316. Back to the village

At dawn, Surdak and Selina left the sulfur mine camp with all the Warcraft materials obtained from hunting Salamanders.

Surdak hurried to report to the Knight Academy of Helensa City, but was worried that the salamander meat stored in the magic waist bag would go bad. Selina missed Signa who was left alone in Wall Village. Both of them wanted to go as soon as possible.

Rushing back to Wall Village, the two of them would ride horses before dawn, and they would not camp until it was completely dark after sunset. In this way, it took three days for the two of them to cross the Gobi Desert in the desolate land.

When we reached Beigou Grassland, we saw two carriages loaded with volcanic ash, heading towards Wall Village.

The carriage's wood showed brand-new wood grain, which should have been made by the village's carpentry workshop. The driver waved his long whip at Surdak from a distance and shouted: "Surdak

gram."

When we meet outside, being able to shout each other's name from a distance is the greatest recognition.

The reservoir construction site in the upper reaches of the valley in Wall Village was still busy. The two of them could see the crowds of people on the construction site from a distance on the mountain road outside the village. Even though it was already evening, the construction site was still in full swing.

A group of children were playing under a dead tree at the entrance of the village, digging out an ant hole.

Little Peter was sweating profusely and squatting among the children, holding a branch in his hand and playing with some immersion.

Old Sheila was sitting under the tree root and looking at these children. Xigna was sitting close to Old Sheila. Although she was younger than Little Peter, she was obviously much more mature than Little Peter.

She showed some disdain for the child.

In the dusk, two black spots appeared in the distance of the mountain road. Old Sheila stood up with her waist bent, holding on to the dead tree, and looked into the distance with her cloudy eyes, her vision blurred.

Old Sheila couldn't see clearly the person on the horse in the distance, so she shouted to the little girl beside her: "Xigna, Xigna..."

"Grandma Sheila, what's wrong?" Xigna raised her head and asked old Sheila.

"You have good eyes. Can you help grandma see who the two people are over there?" Old Sheila said to Xigna as she still looked into the distance.

When Xigna heard the words, she looked along where old Sheila was looking. It was a little blurry at first, but then the voices of the two people became louder and louder in Xigna's eyes, and Xigna's big eyes also became louder and louder.

It was getting brighter and brighter. She stared with big eyes and shouted excitedly: "Uh! It's... Knight Surdak and mother, mother, mother is back! Surdak has brought mother back!"

Following Xigna's clear and loud shout, the little girl left the dead tree, spread her legs and ran towards the two people.

Old Sheila chased after Xigna and kept calling her: "Xigna, Xigna, run slowly..."

When little Peter heard Xigna's shout, he stood up suddenly from the crowd. He also chased after his grandmother and ran towards the two Gubo horses that were galloping towards her.

This was the first time Selina had been away from Xigna for so long. She saw a familiar voice running towards her from a distance. The corners of Selena's eyes became wet for a moment. She once again urged Gubo to run faster.

At one o'clock, it was not until she was about to run in front of Signa that she realized that she couldn't control the horse to stop. She watched in horror as the ancient horse stepped towards Signa who was ten meters away.

Suldak suddenly rushed from the side. He stretched out one hand and tightly grasped the reins of Selina's horse. With an angry roar and two neighs of Gubolai horses, the two horses

Almost at the same time, he raised his front hooves high and stood on the spot.

Selina leaned back with the horse and fell directly from the horse.

Surdak then turned over and jumped off the horse, holding Selina who fell from the horse with both hands, and placed her firmly on the ground.

At this time, Xigna passed over the two stopped Gubo horses and threw herself into Selena's arms with a pale face. Selina was also frightened by this series of changes and could only hug her tightly.

Xigna, her legs could no longer exert any strength, and she sat in a heap on the ground.

Little Peter also rushed over on the back foot, threw himself into Suldak's arms, and shouted heartlessly that Suldak would take him to ride a horse...

In the end, it was Surdak who sent Selena and Xigna home.

Suldak then rode to the construction site of the water tank with a bag of happy little Peter. He saw that the foundation of the construction site had been poured, and the gates on the east and west sides of the water tank were now being built.

The flattened bottom of the pool has also begun to be grouted for the first time. Surdak is going to lay a thick layer of cement on the bottom of the pool, but before that, Surdak is also going to follow the local methods here to provide water storage.

The pool serves as the first waterproof layer.

The old village chief was at the scene, urging the bricklayers on the construction site to brush the first layer of tree pulp on the limestone layer of the reservoir before dark.

Rita and Natasha were also at the construction site. They were waiting for the construction site to end in the canteen. Stacks of wheat cakes were piled neatly on the dining shelf. In front of them was a large, steaming iron pot.

It probably contains some vegetable soup or chestnut porridge.

When the old village chief saw Suldak riding back on his horse, he immediately put down what he was doing and walked towards him.

The old village chief looked at Suldak up and down and saw that he was not injured. Then he felt relieved and asked, "Has Selena come back with you?"

Surdak got off his horse and saw Rita running from the dining hall, and simply replied: "Yes."

The old village chief wanted to say something more, but he hesitated. When he saw Rita, he said nothing more. He just nodded and said to Suldak: "It's good to come back, it's good to come back!"

"

Rita took little Peter off the horse and said to Suldak: "I heard that someone was chasing your cavalry into the mountains of the deserted land?"

Faced with Rita's inquiry, Suldak quickly shook his head and firmly denied it: "I didn't find anyone chasing us. Maybe it was just an adventurer passing by. Anyway, this trip to the mine was still

It went very smoothly.”

Rita smiled beautifully. She punched Suldak on the shoulder and said, "I'm so glad you came back safely. Old Sheila and Natasha haven't had any appetite for food in the past two days. They are both a little worried.

You, you have to remember to comfort them."

Then Rita jumped in front of the old village chief and asked directly: "Uncle Bright, when can we finish the work? It's almost dark!"

The old village chief didn't even raise his eyelids and scolded: "What's the rush? You have to be more careful with the first coat of grout. Whether the reservoir can hold water in the future depends on whether the first coat of grout is done well or not!"

Rita was scolded by the old village chief and was so frightened that she quickly ran back to the dining hall with little Peter in her arms, where she and Natasha gathered together to murmur.

Looking around Ta, it can be seen that the relationship between the two of them is very harmonious.

"Have those two big guys been dealt with?" the old village chief asked Suldak again.

Surdak turned around and took out two bones from the canvas bag next to Gubolai Ma and handed them to the old village chief. Then he replied: "Everything has been solved."
