334. Onboarding

Hilanza City Guard Camp is not a city defense force. The guard camp is mainly responsible for public security and profiteering events inside and outside the city. It is like the police station in another world in Suldak's memory, but it is bigger than the police station.

There needs to be more control.

The headquarters of the Hellanza City Guard Battalion is located in a large yard next to the city hall. A very spacious stable was built on the west side of the yard, and on the east side is an L-shaped building. It is divided into four floors, just above the city hall.

Separated by a wall, in the courtyard in front of this building stands a seven or eight meter high sculpture of a sword, shield and scepter carved from obsidian. Below the sculpture, on the base, is a circle of reliefs, a group of knights,

The group of figures of warriors, swordsmen, and archers make this relief look majestic.

There used to be a shallow pool in front of the statue. Probably as winter is approaching, the pool has completely dried up and is covered with fallen leaves.

Karl took Surdak into the main building. A woman wearing a black light leather uniform walked out of the building quickly holding a document bag. When she saw Surdak, she smiled and said hello: "Captain Karl

, your squadron didn’t go out to look for clues today?”

Karl stopped and took the initiative to explain to the lady: "Everyone else has gone out. Our jurisdiction is outside the city and is on the fringe of this mission. We are here today to bring new people on board."

Although the lady has an ordinary appearance, her figure is indeed very well-proportioned. She wears a tight-fitting light leather armor and looks very elegant. She always has a faint smile on her face when she speaks, making people feel very easy to get along with her.

The lady looked at Suldak briefly, nodded to him in a friendly manner, and then said to Karl: "Ms. Flora happened to be here. After completing the entry formalities at her place, she came to see me."

Karl readily agreed: "Okay."

After the lady holding the document bag walked out of the main building, Karl said to Suldak: "She is Gwendolyn from the Logistics Equipment Section. She is an internal staff member of the security battalion and is responsible for distributing standard weapons and equipment.

After completing the onboarding procedures, I will take you to find her to collect the items distributed by the guard camp. This is also one of the benefits here. As long as you use it carefully, even if it is damaged, you can report it for repair as long as you can explain the reason. If it cannot be repaired,

If this kind of problem arises, it can be replaced with a new one.”

It turned out that he was responsible for the distribution of logistics equipment. No wonder Karl took the initiative to stop and talk.

Climbing up the zigzag oak stairs to the second floor of the building, Suldak couldn't help but chase after Karl and continued the previous topic: "So, this Vic is secretly learning black magic?"

Karl lowered his voice a lot and said to Suldak: "The problem lies here. A young noble actually learned the forbidden magic demon summoning technique in black magic. The law enforcement team of the Magic Union is currently in Ai

Viscount Mitte is investigating this matter in his manor. Once any clues are found, I am afraid that Viscount Emmitt will not be able to escape the blame. No one can say to what extent the Black Magic Priory is present in Helensa City.

clear."

Walking along the corridor toward the innermost room, Karl continued: "Last night, the torture department got some information from the responder. Almost all the thirty teams of the guard battalion were mobilized. The guard battalion was dispatched this time just to be able to

Dig out the Black Magic Monastery from the city of Helensa as soon as possible to avoid involving more nobles..."

At this point, Karl stopped talking. He stopped in front of a wooden door. He first straightened his collar, cuffs, and hem, and then stood up straight. Then he knocked gently on the door. There was a sound coming from inside.

A calm voice: "Come in!"

The office is not big, but it is very warmly decorated. A set of magic-patterned armor with a magical halo hanging on the wooden frame next to the window. There is also a pair of weapons engraved with magic patterns on the table.

There are two bookshelves against the wall. There are only a few books on the bookshelves, but there are some collectibles.

There was a desk in the front of the room, and a middle-aged swordsman sat behind the desk. His eyes were as sharp as the double-edged sword. He first glanced at Karl lightly, and then turned his gaze to

Surdak felt as if a ferocious beast was staring at him, and the dangerous aura on the opponent's body made him breathless.

Karl took the lead to take half a step, puffed out his chest and said seriously to the middle-aged swordsman: "Captain Sauron, Karl Casement has come to report with the new member of the support team, Suldak."

Viscount Sauron Aldington looked at Suldak and asked him: "Tell me about your origins."

Surdak straightened his back and said loudly to the middle-aged swordsman in front of him: "Suldak came from Wall Village in Helensa City and served as the fourth battalion of the 57th Heavy Armored Infantry Regiment.

Captain of the Sixth Squadron..."

Regarding the origin of Suldak, Viscount Sauron Aldington raised his eyes, glanced at Surdak twice in surprise, and asked: "Are you in the Infantry Regiment of Count Mond Goss?"

Have you ever held a position?”

"Yes, sir! My status as a reserve knight is to occupy one of the places of Count Gos." Surdak replied.

Viscount Sauron Aldington nodded slightly and said suddenly: "No wonder he returned to Helensa City from the front line. Okay, Karl, take Knight Surdak to find Flora. I have already told her

Okay, you register there and let him follow you in the support squadron for a while."

Karl looked happy, raised his chest, gave a knightly salute, and said loudly:

 “Okay, Captain Sauron!”

The two people walked out of Captain Solon Aldington's office. Karl led Suldak to the office next door and met Ms. Flora, who was in charge of personnel in the guard camp. As expected, she was just like Solon Aldington.

As Viscount Erdington said, regarding Suldak's entry, he had already given a greeting, so the entry process was extremely smooth. He simply filled out a form and left with a note.

Walking out of the office of the human resources department.

The material warehouse of the Logistics Department is located on the basement floor of the main building. Karl took Suldak along the stairs of the main building directly to the door of the material warehouse. As expected, he saw Ms. Wingedolin from the equipment department again at the registration desk. She looked at

When Karl walked in with Surdak, he first checked the note in Karl's hand, and then said to Karl and Surdak: "Wait a moment, I'm going to get the guard camp badge!"

After speaking, he walked into the secret room with the note. Karl seemed to be very familiar with this process, so he and Suldak stood outside, chatting and waiting.

Not long after, Ms. Wingedolin walked out of the secret room holding an iron-wood box. In front of Suldak, she took out a silver guard battalion badge from the box. This badge was printed

It was a miniature version of the sword, shield and scepter statue in the yard of the guard camp, and there was a secret number engraved on the back of the badge. Ms. Wingedolin copied the number on the badge onto a note and put the note into a wooden box.

Then he handed the badge to Surdak.

The wooden box containing the notes was put back into the secret room.

Seeing Suldak wearing the badge on his chest, Ms. Wingedolin smiled lightly and said: "This guard camp badge is a certificate to prove your identity. You must keep it well. Now I will take you to collect your uniform and leather armor."

The suit here is pretty standard for you. The largest size should be very suitable for you. There are few people in Helensa City who are as strong as you. If you didn't explain your identity, I would have thought you were from the north!

"

She then turned to Karl next to her and asked: "Karl, are the saddles and horses of the Surdak knights included in the subsidy, or are they received from the logistics department?"

Karl knew that Suldak himself had horses, so he directly said: "Convert it into the subsidy."

Wengodorin nodded, crossed out these two items in the supplies column, and then reminded Suldak: "You can also bring your old saddle here for repair later, and the leather guard at the guard camp is here."

Routine maintenance of the tools is free.”
