8. Courage

The military camp of the 57th Heavy Armored Infantry Regiment is built on a slope at the foot of the forest farm. To the west of the forest farm is the Gandhar Mountains. From the south of this hill, you can have a panoramic view of the vast plain south of the forest farm.

The rivers and streams meandering down from the Khandaur Mountains enter the southern plains here. This is the season with the most abundant rainfall in Handanar County.

Jie Longnan ran out of the dense forest at the foot of the mountain covered in blood. He was still wearing mail armor on his upper body, but his lower body only had blood-stained linen shorts. He was holding a standard saber in his hand, but Fang Dun no longer knew

Wherever he was going, he ran towards the camp in a panic.

The temporary market was located between the camp and the forest farm. At this time, a soldier covered in blood ran out of the dense forest of the forest farm. Of course, the first person to discover this situation was the people from the market. He Boqiang heard the news from the people in the market.

He exclaimed, only to find Jie Longnan running back from the forest in embarrassment.

"Hey, little Zach, why are you going?" Curly-haired Gabi shouted to He Boqiang.

At this time, He Boqiang had already taken long strides and ran towards Jie Longnan. He passed by the noisy market and nimbly avoided many pedestrians in the market.

As I walked through the market, my body felt as light as a gust of wind.

"When I was young, I ran as fast as him!" A drunken old man sitting in an open-air tavern said to Larkin, who was also drinking.

Larkin squinted his eyes, followed He Boqiang's back, and said casually: "Of course I know..."

Except for He Boqiang, several soldiers wearing standard mail armor rushed out from the market. Just by their attire, it was possible to conclude that they were all soldiers from the 57th Infantry Regiment barracks. Perhaps it was because they were fully armed and well-equipped.

He was wearing heavy armor, so when running towards Jie Longnan, He Boqiang was always the first to run.

He Boqiang faced Jie Longnan and helped steady the black boy who was running a little staggeringly.

There are several wooden arrows hanging on the armor behind the black boy Jie Longnan. There is no way for these wooden arrows to penetrate the armor. Only when they hit parts without armor will the soldiers be injured. The injury on Jie Longnan's body is only on his shoulder.

A cut was made on his upper body with a sharp weapon, as if someone had cut his throat, but the position was slightly off.

Sweat mixed with blood, Jie Longnan ran out of breath, his face full of anxiety.

Seeing He Boqiang coming towards him, he was not polite and directly held his arms with both hands. He was exhausted from running now.

"Take me back to the military camp quickly. I want to report to Baron Sidney that a group of indigenous warriors appeared in the valley west of the forest farm. Sam and the rest are dealing with the indigenous people in the valley. I want to ask Baron Sidney to send

Reinforcements... clear out those bastard natives." Jie Longnan said to He Boqiang in a panic.

Without hesitation, He Boqiang lowered himself to hold one of Jie Longnan's arms, preparing to carry him back to the barracks of the 57th Heavy Armored Infantry Regiment.

At this time, the infantry regiment soldiers who were following He Boqiang also ran up and asked Jie Longnan: "What happened? Were you ambushed by evil spirits?"

He Boqiang was stopped by two infantry regiment soldiers.

Jellonan repeated to these infantry regiment soldiers: "We encountered a large group of indigenous people from Handanar County ambushed..."

One of the infantry regiment soldiers asked Jie Longnan: "Which brigade are you from?"

Jie Longnan quickly replied: "Our commander is Baron Sidney of the Fourth Battalion..."

Afterwards, the black boy Jie Longnan, supported by two soldiers wearing standard armor, walked quickly to the camp. Another soldier asked Jie Longnan about the specific situation while walking.

No one paid attention to He Boqiang. For a moment, it seemed that nothing happened without him. He Boqiang stood on the grass on the slope and looked at Jie Longnan in a daze as he rushed towards the camp.

Jie Longnan didn't even have time to look back at He Boqiang.

Jie Longnan did not bring much useful information to He Boqiang. He only said that his team was responsible for patrolling the mountain road in the valley west of the forest farm and found a group of natives from Handanar County.

He Boqiang did not know these natives of Handanar County, but only heard a few words of these natives from Suldak:

'Although these natives were once the owners of this land, they are still in a very backward tribal and clan social system. To the regular army of the Green Empire, these natives are completely a group of uncivilized monkeys. The soldiers of the heavy armored infantry regiment have never

The natives of Handanar County were not taken seriously.'

But I didn't expect that the people who would cause trouble to the second team this time were precisely these aborigines armed with wooden bows and stone spears.

Hearing that Suldak and Sam were still fighting the natives of Handanar County in the valley west of the forest farm, He Boqiang felt that the blood in his body was boiling.

I remembered that Surdak had said in the morning that he hoped he would have better luck on this mission, but now it is definitely not good news.

He Boqiang felt his hands were heavy. He lowered his head and found that the Roman sword he had just carefully polished behind the market stall was still in his hand. He didn't know where the courage came from. It was probably the strength of this body that gave He Boqiang

A decision that shocked me.

He did not return to the market stalls, but turned around and silently took a look at the noisy temporary market.

He Boqiang found that many people in the market were watching the excitement. Some watched the three infantry regiment soldiers helping Jie Longnan run back to the camp quickly, while others stretched their necks to see if there would be a sudden wave of wind coming out of the woodland here.

When the enemy came, some people simply ran back to their tents to prepare to pack some of their goods.

He didn't see Larkin and Gabi in the crowd, and he wanted to tell Larkin that he just wanted to borrow his Roman sword.

However, since Larkin was not found in the crowd, He Boqiang had no intention of going back. He just raised the Roman sword in his hand towards the street, hoping that Larkin would understand what he meant.

Before Larkin could react, 'Maybe he didn't see it at all', He Boqiang thought in his mind.

Then he started running slowly without looking back, and rushed into the dense forest of the forest farm. He planned to follow the path Jie Longnan ran back to retrieve Suldak and Sam, holding the

A Roman sword should be of some help. He Boqiang knew that his body was very strong, but he had not experienced a battle yet. Rushing into the dense forest ahead made his whole body become excited.

A wave of heat surged up from the soles of his feet, and there was an inexplicable power in his body.

He dove into the dense forest without sparing any physical strength, but only after entering the dense forest did he realize that he had no idea which way Jie Longnan had taken.

He Boqiang paused for a moment at a loss, then turned to the west side of the forest farm. He heard from Suldak that the valley mountain road was to the west of the forest farm.

A large leaf with countless jagged edges scratched across his face, drawing a blood line on his face. This kind of leaf contains toxins that stimulate the sensory nerves, so the tiny wound on his face is particularly painful.

pain.

Stepping on the soft leaf rot soil in the forest, the forest is very humid, and it seems that water can be produced with every step.

Some insects will emerge from the rotten leaves and run away...

He Boqiang took a deep breath, suppressed the discomfort in his stomach, wiped his face hard, and chased straight to the west side of the forest farm.
