature landed heavily on the canyon on the side of Lu Yu Grottoes.

The three of them huddled in the corner of the grotto, talking quietly.

"Lu Yu, what appeared?" Lulutis asked.

"I don't know. I didn't even see his shadow. I just know that he seemed to have just returned from outside the canyon."

"This movement...Master, his size must be extremely huge, listen..."

Vaguely, the three of them seemed to be able to hear the "crack" sound of boulders being crushed mixed in the wind.

No one needs to guess anymore, because the next second...

"Roar!!"

The terrifying dragon roar sounded.

The roaring wind could not stop its roar at all. The dragon's roar suppressed all the sounds around it and made all the creatures around it feel numb.

Lu Yu broke out in cold sweat, and Sigrid turned pale.

Now they know why no animals or monsters dare to enter this empty canyon.

There is actually a dragon living here?

The three of them could only pray that the dragon would leave quickly after intimidating the surrounding creatures, so that they could run away quickly.

Even if this dragon is only as strong as steel, it will be very difficult for the three of them to deal with it. Given the size gap and racial talent, Lu Yu's summons may not have much effect.

However, contrary to expectations, the sound above the canyon became louder and louder. Along with the sound of flapping wings, the giant dragon landed below the canyon. The moment the huge body landed on the ground, the soles of Lu Yu's feet became numb.

The dragon's deep "grunt" and snorts began to echo, and each beat made Lu Yu's heart beat faster.

With a "chi" sound, the boulder the size of a millstone blocking the door seemed to have been penetrated by something, and was then pulled away.

"The breath of humanity..."

"No need to hide anymore, come out, get out, this is my territory, I won't do it again!"

The dragon outside the grotto made a human voice.

With the precedent that the Goblin King could speak human language, it would not surprise Lu Yu that such a long-lived creature like a dragon could speak human language.

But, the credibility of his promise...

Lu Yu and the others had no choice. Everyone had already smelled the smell, so they couldn't just stay in the grotto and live and die.

Lu Yu stopped Sigrid who wanted to go ahead and walked out first.

This is a "green" dragon that looks like a mountain.

His skin seemed to be embedded in the soil, with green moss-covered soil clinging to the surface of his skin, and green vegetation could even be faintly seen growing in the soil of his skin.

The pale golden vertical pupils reflected the appearance of Lu Yu and the three of them, and Lu Yu could smell the faint scent of blood from his heavy breathing.

Through the slightly open mouth, you can see the small spines densely covered on the surface of the teeth. These "sharp knives" that can tear apart prey also have food residues hanging on them.

The dragon's head was raised and it entered the rain curtain.

"Why stop? I order you to leave!"

Lu Yu didn't even think about it, so he took Sigrid and left.

The giant dragon twitched its nose and sniffed at the location of Lu Yu's cave, with suspicion in its huge eyes.

"Human, stop."

The same tone of commanding from above.

Lu Yu wanted to speed up and escape, but thought that his own legs could not compare with the flying dragon, so he gave up.

Lu Yu turned around and secretly prepared for the summons.

He didn't want to risk his life on a proud dragon's temporary kindness. The risk was too great.

The giant dragon came to Lu Yu and sniffed carefully for a while.

The huge dragon head hung slightly and stared at Lu Yu.

"You have an aura that I am familiar with."
