852. Copper mine

Nowadays, ghost-striped red ant colonies can no longer be seen in hilly and mountainous areas.

However, occasionally some red ants will emerge from inexplicable places, causing a lot of trouble to people in hilly and mountainous areas.

These small groups of ghost-patterned red ants lurking in the hills and mountains happen to be the hunting targets of many mercenary groups and adventure groups. There are often only a few soldier ants in their groups, and their combat effectiveness is not that strong. As long as they cooperate closely during the battle, they can attack.

Killing these ghost-striped soldier ants is not difficult.

At least half of the adventure groups in Wilkes City are now hunting in the hills and mountains north of the Thorny Mountains.

Suldak led five hundred cavalry and eighteen thunder rhinoceros into the Invercargill Warcraft Forest. Although the forest was full of ghost-striped red ants, they were unable to form an offensive tide of beasts.

Perhaps because there is no unified command from the ghost-striped ant queen, the ghost-striped red ants in the Warcraft Forest are more like a piece of loose sand.

Although there are many ghost-marked red ants in the forest, there are often some desperate ghost-marked red ants that rush up and are either hacked to death by the cavalry with their swords, or shot to death by the archery skills on both sides of the Thunder Rhinoceros.

As the army approached the World of Warcraft Forest, they were clearing away these scattered ghost-marked red ants.

The speed of travel becomes very slow...

This forest was ravaged by red ants, and almost all the green leaves of the trees were eaten by red ants.

From a distance, the entire forest land became bare.

The scenery among the mountains and forests... is like entering a severe winter without snow.

The White Forest Plane is like spring all year round. The calendar here is also calculated based on the time of the Green Empire of Roland Continent. It is June in the Green Empire. The withered yellow trees all over the mountains and plains make people feel that this place is very depressed.

Although many trees sprouted green branches and buds, some dead trees died completely.

The entire Invercargill Warcraft Forest is waiting for the red ants to completely recede, and then the Warcraft Forest will slowly recover, the vegetation here will grow again, and some of the escaped beasts will return here.

There is almost nothing left in Invercargill Forest, and the environment is very difficult.

Some high-level monsters that survived the beast tide are hiding in hidden corners of the forest. The fact that they can survive the impact of the ant colony is enough to show that they possess extraordinary power.

These high-level monsters were once the overlords of this forest and had a strong sense of territory...

They have a strong sense of attack against intruders, but this time they have to face Surdak's cavalry battalion and archer battalion.

Suldak took the map given to him by Marquis Luther, carefully distinguished the surrounding reference objects, and chose the direction to move forward.

The cavalry battalion easily passed through an empty valley, and then climbed over a bare mountain ridge. He discovered a copper mine vein in the distance on the mountain ridge. The bare mountain range was not blocked by vegetation, and one could see the mountains above the ridge.

Blue marks...

Unexpectedly, it was so easy to find the location of the first mineral vein. Surdak seemed very excited. The wealth buried here will belong to him in the future.

But before that, Surdak needs to open up the mountainous area here, at least to include it in the land territory of the White Forest Plane.

"That's it..."

Surdak was riding on the horse, holding the reins with one hand and looking at the mountains in the distance.

Andrew squinted his eyes, followed Suldak's gaze, and asked him:

"Boss, do we want to completely incorporate this mountain range into the territory of the Green Empire now?"

Suldak nodded and said: "That's it, we must occupy this place. Now the entire Invercargill Warcraft Forest is empty. This is the best time for us to expand our territory. I want the entire mineral vein in the forest."

…”

"Let's go, let's see how long this vein is..."

After saying that, Suldak and his cavalry rushed to the foot of the mineral mountain.

Looking over the mountains at a glance, I thought it was not too far away.

But when I actually walked there, I realized that the distance was not that far.

After leaving for half a day, and seeing that the sky had darkened, the cavalry battalion finally arrived at the southernmost end of the mine.

At this time, Andrew was completely dumbfounded. He only looked at the above-ground part of this mineral vein, which stretched for several kilometers to the northwest. Then it looked like a giant beast dormant in the forest, thrusting its head into the mountain forest.

"Boss, do we have to dig up the entire mountain here?" Andrew asked as he followed Suldak.

He doesn't know much about ore mining.

Surdak shook his head, took out a cloth bag, then jumped off his horse, found two rocks at random on the hillside, and put them in them.

"We need to bring back some ore for refining to see the quality of the ore in this vein. Many of the ores with low mineral content may not be of much use," Surdak replied.

The cavalry battalion stopped in the open land at the northern end of the mine. Surdak had seen a lot of copper-green gravel along the way. It could be seen that there was indeed a large amount of copper-containing ore here, and there was a lot of it just exposed on the surface.

The cavalry were not idle after arriving at their destination. They began to cut trees on the hillside, preparing to build some wooden houses and set up camp near this mineral vein.

Surdak rode around here on horseback and found that this was the only place suitable for building wooden houses nearby.

Invercargill Monster Forest is rich in wood resources, and wooden houses can be built very quickly...

Samira led the Thunder Rhino to move forward. She was responsible for the surrounding security. In order to avoid high-level monsters lurking in the surrounding mountains, she personally led the archer group to check if there was any situation around the camp.

The bed crossbow on the Thunder Rhino has very good suppressive power against the monsters in the Invercargill Forest.

There are not many Warcraft in this World of Warcraft forest now. If Surdak wants to open up here, there is no problem. It is not troublesome to open up the territory in the early stage. He is worried about how to continue to maintain the territory after the return of Warcraft.

You must know that this is the hinterland of the Warcraft Forest.

A ghost-striped soldier ant suddenly sprang out from the weeds and bit directly at the leg of Surdak's horse.

The soldiers standing aside reacted quickly, grabbing the spears in their hands and blocking the ghost-patterned soldier ant. Andrew rushed forward and chopped off the head of the ghost-patterned soldier ant.

Andrew looked at the mountains at his feet and asked Suldak: "Boss, if copper mines are really dug out from here in the future, how will we transport the ores out?"

"We will use these Thunder Rhinoceros for the time being. There should be no problem transporting ore with such big guys..." Surdak said to Andrew.

"If possible, maybe an alchemy workshop will be built here in the future. The copper mined from here will be directly smelted into copper ingots and then transported to Dodan Town." Surdak said while standing next to Andrew.
